Thanks for checking out NEW JEANS., They are a NEW VIBE to KPOP right now and have many people talking. These are a few of their newest comeback tracks along with a few other songs they dropped in July. Yall should also check out their debut song/mv "Attention" which is what blew them up. Then they dropped their song/mv called “Hype Boy” and after that it was set in stone for their success. BTW, two of the members are Australian, Hanni (Vietnamese-Australian) and Danielle (Korean- White European Australian).
NewJeans is a five-member girl group under ADOR which is a subsidiary label of HYBE (if u don't know BTS is under HYBE). NWJNS was formed by Min Hee Jin, who was a creative director for SM Entertainment (another notable labeled kpop company) and worked closely with K-pop concepts of kpop groups Red Velvet, F(x), EXO, Girls Generation, and SHINee who are all major groups in KPOP as well.
NWJNS debuted on August 1, 2022, with their self-titled mini album. Their fandom name is Tokki ( Korean for Bunnies).
Fun fact: the debut of NewJeans was UNKNOWN and they dropped their debut song/mv “Attention” out of no where on July 22, 2022. I'd say NWJNS are def BIG right now and are paving new wave of kpop for themselves.
Also, each member does not have official roles/positions and there is no set leader in NWJNS just like HOW there is no leader in BLACKPINK.

I won't say new vibe..half of 4th gen started with Y2k concept and NJ got the most attention. Oh and thanks to BTS their sister group are getting the attention.

Their sound is entirely unique, and their mvs arent the hollywood budget blockbusters that personify the last 2 generations of kpop. also, they rolled out with little to no advertising, bts really has nothing to do with their popularity besides being under hybe. their hype and stability are of their own merit
Also newjeans is a play of word of new genes making them a new generation of K-pop it’s also supposed to represent how jeans are timeless no matter the era they have always been around just like the girls Newjeans will always be trendy
Their shit is catchy as fuck. Do OMG, Ditto and ETA. They drop music so freaking fast. Very tik tok-ish every single time.
11:32 you should watch their dance practice - all their dances are quite difficult. (I recommend dance practices for ETA and NewJeans)

NewJeans somehow manage to capture "nostalgia" with every song, and they make so much sense and are so catchy so whether you have heard something similar before or not it feels like you have it's crazy.
They’re called New Jeans bc It alludes to the idea that jeans are a timeless fashion item and the group's intention to carve a timeless image for themselves. The name is also a word play on the phrase "new genes", referring to the group ushering a new generation of Kpop music.
the backing track for Super Shy is the Powerpuff Girls opening theme. NewJeans are the new IT group. we are all so obsessed with them! Please check out Ditto, ETA, or Cool With You. all such hits!!!
They have a lightstick which is called a Binky Bong that Hyein was holding in the beginning.

You guys should react to more of their stuff newjeans are very big right now with only a year of being out their album was #1 on billboard on billboard 200 surpassing the Barbie album. Their songs are just a vibe and very catchy people can’t get enough if newjeans they currently have 12 songs out and have won many awards since debut they are definitely future K-pop leaders for sure they performed on lollapalloza making their US debut(meaning they never promoted in the US) the girls weren’t expecting a lot of people they thought it was gonna be a stage where they had to appeal to the American audience but to their surprise more then 70,000 people showed up to their stage that just came for newjeans people were screaming their songs and they weren’t even headliners so that just goes to show the newjeans impact

NewJeans kinda has 2 meanings, new jeans as a classic fashion staple, their way of saying their music won't get out of style and new 'genes' as they're bringing something new to kpop as the new generation. Their debut ep is called New Jeans lol, I recommend to check the rest of their discography, they haven't missed so far.
