Right. When people don’t comment, it makes growing ten times harder. Getting 500-1000 views with no comments and few likes is terrible. Even though people might watch even 30 seconds of your video, not evening leaving a emoji is sad. People gotta engaged, even if they hate the video. Tell me my video sucks, rather than quick click off the video. If not , that’s cool. But any engagement would help.

Don't take this negatively because I really enjoyed what you said in your video. You started out four WEEKS ago. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. You should focus on enjoying the process and sharing things you're excited about instead, and also on creating a community (just like you said!). Someone mentioned you looking above the camera, and honestly it's a bit disturbing. You lack a bit of "casualness" too. Just like one of your subscribers told you, try to show more personality, more relatability. But it would already be a game changer if you started looking directly into the camera. I am 11 months into actively focusing on 1 TH-cam channel and I haven't even reached 400 subscribers and my channel is all about me documenting my countryside life. but one thing I know for sure is: MY FAITH IS SOOOOO STRONG because I see quality in me....I see it. I never doubted it.
I am in South Africa and at 41 subscribers after a month of posting but I just subscribed to your channel, I know everyone of us make a difference. All the best sis
The thing about monetizing on TH-cam is to never depend on Adsense. The real way to earn money is selling a product, service or affiliate links. You have to get millions and millions of views to truly be making BANK.
I started a faceless channel 2 weeks ago. Today I have only around 50 subscribers, it’s harder than I thought. But it is nice to know that someone out there liked your videos. And those give you the motivation to keep going. Thanks for this video and your sincerity 😊
I started my channel as a hobby, I didn't start it in hopes of getting monetized. I am monetized now though. I think the key to a successful channel is to be yourself. Don't chase the money. Find a niche. I share my frugal lifestyle, but also just everyday stuff. More like a video diary. As in anything else in life, our channels will ebb and flow. Monetization is great, but people won't tell you how much work goes into maintaining it all. I work a full time job also. Again, for me, my channel is a hobby. I have made some nice connections with my viewers and subscribers. That is the benefit that I enjoy that most! Best of luck to you Jasmin. Keep being you and you will grow :)
Jasmin, There's a good chance i'll never get monetized. I enjoy helping people, and putting out content of value regardless of how many watch my videos. You have the whole package, and will be monetized before you know it. Good luck from Canada :)
I started this channel back when you could get monetized just for uploading a video. I earned like $80 bucks, but I never received it before TH-cam changed its policy in regard to who qualifies for monetization, and I got demonetized for having less than 1000 subscribers and less than 4000 hours of watch time over the course of 12 months. I continued trying for years after that, but eventually it became clear that I just didn't have what it took, and I gave up.
Just enjoy the process and be yourself ❤ and you will really start to enjoy it and find it easy. Whenever you have interesting things to share, grab your camera and its showtime ✨️ Wish you all the best on your journey and hope you achieve all your goals and dreams from this journey ✨️
We're all on this YT journey...im still on mine as well!! There's an audience for everybody, just make good videos, even if you don't have a niche!! I'm listening to you speak about making videos to please the algorithm and i think this is a mistake!! Make the videos you want to make. If you niche down for anything, when you do that, it'll be hard for you to truly make those videos that you really want to make!! I basically make lifestyle videos which is one of the hardest types of "Niches" to be in, but it gives you way more control over your content even if your growth is slow. In my experience, even if your videos don't get a ton of views, your subscribers will stay with you and your channel won't be transactional... (sorry for the long post) good luck on your journey 🫡
Some niches are easier than others. I really thought I would get monetized quickly because of my strong faith...but sadly it hasn't happened yet. I am just gonna keep pushing on and building my video library! Luck to the both of us!❤🎉
@@yogadaily9864 I follow another Christian TH-camr and she got monetized in 2 months. I won't say it doesn't ever happen. Cause it does. Is it common? No.
