Great job! Someone told me that the cable is supposed to be aircraft cable.

Really enjoying this series. I'm refurbishing a 99 Coleman. Nowhere near as extensive as yours, but I've rebuilt the interior as well. I'd love to see a more detailed video on your electrical. My original equipment is questionable and I'll probably need to upgrade.

Thank you so much! The 120v electric is wired just like a house. I have a few outlets in a parallel circuit. And then a separate circuit for fridge and microwave outlets. They all run back to a sub panel where they are protected by breakers. If you aren’t too comfortable with wiring I would look up some videos because I didn’t do anything special. Pretty easy once you know where you want outlets and stuff like that. Now if you want to know about my 12v side of everything I can try and explain it.

I’ve had a ‘99 StarCraft pop up for about 20 years now.. I’m doing some much simpler repairs in between camping trips this summer. Most recently I replaced the power converter because it had an internal meltdown (nothing puts you into panic mode faster than the smell of burning wiring). I replaced mine with a WFCO 12 amp power converter.. All those older units are basically fires waiting to happen due to age. I can vouch that mine had overheated on the AC rail and the DC converter battery charger wasn’t working efficiently. I would highly suggest replacing your original unit.. it would be awful to have the camper burn down because of a simple $120 fix. A better 12 volt converter will also be able to handle more modern USB plugs and lighting, and provide modern 3 step charging for your battery.

@@robfl07 I don’t have a battery in the camper. The only power converter I have is at 120 volt to 12 volt transformer.

What about the furnace, and the water heater, and air conditioner?

I don’t have any of that fancy stuff! Plain and simple camping!
