Also another precious metal jewelry to look for in bulk jewelry is Platinum. Jewelry is marked with the words “Platinum," “PLAT," or “PT” followed or preceded by the numbers “950” or “999" to show authenticity. The numbers refer to the purity of the platinum, with “999” as the most pure. Jewelry marked only “Platinum”, “Pt” or “Plat” contains at least 95-percent pure platinum. A 'house' shaped mark is used for platinum items, and the number inside the shape is called the millesimal stamp number, which tells you the actual precious metal content or the purity of the precious metal.

I could't see the blue glass bird real well but is the beak intact ? Nice find if it isn' broke !WOw good tip from catherine below didnt know the platinum marks !! Some people are so smart !

I want to let you know I got all my whatnot items I purchased and love all of them Thank You. I love old costume jewelry. Any very sparkly jewelry that is old such as necklaces, clip on sparkly earrings and bracelets jewelry any that have sparkly gems and colorful with marking of Sherman and 925 for silver, is very good to buy and resale. Just thought you should know when you buy bulk like you did at the flea market. If it doesn't have the markings then not Sherman. If people know it is Sherman then they will sell at high prices. So when looking at bulk always check to see if there is Sherman stuff with it. Very expensive costume jewelry, which a lot of people don't know what they have. and Platinum jewelry is worth more than Silver. Look for the marking on that jewelry
