    great review! I'm a big Hitachi fan they have a total of 42 tools in their 18 volt slide pack line. In the UK they have a brushless grinder and a brushless circular saw that has not hit the US market yet. They make awesome miter saws and pneumatic nailers.

      Cody Robertson Thanks Cody! I hope they continue to expand over here in the US! I have reviews coming up on their Miter Saw (12" sliding compound) & a pneumatic nailer soon :) Stay tuned!

      +Real Tool Reviews Hitachi has a really nice 18 volt led jobsite work light model UB18DGL and they also have probably one of the coolest 18 volt flashlight that I've ever seen model UB18DJL both are available to purchase on Amazon as a bare tool and would make a great review.

    Great review and demonstration. A tool free blade changing system is always a plus.

    Good review, enjoyed your video. I would say that I am a bit biased as I have the Bosch corded and 18v cordless versions. However, the "tooless" feature is somewhat antiquated using a pin it seems and just another part that may get lost in a vent or mud during blade changes. I would hope Hitachi improves that. Even though most of my tools are Bosch I chose the Bosch Multi-X due primarily to the vibration and stability as well as accessories, the Bosch had the lowest vibration feedback of all the oscillating tools I tried even the Festool Vecturo and a dust collection connection to boot. I did like the Hitachi's LED light, really lit up the work area. Also, like the idea of the Automatic mode but the implementation of it appeared to be somewhat jerky, did this affect the handling or vibration? Thanks for the review

      +UGAFan Thanks! I know a lot of people complain about the pin on any of these, but honestly I never hear of people dropping them in the mud, truck, etc.....I agree that more parts = more chance to loose things, but sometimes tool-free/no-pin seems like a lot of hype to me. I have not tried the Bosch units, but I have heard good things about them. For me, less vibrations = better.....also, less swing arc = less broken teeth. I have used other popular units & after 2 min the $15 blade is ruined & others (like this or the FEIN) hold up well. For finish work/punchout lists, a multitool works great --- but no one uses one all day everyday ;) As far as the auto mode.....it was hard to show in frame at an angle that the camera could see. Without staging that, it was much easier to use & control.

    Additionally, this device can rotate its tool/blade by 30 degree increments in a 360 degree arc so that should help alleviate clearance issues.

    what size air compresser would you recommend for a impact wrench and impact rachets

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dominic Valentine Minimum 30-gallon 2-stage.....you can get by on less, but you will wait a long time for it to constantly "air up" as the pressure drops.

    1) Can this tool accept non Metabo/Hitachi brand accessory attachments (Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Dremel, etc.), or does it only accept Metabo/Hitachi accessory attachments?
    2) Can one use the newer 18v/36v batteries with this tool?
    Thank for the informative video.

      1) Yes, because other companies' blades now come with a "universal" hole-pattern. But it won't accept proprietary blades without an adapter.
      2) Yes.