Same case with, I started 3 weeks ago and have posted less than 20 videos with 43 subs and I'm super excited though opened the channel in 2018. Never give up, we will get there
I've just started a youtube channel, sharing my knowledge of business, investing and building wealth. I got 5 videos filmed in one day and have 1 scheduled a week to go live. I work full time and have 2 small kids so just trying to work with the time I have 😊
unsolicited advice 1. make better thumbnails and titles 2. dont listen to advice in these comments saying dont focus on money - if u wanna get monetized, treat it as a business from the start 3. focus on becoming a better storyteller - aka learn how to make what you're saying 10x more interesting than it actually is 4. dont listen to people who say it needs to take a long time .. it only takes a long time if youre spending a long time doing the wrong things. it took me like 4 videos i think 5. figure out a better way to monetize right now not later
Saw your channel and subscribed! I am a new TH-camr as well and my past 2 videos blew up, but then the video I posted today only got 8 views. I’m realizing that TH-cam is a long game that you have to play. I also did notice that sometimes it takes some time for TH-cam to categorize your video and really take off. So right now my goal is consistency and to reach 100 videos. I’m excited to watch your journey and see how things change in the next few months!!
4:30 do livestreams, it's ten times better than comments and you get to know your subs and channel members. It took me around a bit under three years to get monetized (2019-2022) that was a different time, but same principles apply.
but dont be discouraged just keep going as long as u want ive been making youtube for longer then my friend and she had almost 10k and have more then 200k views on her videos which i dont understand why she doesnt apply for monetization she thinks she does deserve it, but i say this too everyone starting a small channel u do deserve it if ur doing something u love or wanna do then do it 😊 also youtube puts ads on channels that are under 1k or havent even applied for monetization its seriously dumb but i hope you channel goes well
I think only about 6 percent of TH-cam channels ever get monetized because people quit for a variety of reasons. With that being said, you're off to a great start. Four "quality" videos per month is more than enough. It's normal to see that roughly 1 video each month will do far better than the others. Use the Studio to find out what your viewers like, then immediately adapt. Have fun with it and don't burn out by making it a chore. I started my channel less than 2 months ago, and I received lots of encouragement. Hold onto your dream!
Nothing worse than being super proud of a video and putting in hours and then logging in the next day and it's just crickets. Such a horrible morbid feeling but just one like in contrast or 3 views feels like a spiritual experience so it balances out.
In my experience the views will always come in 3/4 days after. I try not to look at my views until at least 3 days after - completely agree with you it’s so hard!!! Think of your video as a monetary asset, the returns will come later even if they are not coming now. As long as you keep going the views will come later 🙏
you're so nervous its cute but thats good it means you care. even when u started talking about the perfect length for videos, i looked down at the timestamp and noticed you ended the video just after 10min but before 11min to be parallel with what you researched😂 you are doing just fine keep creating, dont think too hard on it 👍
You’re getting 40 subs a week. I think that’s pretty good. Filling out your about me and stuff will help people figure out what your channel is about. Your presence is good and your audio and video is good. I’d probably Suggest working on your backgrounds and get some color in your scene and definitely in your thumbnails. TH-cam suggested your video and I honestly just clicked on it to find out how easy you thought it would be. You’ll make it. You just keep going and tweak it along the way. My other channel is there, but it took quite awhile
Can relate, I just started mine also in cybersecurity and going through the same thing. Wonder if there is a certain subscriber count needed before getting pushed to the algo?
Nope! I did not experience that, I had around 20 subscribers when my video started getting pushed by algo. It’s a combination of thumbnails, topics of videos and titles - let me know if you want a video on this! 🤍
Good on ya Jasmin! Keep going. I just posted my second video and it sucks... I don't start speaking until 1min in 😂 at least it leaves me room for improvement haha

Keep it up, I have been doing this for over a year and still figuring things out.
Hello dear, here watching and supporting my fellow content creators, thanks for sharing this content, thumbs up done keep pushing forward, blessings to you.
I am in a very similar situation as you. Just breathing new life into my channel. Taking it much more seriously now. I subscribed to your channel. Good luck!
