the show's been airing for years with 4 concerns a week (now with 3) and there's prize money, of course there'd be fake ones from time to time, and people who come just for fame and so on... well we can't tell the real from the fake , i juste think that this one sounds too fake ^^

If this is what she does when they're just going out, what about when they're married? This is not the action of a woman who loves him. In these waters, the guy would have stepped up and said, I dare you to hit me again, took two steps towards her and told her, who told you you can hit me. The girl smirks, because she knows that he's shallow and doesn't love her while everyone think that she's the one wrong, when he is. We've saw through the security camera that she doesn't hit hard at all. When she slaps him she's putting her hand on his face and pushed, it may not sound like this, but it's really different from being slapped. Anyways, this is her personality, she even hit her ex boyfriends so I just think she's looking for a guy who loves her personality. She would dump him anyday, and I think she's right. She knows that he doesn't love her and stays with her for her face, and I'm sure she's upset and have been with a lot of guys like him, that's why she smirks. It's not that she thinks she can do anything because she has a pretty face, but because she want to test how far her actual boyfriend's stupidity and shallow personality can go. I think she truly hate him, and because he doesn't love her, she pretends that at least he can stand her personality, if he doesn't, then for her there's no reason for keep staying in such an hypocritical relationship. She clearly wants a boyfriend who loves her peersonality, not one who accepts it, and if he can't love, he must at least accept it since he's staying with her just for her looks.

I was considered very pretty when I was younger. I used to hit men like this because I thought they're big and strong and it didn't really hurt them. (I never hit on the head or face though.) The boys, and later men, never complained because they wanted to appear tough. When I got my first real boyfriend, he told me how much it hurt AND I STOPPED. Not only with him but with everyone else too. So I think she is like this too but she's very selfish and doesn't want to admit it now that she knows because she doesn't want to give up even a smidge of power in the relationship. She thinks if she gives in on this, she'll have to give in on other things. She's just mean and spoiled and wants to keep the upper hand and control.
I sense psychopathic tendencies from the first girl. At first I wasn't taking it seriously but as the talk went on towards the end, I see her failing to empathise with her boyfriend's feelings even after him crying out about the problem. You don't act dumbfounded and laugh like that when your loved ones are in pain. And saying she would leave if he ever asks to change her way seems not normal to me. She's manipulating and using him for her amusement and nothing more. If I was the guy I would seriously rethink this relationship.

OMG I have so much to say to the guy who lost weight and the hosts aren't mentioning any of it. For the first time in this show I completely understand why he's shutting everyone from his life and disagree with the one who brought the problem. He's lonely and hurt of people even those close to him. The mother is right for worrying about him but she should help him with dieting instead of offering bad food for him. She should know what is healthy and okay for him and help him in family gatherings not to reach to bad food. Seriously, the family is what caused all his scars and pain. I really wish I was there with them to comfort him and offer a solution. He needs someone to understand him and help him cope with life in a new perspective.
Like I really thought that I was the only one who realized it, there are some serious family issues that they need to work out and I mean even the mother herself wasn't supportive of him when he was obese and trying to lose weight.

I also think the mother should try harder to help him and understand him. He's emotionally and mentally scarred from all the bad comments and side eyes etc he received when he was overweight and that's why he's shutting everyone out. He's also scared of re-gaining weight and becoming fat again. What he needs is not this tv show but for his mom and his family to support him and give him confidence. He also needs help to accept his new physical self not ppl telling him to go out or be confident. I honestly feel bad for him.

sally a Please understand that in an abusive relationship, sometimes it's very hard for the victim to get out. There are many reasons as to why some people would stay. Some reasons might be: 1.) they are actually attached to the person/abuser (it's sad but it happens, like the guy on the show. He stays because he loves the girl). 2.) being with the other person might provide some sort of stability, whether it's financially, socially (like a reputation of having a pretty gf, or simply just being "taken") or whatever it is 3.) they are afraid to get out of the relationship because of consequences, like the abuser might come after them.. All in all, there are many reasons as to why he might stay and please don't be ignorant about it
sally a stop victim blaming. you have to understand that in most cases, it's nearly impossible for the victim to get away from the abuser. there are many factors that come into play.

