I Got My First Vending Machine Location | Collection
Description: In this video, I tell the story of spending $3,000 on a combo vending machine and finally getting it placed in my first location. After putting the machine in the first location and quickly having to remove it, I felt stuck. But after spending about 1 week cold calling, I was able to place to machine after a lunch with a friend of mine. He had a buddy who owned a multi-unit apartment complex that agreed to let me place my vending machine there. After getting him a quarter machine for his location, I placed the vending machine that is now collecting passive income daily. You should have bust a gut to put machines in the hotel! Footfall there will be WAY more than in an apartment complex plus people will be far more likely to need a snack or drink in a hotel as opposed to needing one a few yards from their fridge at home in the apartment complex...

Just my two cents: I think an auto shop would’ve been a better move to place a vending machine. At an auto shop people sometimes stay for hours at a time waiting on their car to get done and get hungry. At an apartment complex, people are already near their home and can just get snacks inside their apartment.

If you can source your products where convenience stores and other larger vending machine companies source from, you could have a lower unit cost. Restaurant supply stores or I think there are like beverage warehouses

You should put a suggestion box hooked to the machine with a pen and small notes. Ask the people what they want in it.

Consider putting products in your vending machines, that people may need. Maybe toothbrushes, feminine products or chewing gum. Things people in apartment complexes want. Not everyone wants to go to the store for a simple thing they need late at night.

WILL I swear to you. Auto-shops are insane for vending machines. Every worker is constantly going to them and using them as they are the closest spot for a snack.
If you go anywhere else while at work you have to clock out. If you go to the vending machine up front you do not have to clock out.
Every shop have ever worked at every worker spend $5-$20 a day at the vending machine.
Energy drinks sell like crazy as well.

you should really invest in a high quality coin machine because the one that was in the video was you have to fill the tubs but a more expensive coin machine you can just fill it up in a hopper and save you so hassle putting in the quarters, and last a very long time.
