461 is actually a great saw but they like a little more blowdown than a 372. They’re pretty finicky on porting unlike a 372. Tight case, big transfers, can’t widen the exhaust because of the piston pin. A few good reasons why they’re picky on what you do to them

Yep, same here. Stihl doesn't impress me often. Just the sound of a stihl exuahst tone sounds like a bag of fkn tin cans rattling around inside muffler. Always stingy oilers, and other weird sht.

learned something new today i never even heard of water oak, thanks for the little lesson there, i have always loved stihl as thats what my dad used so kinda hits home for me. cant knock a good running saw regardless of the brand
Like already mentioned.. You need to run a hot 461.. They’re very impressive saws. Be hard pressed to find a Husq in the 70cc class that would outrun one. I’m a Husqvarna guy and I’ll admit it lol 😆
Any interest in doing some repairs on my Makita 9000 and mods? Needs the ignition out of the 9010 (coil and flywheel - have parts) and a carb rebuild. I imagine it would pull well.
No doubt on the hard wood. Especially when cutting a knot or where a big branch is. That wood I have here at the house now, if you hit it with a sharp are it just bounces off lol. It's crazy hard wood. Nice build man, I believe the owner will be thoroughly excited 👍🏻

Guys actually have been asking for the saws he’s had of theirs for over a year, some have actually commented on his TH-cam channel that he hasn’t posted a video on in 3-4 months. A lot of these comments have been deleted so he’s able to watch his channel and remove unwanted comments. He also isn’t answering his phone one guy went to his house to get his saws and John called the cops on him. I do believe he’s upright and well enough just used the sickness as an excuse. You have proof he’s on his death bed?
@christopherlehman4045 Thanks for the backup their Chris. I purposefully blocked him over a year ago. Didn't know about any illness. But he was a shitheal long before he got sick. I've just seen the way he makes up stuff, says people are scheming against him because he is doing well (total bs), and flat out lies about other porters and TH-camrs to get drama pumped up and the guys who follow him like little puppies don't take a second to ask if it is truthful. He posts hate videos on people at 4am and then takes them down before they wake up. Total BS. He has done it to all sorts of folks, me included. Yeah...he's a douche. He is the one guy in this little chainsaw world of ours that I have a real problem with. He is a total tool.

The 461 was the best saw they made for its category! Don’t get me wrong the 462 is good but idk just personal preference
