coming back here after learning about his sudden passing. thank you, Sir, for being such an inspiration for a young artist like me. i hope you rest easy.
Watching him draw fills me with wonder, his skill was truly amazing. It saddens me, the thought that we won't be spoiled with any more of his art. I always eagerly awaited his new sketchbooks and I'm happy to own one of his drawings. Life is so fickle, he will be missed, one of the GOATs.
Every time I watch a vid of him drawing it feels like I'm watching an episode of Heroes or something. His ability to visualize an image and then translate it directly to paper without a pencil or construction is just otherwordly. It honestly does look superhuman at times (although it obv came from decades of hard work and practice).
@@emigoldber Tell me about it 🤣 honestly though who in their right mind wouldnt make their own pornographic content if they could? 😅 I mean even those who cant draw enjoy drawing sex related things for a laugh 😁
Wow. This is like Michelangelo level of art. For Mike he said the sculpture was there he just needed to unearth it. This man’s the same. The drawings there, he just needs to ink it.
So effortless. Every line, every stroke, every movement of the hand is carefree. Not thinking of what will be needed to be done but only what will be on that paper and the rest comes with intuition. A true master indeed.
that deranged turn of events at 6:06 tho lmao, I'm gonna miss this man. I would have loved to meet him but I guess I'll continue looking up to him with every art I draw.
I own the Omphalos book by Kim Jung gi which in my opinion is his best work because it’s all the stuff he isn’t really allowed to do in public event his more “perverted” work but I believe it’s some of his best work because it’s him at his most free and honest.
In an interview with Proko, he had mentioned there still were some drawings which were so offensive that they couldn't be included in Omphalos. He was just beyond anything.
When is the next video? :D Love the series, always fun and relaxing to listen to these artists talk about their philosophy and funny ideas as well as ideadevelopment.
Alex O yeah that makes sense, it’s ok to watch someone’s head get blown off, but god forbid there be nudity of any kind; really? Are we still in the fucking puritan tyrannical Victorian ages?
You know you're a master when u ditch the pencil and eraser. Only pen this guy don't make mistakes or use guidelines for his work. And when he does make a mistake you don't notice it because he just goes with it and use it in his work.