As a fellow small channel I can totally relate to everything you said 🙃 it’s tough out here 😅
thanks for the honesty and statistical assessments you've done..
hey girl! you‘re so right about yt being a lonely thing! i started posting regularly a few months ago and i‘m slowly growing an audience but i too thought that getting monetized would be far easier :‘) i do have 580 subs now but not even 1k watch hours.. new sub, sending love
omg and!! you’re actually the first person i hear talk about their therapy journey as well 🎉 my content is about my depression and how i live with it
Hello my love - so glad I’m not alone in my experience of thinking it wouldn’t be this hard haha - you’ve got this!
@@priscillamaps 😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️ hugggsss from Bosnia and Herzegovina♥️♥️♥️please keep uploading, I also subscribed to your channel♥️♥️♥️
Wish you all the best on your journey I hope you enjoy it
This is great! You will be monetized sooner than you think!❤🎉 Good luck!
The thing about monetizing on TH-cam is to never depend on Adsense. The real way to earn money is selling a product, service or affiliate links. You have to get millions and millions of views to truly be making BANK.
Good luck subbed. Its the grind. Im getting there.
Been grinding for years. Definitely not easy! Just keep believing
Congratulations Jasmin! You definitely reach your goal before December😊
Thank you for supporting!
subscribed! love how real and relatable your videos are. We're also trying to grow and it's a slow marathon journey hahaha
Thank you so much! 💗💗
I started in aug 2018. Not monetized yet. I just try to keep on track and be consistent 🙂
I started a faceless channel 2 weeks ago. Today I have only around 50 subscribers, it’s harder than I thought. But it is nice to know that someone out there liked your videos. And those give you the motivation to keep going. Thanks for this video and your sincerity 😊
Of course!! You have got this - 50 subscribers (think of 50 people in front of you in real life) is awesome 💗
I'm in the same boat. Best of luck to you!❤ 💯
I started my channel as a hobby, I didn't start it in hopes of getting monetized.
Yess I have started recently too but it’s fine we’ll get there!
Wow thank you for sharing your experience, that is crazy!
I pray we all make it🤞
Just enjoy the process and be yourself ❤ and you will really start to enjoy it and find it easy.
Whenever you have interesting things to share, grab your camera and its showtime ✨️
Wish you all the best on your journey and hope you achieve all your goals and dreams from this journey ✨️
Thank you so much!
OMG! Almost 400 subscribers only after 12 videos.... You are killing it!!!
Thank you!! I’m very happy with all the comments and interaction 💗
Good luck to everyone trying to grow their TH-cam channel! ❤ We got this! We will all be monetized in 2025! 🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing. I wish you much success on your journey.
It’s definitely not easy hoping to get monetised soon ❤ got my subscribers quickly but the watch hours is difficult! but keep going we all got this
Good luck!! Rooting for you 💗
We're all on this YT journey...im still on mine as well!!
Interesting take on it! Will definitely take your advice onboard.. thank you! 💗
Super chill person keep up the great work and the grind
Thank you so much!
@@Jasminmakesluck ur welcome always willing to help other TH-camrs
You’re gonna be happy that you spent all of that time working on getting better performing your speech
Some niches are easier than others. I really thought I would get monetized quickly because of my strong faith...but sadly it hasn't happened yet. I am just gonna keep pushing on and building my video library! Luck to the both of us!❤🎉
Takes a lot more than "faith" to do well on TH-cam, come on.
@@yogadaily9864 I follow another Christian TH-camr and she got monetized in 2 months. I won't say it doesn't ever happen. Cause it does.
Is it common? No.
I have posted 30 videos in a month and got 70subs but I’m soo happy!
Same case with, I started 3 weeks ago and have posted less than 20 videos with 43 subs and I'm super excited though opened the channel in 2018. Never give up, we will get there
@@nicesamuel879 yesss , if it’s something you enjoy then followers don’t matter , btw I’ll subscribe to you good luck!
