    🔺Today's Topic:
    Full coverage tips AKA soft gel extensions have been all the rave since their debut, and for good reason… They make us go from short to long pretty nails instantly (well, technically within two hours or so.)
    They are strong yet super lightweight, and I am so happy to count them as a tool and service in my arsenal for soft gel nail services.
    If you’re new to them… you will have the common struggles anyone has when using any new system or product. So be a little gracious with yourself.
    Today, we’ll be focusing on ensuring the cuticle end of the full coverage tip is flushed to the natural nail, so that we can then overlay it smoothly.
    To demonstrate this topic I will be using Kokoist Full Coverage Tips. Their line of full coverage tips is known as Gelip.
    Kokoist Gel Tips are meant to be applied about 1-2mm away from the cuticle area and then re-balanced. This is exactly the process I will be covering with you today.

    This is so helpful, and explains why my gelip looks lumpy. I tried a sanding band , I’ll use a fine corn bit next time

    how often would you fill/rebalance a full coverage tip? i’m starting to offer gel-x and i’m wondering if i should offer full sets only or offer fills and just add builder gel. im seeing a lot of other gel-x specialists only offer full sets and they soak off every 3 weeks. that seems a bit annoying (also not sure if that’s a bit invasive?) Also with doing builder gel fills, at some point the nail will no longer be a full coverage tip and then will be builder gel so that’s a bit confusing also. Any tips? thank you in advance ❤

      The salon I went to only did full sets and they pushed everyone to switch to full cover tips. It was annoying and time consuming to have to soak off everytime. I hated it and stopped going. I do my own nails now. I think it would have been beneficial to offer fills.

    I need help to learn about soft gel and I really need help with editing so my videos don't all take an hour or more and to be able to add pictures and do voice overs because I can't always concentrate on what I am saying and making sure that I'm in frame

    It does look more natural. Have you ever tried thinning down the cuticle end before applying the nail so lip is almost flush?

      Yes. I just go with what the system recommends.

    Hi Paola !! Can Gelips get removed with ceramic bits ? Instead of T-Rex like

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, but the plastic may wear down your bit faster.
      If you do a lot full coverage tips I would increase to coarse ceramic for removal.

      Hi! The only one I am using now is from a Korean Company called Saeshin. You can find them here paolaponcenails.com/saeshin (code PPN5 for 5% off). Otherwise in this video I was using the Nial Labo Portable.