1st concern both of them are at fault. He himself said that he like her because of her looks. So, he would not put up to her violence if she was not pretty. He just want to show off that he has pretty girlfriend. Coz if he really loved her he would have tried to be bit stern with her and helped her understand she can't hit anyone she likes. The girl is also just dating him because she knows he'll bear anything for her because he needs her by his side as pretty accessory. She also said there was no case of her old boyfriends getting mad at her for her behaviour. That means she knows what type of guys will bear her behaviour and don't date dangerous ones. I think they both are twisted people.

I can see from the comments that people obviously don't like the abusive girl at all. The thing is, most Koreans see women as weaker than men, even the women themselves accept that. So of course many Koreans will see the man as being weak, especially for staying with that girl. The hosts still saw it as a concern and the guests got in the show. It takes time, but people are changing.

This show really needs a professional, like a psychologist, because the hosts don't seem to understand that some of these people are mentally ill. (Like the first concern is abuse/aggression. The second is body dysmorphia/eating disorder. and etc.) Even if the hosts diagnose some of these people on the show, it might not be 100% accurate since they are not certified psychologists.

The second concern made me cry especially near the end. You could see both sides were suffering, they saw the factors that they had to change and both were apologetic. The son really was crying, realizing what he'd done but the mom saw what he was suffering through. And they both wanted to change, it was really beautiful. I'm so glad they came to the show to clear it all out
I feel sad for The guy who lost weight and very upset how that concern was handled by the hosts! He is suffering from emotional scars and shame caused not only by society but by the people closest to him. The mother is getting him on national TV to talk about his shortcomings when she says he lacks confidence! At the end when he said I am sorry I only cause suffering I cried for him, really that shame and guilt.. I can see how hurt, lonely he is and may he finds a way to relief and happiness with people who really love and care for him.

Not sure why all the hosts kept saying the last case was not a problem... I think discrimination is a huge problem that definitely needs to be addressed. It's not just this guy who's suffering, people are discriminated against because of so many things; race, religion, disability, financial wellbeing, looks, etc. I think judging and treating people differently because of this is absolutely unacceptable, and there are sooooo many ignorant people in the world who do this. Its a big problem that needs to be talked about for people to be enlightened. the first problem: this has nothing to do about "pride". this is physical abuse and it can really mess up a someone mental state regardless of gender. see if this was the other way around, the guy would be arrested immediately for assault. but she's just laughing like nothings wrong. i hope he broke up with her because it's such a toxic relationship

I can relate so much to that last guy. Same thing happened to me on a Korean Penpal app. The people there were very friendly, considering I had dark skin. Though, I noticed the profiles were very biased, and the people who contacted me had this in their profiles, "Looking for dark-skinned women!" or "I want to fall in love with a beautiful african girl. ." I felt slightly uncomfortable when people began to ask for pictures of my body, because of my skin color. I felt like a total alien, and deleted the app a few days after I had been messaged by people who only complimented my skin tone. I would have posted a picture of myself holding something cute, and they would only talk about how pretty my skin was. I'm like, ("Please care about the product and not just my skin! Stop sending compliments and asking for pictures. . 😭😭😭 I am sorry, but I have to delete such an app. .") I wonder if things are different today? 😇
The girl in the first concern is so /used/ to getting away with things because of her looks. She /knows/ how much her boyfriend loves her, and she really takes it for granted-- because who hasn't showered her with so much love? It seems to be normal for her. She doesn't think he'll leave her, and she doesn't want to chase after him because to her, it's not worth it. She'll be able to find someone else who loves her. She also fails to realize that there's a time and place for everything. Even in the boyfriend liked her hitting him, even if they mutually had that kind of joking relationship, there are certain lines you can't cross: you can't go hitting him whenever you want, especially in the workplace when he's your boss, and you certainly can't take advantage of your position as his girlfriend. Just as you wouldn't do some things at a funeral or wedding, or act all slob-slovenly at someone else's house: there's a time and place everything. I hope she realizes that. Like one of the guests said, "your beauty won't last forever".