Your doing a great job 🎉
Thank you for sharing your experience😊
I've just started a youtube channel, sharing my knowledge of business, investing and building wealth. I got 5 videos filmed in one day and have 1 scheduled a week to go live. I work full time and have 2 small kids so just trying to work with the time I have 😊
Keep it up 💗
unsolicited advice
1. make better thumbnails and titles
2. dont listen to advice in these comments saying dont focus on money - if u wanna get monetized, treat it as a business from the start
3. focus on becoming a better storyteller - aka learn how to make what you're saying 10x more interesting than it actually is
4. dont listen to people who say it needs to take a long time .. it only takes a long time if youre spending a long time doing the wrong things. it took me like 4 videos i think
5. figure out a better way to monetize right now not later
Thank you gorgeous this is super helpful x
Saw your channel and subscribed! I am a new TH-camr as well and my past 2 videos blew up, but then the video I posted today only got 8 views. I’m realizing that TH-cam is a long game that you have to play. I also did notice that sometimes it takes some time for TH-cam to categorize your video and really take off. So right now my goal is consistency and to reach 100 videos. I’m excited to watch your journey and see how things change in the next few months!!
Awesome thank you for the tips and sharing your experience. Glad we are in it together 💗
@@Jasminmakesluck me too! Have a great day 💕
Keep going 🔥
To all us Small channels and stuck with small numbers good luck 🤗
4:30 do livestreams, it's ten times better than comments and you get to know your subs and channel members. It took me around a bit under three years to get monetized (2019-2022) that was a different time, but same principles apply.
Omg good idea thank you! X
but dont be discouraged just keep going as long as u want ive been making youtube for longer then my friend and she had almost 10k and have more then 200k views on her videos which i dont understand why she doesnt apply for monetization she thinks she does deserve it, but i say this too everyone starting a small channel u do deserve it if ur doing something u love or wanna do then do it 😊 also youtube puts ads on channels that are under 1k or havent even applied for monetization its seriously dumb but i hope you channel goes well
I think only about 6 percent of TH-cam channels ever get monetized because people quit for a variety of reasons.
This advice is golden! Thank you sharing your wisdom 💗
I'm with you Jasmin! Keep going! 😊❤
Hey,Yeah its the same for me its so hard for people to see your channel and support you.
@@FrameplayBricks7 let’s keep going and see where we get to! Much more happier to not do this alone
@@Jasminmakesluck 🙏
you're so nervous its cute but thats good it means you care. even when u started talking about the perfect length for videos, i looked down at the timestamp and noticed you ended the video just after 10min but before 11min to be parallel with what you researched😂 you are doing just fine keep creating, dont think too hard on it 👍
Nervous but cute haha! I will take it 😂💗
@@Jasminmakesluck im gonna check back in a month u better still be posting!
Keep doing your thing 🙏
U definitely will be have success i can see it all over you ❤
Thank you so much!
@@Jasminmakesluck ur so welcome
Yes me too im facing lots of problems to monetize my channel...NO views no likes no watch time
@@Eraofficial1994 I will keep you up to date with any new tricks that work for me! There must be a way..
You’re getting 40 subs a week. I think that’s pretty good. Filling out your about me and stuff will help people figure out what your channel is about. Your presence is good and your audio and video is good. I’d probably
Suggest working on your backgrounds and get some color in your scene and definitely in your thumbnails.
TH-cam suggested your video and I honestly just clicked on it to find out how easy you thought it would be.
You’ll make it. You just keep going and tweak it along the way.
My other channel is there, but it took quite awhile
Oh and reply to every comment on your videos. Good or bad. Create community and interact with people. Then they will want to sub
Wow thanks for taking the time to write out all that advice! I’m going to take it onboard and update my bio when I can - appreciate it!
heeeyyyy, wish you much success !!!!!
I'm way too far but keeping positive. Good luck everyone 👋
I have a new you tube channel that’s two weeks old. Thanks for your story . Just subscribed 😊
This is so so relatable 🥲🥲
True im here for your support too...keep going
Good on ya Jasmin! Keep going. I just posted my second video and it sucks... I don't start speaking until 1min in 😂 at least it leaves me room for improvement haha
Always improve and you will massively impress yourself! Proud of you
I subscribed and will be following. Just keep going. I only have 29 subscribers but I know I'll get there. Just learn from the process and keep pushing through❤❤❤
