Simply put, exceptional job.
Thank you!
You did a fantastic job.. I have a 72 I won't have to do all the hard work you did. But fun buddy.
Did you have to replace the roof vent ?
@@leopalmer6105 I did not
.. “aaa I’m just going to fix this” love it 😅 I am so intrigued to watch the rest of this project. Thanks for sharing all your hard work
My Shadow Whisper is Fantastic:))
What insulation did you put back in?
@@desarioe I used a foam insulation from Home Depot. It was the 1 inch stuff I think.
@CamG16 in the process of doing mine. Did you PL up and the joist there how did you attached them i see some metal bracket?
@@desarioe I attacked them with screws. Attacked to the side walls.
I was eyeballing the scraps from my last pallet project, and squirrel boards came to mind. I made mine 16"
How did you remove the suppressor to get the cotton pad out?
@@mgrefsrud481 I didn’t remove it
Cam. I'm needing to know the size of the hitch ball for your trailer. I've a similar one 1000 miles away that needs dragging away and need to take the right size ball. Thanks!
For my trailer. It was a 2 inch ball. But you could buy a hitch that has different size balls on it. All in one hitch.
I would seal that whole roof with liquid rubber white color that would stop all leaks
Flex seal tape works great for the center seam that was giving me trouble!
I accidentally put pellgun oil in the barrel because i didnt know i wasnt suppost to. Am i cooked
You will be okay
Supposed to shoot the felt pellets
@@Nalladalla32 when I shot the felt pellets it sounded like a .22 and sounded like a dry fire. So I just push them through. Still works fine.
@@CamG16 Well yeah it's going to sound different because it's felt(air can pass through) but that's literally how they are designed to be used with gamo knowing and supporting this. I do normal cleaning/oiling and then load one of these and shoot it like a normal pellet. It does the same as pushing a cleaning patch but whatever works for you and get the gun clean. P.s. These guns have an IGT powerplant rather than traditional spring so dry firing isn't much of an issue anymore. Gamo actually runs batches of their guns for something like 10,000 dry fire shots for testing.
How’s the stock scope ?
It’s works but made out of cheap materials.
Did you end up finding new pulleys? I'm trying to find some my self and have not had any luck... Thanks
Yes I did. I found some StarCraft pulleys on eBay.
Gamo says the use hoppes?
Not sure what they say but hoppes cleans out the lead residue.
Gotcha… do you notice more accurate shots after cleaning?
@@Tom-jw1pe I have not noticed that. But it’s always good to keep your guns clean.
I am am going to upgrade my axle also on mine.
I would have mounted that box on the inside,or outside for the brakes. It does look good.
I disagree sir
Is the only way to access the rear tail light wiring, by removing all the trim and taking rear the panel off? I just bought a 1998 Camplite and it needs some wiring done. This is my first pop-up camper and I'm very inclined to do this work myself, but not sure where to start. Thanks in advance for any help with this!
Before I redid the whole camper you could just take off the light and pull the wire out. Not quite sure how yours is though. When I redid the whole camper I put in sliding doors on the back wall to get to all the wiring. Good luck with your project! It’s a lot of fun!
@@CamG16 Thanks for the quick reply! I removed the brake lights to see if I could pull most of the wire, but it's got so many connections and connectors, I can't quite figure out what's going on behind that panel. I'll probably be pulling trim and removing the panel to access this area (unless it can be done from the inside). Do you have any pictures of the sliding doors you installed or a link to see what they look like? Thanks again!!
I’ve had a ‘99 StarCraft pop up for about 20 years now.. I’m doing some much simpler repairs in between camping trips this summer. Most recently I replaced the power converter because it had an internal meltdown (nothing puts you into panic mode faster than the smell of burning wiring). I replaced mine with a WFCO 12 amp power converter.. All those older units are basically fires waiting to happen due to age. I can vouch that mine had overheated on the AC rail and the DC converter battery charger wasn’t working efficiently. I would highly suggest replacing your original unit.. it would be awful to have the camper burn down because of a simple $120 fix. A better 12 volt converter will also be able to handle more modern USB plugs and lighting, and provide modern 3 step charging for your battery.
@@robfl07 I don’t have a battery in the camper. The only power converter I have is at 120 volt to 12 volt transformer.
I love the sliding door access panels! I mean, the whole build looks great! I'm redoing a 2000 Viking and have a feeling I'm going to need to redo the floor as nothing is balanced...the door won't stay closed, the frame is pulling away from the base, glad I can take my time since I have very little knowledge in this area. Thanks for these videos!
@@sueb860 no problem! Glad you find the video helpful! If you have any other questions feel free to comment and I’ll try my best to answer them!
Great job
Thank you!
Thanks man🎉
Where did you get the canvas
Got it online. Took a few months to get it.
Did you have to replace The black rubber gasket trim pieces for the roof and if so do you remember where you ordered it from I am having trouble finding it.
I did not. Mine was still in good condition.
Awesome some build I have a StarCraft pop up but the lift up cables are broken and I am struggling
It is not fun putting new cables in. Let me tell ya. Watch all my videos because I’ve had to redo the lines a few times and finally got it right.
So is the stock plastic or synthetic?
I would say synthetic. But not sure. Heavy duty whatever it is.
What kind of metal is that?
It’s 26 gauge sheet metal.
You where right it was a pain scrapping the styrofoam off the roof we just did ours Sunday.
It’s definitely worth the work it takes!!!
Could you tell me where you got the round cable pulleys I need to replace all my pulleys in my 1974 starcraft popup thanks.
I got them on eBay. Just look up 1974 StarCraft pop pulleys. 👍
Thank you
Awesome job from beginning to end
Thank you! Another video coming soon!
What about the furnace, and the water heater, and air conditioner?
I don’t have any of that fancy stuff! Plain and simple camping!
Where did you find all yhe new exterior plastic covers for all yhe hook ups?
On Amazon! They have good prices too!
I have it and the answer is YES, IT LEAKS IN THE CORNERS
Yeah it does but it doesn’t bother me much.
angel omg ❤❤❤
Have a 1970 25hp evinrude . Runs great
What a great job you have done to your camper!
Thank you!
Ooh my dog got sick eating corn it takes forever for us to digest it. But this dog seems to love it, that’s good.
She has never had issues eating it! And we also don’t let her eat a lot of it. We are definitely careful!
@@CamG16 seems like it🥰✌🏾
Everyone love corn 🌽 so understand 🤣 i
That dog must love corn 😳 first btw :)
My fathers 1960 evinrude runs fantastic like this
It would be rude to think otherwise
Why not?I have two nineteen fifty six johnson's that run just great
I dont believe in 2088 a motor bulit today will still be on the water.
Without all the emissions & lean burn economy tuning, old motors often ran really well.
I have a 20hp 2 stroke Johnson that runs fantastic. Unfortunately California is fazing out strokes and it's becoming harder to find a lake that will still allow 2 strokes.
That is very unfortunate!
Of course
As fast as a new trolling motor these days.😊
I will definitely have to get a new trolling motor to see which is faster!
My dad taught me on a 75' Johnson. Had electric choke
Nice! What horsepower was it?
A young boy two hands on the wheel.... Can't replace the way it made me feel...
Yes I have one
Aren’t they amazing!?
Properly maintained indeed has many more left in her too 🎉