He sincerely loves her and she just smirks when people ask her serious questions about the relationship. The audience laughing really shows exactly how she’s gotten away with her behavior for this long....because she’s pretty. She obviously uses her looks to get away with the fact that she thinks bullying people is funny. It’s not hard to see that she doesn’t love him. She just wants to play “pranks”. He’s hoping he can change her but she’s not going to. If anyone is in a similar situation, just know that’s it’s better to be single than to be abused & embarrassed on a regular basis. Don’t be in a relationship with someone that you have wanted to change from the beginning because he reality is that most of the time they won’t. And physical appearance really isn’t everything. If it was a man who did this to a woman this concern wouldn’t have been treated the same.

i understand the 2 concern well. i use to be the same even after i loss weight i still dont feel good im so scared that i will gain weight again and other people will treat me like a trash again i understand alot but i start to learn how to love myself and dont care to much what other people think i hope he can love himself more.

Its amazing that this show is humanizing problems like narcissism, abuse, the stigma of obesity and race. We need to see and relate to such problems especially in developing nations such as South Korea and India where the conservative mindset of the people may lead to a casteist and xenophobic mentality. Lots of love from India, from a person who respects the Korean culture and people, wishes to speak that adorable language fluently soon.

I hate hearing ppl discriminating others with black skin everywhere, even though it's better in America, we still have ppl seeing black ppl walk down the street and stay far from them. Like my parents, they say black ppl are not smart, don't have manners, don't live well, are thugs, and that hurts me so much to see and hear that. We live in a multicolored world, and we need to accept differences. I hate ppl for doing that, they are human too, put yourself in their shoes. I know plenty of ppl that have colored skin, and some that are really smart, really nice and all that good stuff. Let's stop discriminating.

When she slaps him she's putting her hand on his face and pushed, it may not sound like this, but it's really different from being slapped. I was considered very pretty when I was younger. I used to hit men like this because I thought they're big and strong and it didn't really hurt them. (I never hit on the head or face though.) The boys, and later men, never complained because they wanted to appear tough. When I got my first real boyfriend, he told me how much it hurt AND I STOPPED. Not only with him but with everyone else too. So I think she is like this too but she's very selfish and doesn't want to admit it now that she knows because she doesn't want to give up even a smidge of power in the relationship. She thinks if she gives in on this, she'll have to give in on other things. She's just mean and spoiled and wants to keep the upper hand and control.

I sense psychopathic tendencies from the first girl. At first I wasn't taking it seriously but as the talk went on towards the end, I see her failing to empathise with her boyfriend's feelings even after him crying out about the problem. You don't act dumbfounded and laugh like that when your loved ones are in pain. And saying she would leave if he ever asks to change her way seems not normal to me. She's manipulating and using him for her amusement and nothing more. If I was the guy I would seriously rethink this relationship.

OMG I have so much to say to the guy who lost weight and the hosts aren't mentioning any of it. For the first time in this show I completely understand why he's shutting everyone from his life and disagree with the one who brought the problem. He's lonely and hurt of people even those close to him. The mother is right for worrying about him but she should help him with dieting instead of offering bad food for him. She should know what is healthy and okay for him and help him in family gatherings not to reach to bad food. Seriously, the family is what caused all his scars and pain.
I really wish I was there with them to comfort him and offer a solution. He needs someone to understand him and help him cope with life in a new perspective.

