    What if leaves are eaten by insects ......

    • @GardenUp
      @GardenUp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Isolate the plant and physically inspect for insect feeding on leaves.. and spray neem oil as a precaution that will make leaves unpalatable for the insect/s.

      @@GardenUp Well a butterfly named common mormon and lime swallowtail lay there eggs on it, so if ur putting pesticide u are killing that butterfly and making plant poisnous to honey bees. So my Advice would be weird but yeh 😉 don't mind caterpillar on plant, it will either become a butterfly or moth but in some way help u.

    What kind of potting mix/soil is best for propagating the cuttings? I have a tree that is over 8 feet tall now that has been growing in a pot indoors. I’ve been repotting it again and again over the years. But it’s past the point of a repotting job now. I live in northern Wisconsin, so planting it outdoors is definitely not a possibility.

    Nice video Ekta. My curry leaf plant is such a slow grower. I think it is a side effect of growing it in pots rather than in the straight ground. Any tips to make it grow faster apart from regular fertilizer, light and water? (which I already do).

    • @Sharanyu_
      @Sharanyu_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! they grow slow in pot. Not much thing work except regular fertilization. It is in its nature to grow at that pace. I will suggest you to plant 2-3 plants, single plant doesn't full fill the requirement. You can prune to make it bushier, which will give more leaves in future(Do no prune during winter because it goes into dormancy during winter). You can also watch its plant care video on my channel.

    Good tips.
    Also diluted soap solution works to prevent/ cure all the issues. I prefer that over Neem oil as it can be easily washed off before consumption.
    The other thing I have also done so the plant doesn't get leggy , I hard prune it 12- 16 inches from soil. This helps for the trunk to get thicker as months go by. You should try that with your mother plant.
