This song saved my life. A few years back, I almost drowned into depression when I went through what I must consider as the most devastating part of my life. Some people tried to ruin my image, my career, and my life. I was helpless at that time, that if only I could disappear in a blink of an eye and fade in the air, I rather would. I lost my will to live. I was uncertain about my life. I never knew what's going to happen to me. Along the way, this song helped me build myself and my relationship to God ever again, and it helped me in my process of healing. Now, God has put me in the place where I believe He plans me to be into. To everyone out there, no matter how many may try to bring you down, hold on to the Star above us. He will never leave you. He will rise you up. He will heal you, restore you, and keep you going. 🙏

Granted I'm a huge Mariah fan so maybe I'm biased but this song is undeniably captivating. So simple and beautiful. She doesn't need to do the big runs anymore. She can tell a story with the emotion she sets in her voice. This song is a classic-sounding Christmas song. Reminiscent of her music from the 90s, but more spacious than any of the Christmas songs she sang prior to this. She's glowing here as well. I'm going to see this awful movie only because I want to hear Mariah singing at the end.

Celine’s biggest set back is she doesn’t write her own music and can’t really do the dance songs, she’s confined to ballads which is a bit limiting

Pinklaeti she also cannot transition into head voice anymore without being on the verge of cracking and cannot use vibrato that much on mid notes. Also, i was answering the poster's "mariah's voice gets better with age." Obviously not. Mariah can only sing low to mid chest notes. The old mariah could do that and more.
