    I think I'll make mine out of one of those camping stove butane canisters or a regular butane/MAP gas cyliner. Thick enough to get actual threads and less likely to explode if over-pressurized.

    hi gentleman, could you explain to us your type of penetrating agent, that is to say which product you use? the quantity to be applied and the air pressure to be applied, ie if there is a rule of proportion in relation to the air pressure? thank you so much?

    This is NOT the technique to properly apply solder. Additionally, using liquid flux as was done will get some of it inside the can where it will corrode. Last, air from a compressor always contains water vapor, which eventually will corrode/ rust the interior of the can MAKING IT unsafe.

    Since you drill the hole at the button, how can you remove the small debris from your drilling?
    I did one at the top, but didn’t sufficiently take out the debris - the result, after just a few sprays, the spray tube got clogged. I was careful with my next project and used magnet to suck out the small pieces. But that would be nearly impossible if the hole in at the center of a concave surface. Awaiting some inspiration!

    • @praisethebeatles
      @praisethebeatles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      He never drills, he uses what looks like an awl to punch the hole, and a center punch to widen it

    • @danieledomenicali

      magnet will be of little use since the debris are aluminium

      All out spray cans are steel,
      You could always put a small magnet on the bottom next the the valve, and any debris left inside would stick to the magnet, the same way the drain plug in your cars gearbox, and diffs have magnets for collecting metal filings

      I think drilling creates fine particles. But when the hole is made with a piercing tool with pressure or hammer, the fine particles are not created. The pierced wall metal does not leave the wall and can not enter into spray pipe.

    Totally unnecessary to do an external filling port for the liquid and the bursting gas!😂 The bottles own pressing filter will work both ways! Output AND input (filling)!😊 just push/press the tube down and get all the left pressure out of the empty can, then fill the can thru the tube back fulled with liquid. Then repressurize the can with air via the same tube!😊😉👍

      I don't know what flux he is using but Acid core Plumbers flux should work fine. Even electrical rosin core flux will work great. The Acid core one just has to rinse off with water otherwise with time it will eat away at the metal and fail.

      Aerosol cans are filled to 3ATM pressure. As 1 ATM is about 15 psi, 3 ATM works out to 45 psi.
      I think 90 psi is too high for a can.

    Most spray cans use a propellant with a low boiling point not atmospheric air, hence "Aerosol". Atmospheric air contains moisture and oxygen which will ruin most products. Who wants moisture in their WD40 or paint. Conclusion. Very limited usage. This is time consuming and inefficient. Better to buy a spray gun or an airbrush.
