You make a good argument. I still think that there is a lot more effort that goes into playing games for money than people think. Don't see how it could be any different. I guess getting to 1,000 subs should be a problem for some, but there's so many people with 1k+ sub youtube channels I don't see how you'd not start making tons of money on here.

Because the market is saturated IMO. I already tune out anything with that format these days, regardless of how original the topic. I do wonder how many others are like me.

As soon as I saw the title, I said "No!", lol. It took me a couple years of creating content with no pay to reach the 1,000 sub mark. And each video takes a number of hours to create, shoot, edit and post. And with the way the YT algorithm treats you, if you stop putting out content, even those "evergreen" videos will be back shelf and not being promoted to people, and therefore your earnings will continue to go down. Good summation. I agree.

Good point actually. You'd have to be like silver-level at minimum (100k+ subs) for any of your evergreen content to truly stay evergreen. Maybe nowadays you have to be at least 500k+...

I used to do mobile faceless gaming videos on my phone. I used a free editing app i found and made about 20 videos before i couldn’t continue because of school and also one of the 2 games i played got its servers closed

That's not quite the style I think people are talking about though. I know what you mean, but the kind they're talking about are the ones that have these clear stock graphics and transitions to make things look like it's a professionally made video but not really.

Once you said no to low effort, I was going to throw my hand if you called TH-cam beer money! Have you looked into other things like a TH-cam membership or Patreon? Or do Memberships like that go against the beer money idea?

Yeah, currently brainstorming actually for ideas that give substance and value to a member outside of just straight donations.
And after all your crokinole videos, no way in hell do I call that low effort LOL.

I already try to ignore aby channel that's purely AI. Its diluted the actual and factual channels that have some correct information.

Yeah. I admit I want to start using it to help out with things I'm weak on like SEO, writing some blurbs and parts of scripts and such, but I started realizing half the channels being recommended to me lately follow the exact same format, same graphics, same language, etc. right down to the letter.
I actually am planning on using AI to make a script for something non beer money related, involving a tabletop game my wife and I play, sort of like a radio show though, not in this format... but I consider that a bit more original and I'm still doing most the editing myself. Original ideas always win out over copy/paste.
To me, that ship has sailed. Or if it hasn't, give it max 3 years.