Please understand that in an abusive relationship, sometimes it's very hard for the victim to get out. There are many reasons as to why some people would stay. Some reasons might be: 1.) they are actually attached to the person/abuser (it's sad but it happens, like the guy on the show. He stays because he loves the girl).
2.) being with the other person might provide some sort of stability, whether it's financially, socially (like a reputation of having a pretty gf, or simply just being "taken") or whatever it is
3.) they are afraid to get out of the relationship because of consequences, like the abuser might come after them..
All in all, there are many reasons as to why he might stay and please don't be ignorant about it

I can see from the comments that people obviously don't like the abusive girl at all. The thing is, most Koreans see women as weaker than men, even the women themselves accept that. So of course many Koreans will see the man as being weak, especially for staying with that girl. The hosts still saw it as a concern and the guests got in the show. The second concern made me cry especially near the end. You could see both sides were suffering, they saw the factors that they had to change and both were apologetic. The son really was crying, realizing what he'd done but the mom saw what he was suffering through. And they both wanted to change, it was really beautiful. I'm so glad they came to the show to clear it all out
I feel sad for The guy who lost weight and very upset how that concern was handled by the hosts! He is suffering from emotional scars and shame caused not only by society but by the people closest to him. The mother is getting him on national TV to talk about his shortcomings when she says he lacks confidence! At the end when he said I am sorry I only cause suffering I cried for him, really that shame and guilt.. I can see how hurt, lonely he is and may he finds a way to relief and happiness with people who really love and care for him.

Not sure why all the hosts kept saying the last case was not a problem... I think discrimination is a huge problem that definitely needs to be addressed. It's not just this guy who's suffering, people are discriminated against because of so many things; race, religion, disability, financial wellbeing, looks, etc. I think judging and treating people differently because of this is absolutely unacceptable, and there are sooooo many ignorant people in the world who do this. Its a big problem that needs to be talked about for people to be enlightened.

I can relate so much to that last guy. Same thing happened to me on a Korean Penpal app.
The people there were very friendly, considering I had dark skin. Though, I noticed the profiles were very biased, and the people who contacted me had this in their profiles,
"Looking for dark-skinned women!" or "I want to fall in love with a beautiful african girl. ."
I felt slightly uncomfortable when people began to ask for pictures of my body, because of my skin color. I felt like a total alien, and deleted the app a few days after I had been messaged by people who only complimented my skin tone. I would have posted a picture of myself holding something cute, and they would only talk about how pretty my skin was. I'm like,
("Please care about the product and not just my skin! Stop sending compliments and asking for pictures. . 😭😭😭 I am sorry, but I have to delete such an app. .")

The girl in the first concern is so /used/ to getting away with things because of her looks. She /knows/ how much her boyfriend loves her, and she really takes it for granted-- because who hasn't showered her with so much love? It seems to be normal for her. She doesn't think he'll leave her, and she doesn't want to chase after him because to her, it's not worth it. She'll be able to find someone else who loves her.
She also fails to realize that there's a time and place for everything. Even in the boyfriend liked her hitting him, even if they mutually had that kind of joking relationship, there are certain lines you can't cross: you can't go hitting him whenever you want, especially in the workplace when he's your boss, and you certainly can't take advantage of your position as his girlfriend. Just as you wouldn't do some things at a funeral or wedding, or act all slob-slovenly at someone else's house: there's a time and place everything. I hope she realizes that. Like one of the guests said, "your beauty won't last forever".

We need to see and relate to such problems especially in developing nations such as South Korea and India where the conservative mindset of the people may lead to a casteist and xenophobic mentality. I hate hearing ppl discriminating others with black skin everywhere, even though it's better in America, we still have ppl seeing black ppl walk down the street and stay far from them. Like my parents, they say black ppl are not smart, don't have manners, don't live well, are thugs, and that hurts me so much to see and hear that. We live in a multicolored world, and we need to accept differences. I hate ppl for doing that, they are human too, put yourself in their shoes. I know plenty of ppl that have colored skin, and some that are really smart, really nice and all that good stuff. Let's stop discriminating.
second concern: the son spent his whole life without anyone ever looking at him like a human being and it's clear that he's deeply hurt. he's hurting him mother, but he's doing it by hurting himself. it's a shame he doesn't have hobbies and interests because he's been fixated on looks.
Bigger people and specially guys turn out really great once they shed the weight off. I have seen many cases personally. I hope no one would ever take a persons dreams lightly.
