Out of all the videos and recombinations I’ve seen, this one was the best! I watched and followed your instructions and it was incredibly easy and worked like a charm. I’ve have two kayaks up there several times and haven’t had any problems. Thanks for making and easy video to follow that didn’t waist my time.
Interesting. Wonder if you can get replacement rubber parts for the seals that go under the rack rails? I would, and I'd silicone around the wing nuts, then Loctite the bolt threads. The headliner's likely waterproof, so you may not see any water ingress until it's doing damage. Good job testing beforehand though. Most people wouldn't. I wonder why any of the Caravans ever came without a roof rack in the first place. Seems like everyone would want it.
Good questions! Replaced the rubber well nuts for the petal nuts which feel strongest of the 3. It’s on solid. It’s been pouring rain for days now and no water inside the van so that’s a good sign!
@@JeffreyHauser-h5q well nuts is probably the best option. I believe I ordered the wrong kind of well nut. At :53 into my video, that’s what I ordered on eBay. But it says motorcycle well nut ?? It was very weak. So I switched to the pedal nuts and they were nice and strong. If you get the correct well nuts, that’s the way to go because I believe they are water tight. And strong. I didn’t realize I got the wrong ones. Good luck on your install

Nice job. Any adhesive or silicone needed?Does it feel sturdy and strongly attached? Have you been through the car wash?

Great video. Cant quite accurately make out distance on back placement. Is it 8 inches ?
I just double checked and it's just under 8". 7 7/8" to be exact. Probably doesn't have to be exactly 7 7/8. It should be fine at 8" as well.
@@Mustnged Thank very much.
Thanks for the video, but did you take off the ceiling?
No. I didn’t do anything to the inner lining/ceiling. It was all done from the top
Is it possible to have a picture of the interior of the car? I am talking about the ceiling. Thank you
Thanks for sharing. How much did the roof rack cost you?
$30 from a pic a part
@@Mustngedwow! That’s awesome
I need to find one at a local junk yard. I’m sure that must be many caravans there
My mechanic recommended the well nuts. Is there any reason to switch to pedal nuts?

Bonjour,
J'ai un rack de Kia Sedona, pensez-vous qu'il pourrait faire sur mon Dodge Grand Caravan ?
Merci
