Going too slow,NH 68 are very good balers, you need 540 rpm on the PTO to give the baler 60 strokes a minute on the ram, if the bales are still banana shaped you can adjust the feeder tines, they slide backwards or forwards to feed the chamber evenly, also the bale tensioners on the back of the chamber have to be exactly the same otherwise it puts more pressure on one side of the bale than the other
It looks like he's going far too slow there's not enough crop on each stuffer stroke to fill the chamber evenly, it's only padding a bit through, which isn't racing the far side. I don't think you could adjust the throw on those 🤔
No one pays more down here, you'll see 15 adverts go up in a 4/5 day window £3-£4 a bale is always the average. Sure we could sit on them till winter to get £4-5 but then you lose your buildings for 6 months
At those prices you can't upgrade equipment you should double your prices for field pickup and store the rest tell dec jan feb and charge 8 . @@MowersFamilyFarm

Always find when he increases rpm and goes faster the bale chamber clogs up and we have to stop and pull it all out again, always seems to happen and can loose 10 minutes cutting the bales out and pulling the loose hay out aswell.
@@landyandy7 yeah he runs at 540 but goes slow with feeding it in, only reason he used the Renault over the David brown or ford as it's only one with working clocks 😂🤦

I bale 55 to 60 Lbs. / 25 to 27 Kg. and you can't pull the strings together from each side .Thats why no one wants to pay more money !

Balers are designed to run at 540 rpm and select a gear for the crop thickness
