Shawshank Redemption is one of two greatest movies ever! Right there with Green Mile! How do we get you two and Tom Hanks on a Pod together?!

Wow - looking forward to Part 2! BTW --- Consider moving chairs closer together for a better watching angle to be more forward-facing & allow closer up filming, showing expressions & reactions like done on panel TV shows.

I find his comparison between celebrities and prison inmates in terms of "cancel culture" (ie. where celebrities think they are victims of their own behavior rather than accountable for it) to be incongruent. We don't applaud inmates. Not until they're reformed themselves anyway. A celebrity status is supposed to go to someone who is deemed praiseworthy. Imagine if you did praise a criminal before they've initiated any reform, praise instead of punishment, what are you telling them? He's trying to fit a preferable conclusion into a victim mentality. However, for what it's worth, I think his program of encouraging inmates to become somebody is a terrific idea. Sure would be nice if the prisons did this stuff.
I think that celebrities are expected to have answers to the world's problems, and they don't deserve that pressure. Imagine if reporters asked you about Gaza, and your answer at that moment would be printed with your name next to it.
EDIT: Thank you, Tim Robbins, for declining to put your kids on ritalin. Brilliant stuff at the end of this episode part.

Not only is "celebrity" not for those deemed praiseworthy, the term's used specifically despite being famous, newsworthy, drawing public interest, someone does lack anything praiseworthy to be identified as like actor, singer, athlete. Plus you're proving his point - prior to arrest, prisoners were deemed just people with conviction being the ultimate cancel culture

@@HA.HA.HA.. "Celebrity means they didn't do anything praiseworthy." Good point. 👍🏼
You spent a lot of time on that.

Two bouncers watch Tim Robbin and Susan Sarandon walk up to them, and only one of them recognizes Robbins from "game 6"?! Were these bouncers 12 years old? I'd think either or both would be easy to recognize by their faces.

Bravo ! Another superb interview. Your listening skills paired with a kind humorous touch puts your guests in a talkative comfort zone. Reminds me of Cavett or Charlie Rose. Mr. Robbins is a treasure...as is his wife. Love em both. Unfortunately the media age puts public figures on immediate trial for any juicy utterance. Just so dam glad my big mouth isn't mic'd up everytime I leave my house...yikes. Maybe a little less judgement, a little less envy and a smidgen more forgiveness for these public figures who are just effin people ? Like we would for any member of our family. good job Fitzdawggg !!
