It just shows how one person dream can make a huge difference in the world. Jim was a true hero. He left behind a wonderful legacy that we can all learn from. One person can make a difference.
On another note, I know people wait to say anything until the person is gone but hats off to you Allison. Jeremy and the rest of staff. You do an awesome job protecting these primates!
Such a heart-warming and forthright tribute, Dr. Cronin. I would imagine your husband would be immensely proud that you still walk the path, he chose with you.
Jim was an amazing man. I learnt so much from watching the earlier episodes of Monkey Life. I have continued to watch and luckily visited Monkey world on a number of occasions. I will continue to support your amazing work with primates. Thank you Alison & all your staff for the good work you do.
I just started watching after Monkey World came up as a suggestion, but it was a few videos after Jim had passed. I went back and binge watched from the very first video up to season 10. You can see how much he loved doing, rescuing and caring for his "kiddos" and the joy he had in the wins that made rescuing so dear to him. I absolutely love watching your videos! I would love to be able to one day visit to see in person the love and care in the sanctuary that Jim so lovingly created to have a safe place for the injured, rescued and removed to go to. I'm so sorry for your loss because I know it left a big hole right in the middle of everything you're trying to do at the sanctuary. God Bless you and your lovely staff members.
Jim will never be forgotten for the work he put into giving all monkeys if all types a second chance of living a happy comfortable life in a place of safety and happiness again.Rest in peace jim .your wife Alison is continuing the work yiu started together and you will never be forgotten for the work you put in saving all monkeys of all types. Rest in peace godbless you amen. 💙🦍🐒🐒🦍🦍🌷💙✌.
My love and prayers are with you. God bless you honey for your love and hard work. The animals are blessed to have you. I adore all of the animal rescuers and programs to help them and to teach the world that they are not pets and deserve respect as us as humans do as well. God created us all to teach each other that all life is a precious gift from God and the human animal as the primates and all others all deserve love, honour and respect and shows like yours try’s hard to promote this message. Thank you for all you do. God Bless You and your mission. ❤
What an amazing man Jim was. He will never be forgotten. I support the Jim cronin memorial fund and donate every month in the hope that primates will be saved all over the world. I hope Jim and Charlie are safe and happy together in heaven and I'm sure Jim will be looking after Paddy, Sally and all the other primates that have left our world to join his world. God bless Jim and all of the parks departed animals. Rest in peace xxxxx

Thankyou to Jim, Alison, Jeremy and the team for the wonderful work they do. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the summer 😀

I also can’t believe it’s been 14 years life is really so short. Please you must up your game I remember all your tv series but now I never hear or see anything from you. Push yourselves to the front with more regular videos. More Facebook posts social media is where you get your funding. Look at Canon Hall Farm and the hoof GP Pages. You need more publicity on Facebook and you tube to maintain and fulfill Jim’s dream. Alison you look uncomfortable on camera something you took in your stride before Jim died you lost your soul mate your spark but to fulfill his dream get your confidence back
I really dont know who to ask about the cruel annimal abuse thats going on in Vietnam and othet Asian cities.those macacqu babies are really so mistreated by humans, they usually kill the mother and then take the NEWBORN baby monkey. Some of those babies are horribly mistreated and abused.and apparantly if something goes wrong with the baby monkey 99% of the times they dont take them to a vet to be looked at get treatment. Some of those babies are being drugged, starved, get bathed in cold water just splashing over their little bodies. It drives me to tears and I can easily do those people bodily harm if I can lay my hands on them. I stay in South Africa on a farm in the Bushveld and here we have vervet monkeys and baboons, and some of the male baboons is massive.we dont interfere with them, although they do some damage to the mealies and fruit trees. I would just like to know how it is possible for those "human" mothers or fathers to do this. They kill the mother monky, some babies even got a still wet umbilical cord. It breaks my heart to watch those little faces.and then the worst part is after that baby is too big to be handled they just go and dump him/her with any monkey troop in the bush. They get bitten and really the orher monkeys give them a hard time. Who can help those baby monkeys. Theres two types of the macqas, one lot got long tails and some got short piggy like tails.
@@hesterkriek7991 I think it's part of the appeal, the fact that the baby macaques, in particular, look so much like humans. You can report to youtube any videos which show abuse, and whole channels, if necessary. You can also then report to smacc, which is a coalition of all the animal welfare movements, to stop social media from giving a place to showcase abuse. It will seem that nothing happens, but it is a slow drip, drip, drip effect, and it does help.
Dear Dr Cronin, could you please upload a video I can share with a person who is thinking of getting a "cute" baby monkey as they are lonely due to isolation? Just saying what you always say when you rescue yet another one, straight to the camera. That would be very helpful! x

He was an incredibly brilliant man. He had such a big heart. He won't be forgotten any time soon
I made certain to come and see Jim's memorial when I came to Monkey World last year. I found it very moving.
And Monkey World is just wonderful.
It all BEGINS WITH EDUCATION
If anyone doubts that God does give the world gifts, they only need to look at Jim's and your story for the proof. 💜
but why take Jim away?
And also I would like to say to you and all the Staff at Monkey World for the manner you go about saving those animals. Thumbs up for you all.
So sad why the best people are taken too soon just when there doing great work like Jim did
Very sad! I saw his memorial in Vietnam where Jim created the primate rescue center in the Cat Tien National park.

RIP CHARLIE AND JIM 💗💗
Jim was truly one of the best who was passionate about monkeys! I share your passion, and I do complain about monkeys being exploited for profits!
God be with you. I'm sure it was very hard losing such a dear person, and I pray that many will be touched and donate generously.

I'm surprised that owning primates is legal in the UK.
Shocking, isn't it?
It is limited to two or three species I think.
