    If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

    I so appreciate your videos, I downloaded all 10 just so I can reference them as I'm doing this job on my daughters crv at the moment in So. Calif.It is so nice to know what to expect before starting the job. Again, great job on caring enough to go through the trouble to make these videos to makes other people's lives a little easier. Thank You. Note. So. Calif cars are rust-free and at 16 years old the one I'm working on looks new which I'm very thankful for and the crank pulley bolt only took about 5 minutes and it was off.

      Well thank you so much for the compliment. This really pleases me that it's helping people. Well I don't know about that crankshaft bolt coming off that easily !!!!! hmmmmm your the first it was nice to then. Loads on the net about people struggling to undo that bolt. Just go careful with each step as it's easy to make a silly mistake and the Honda's seem very fussy on things. Superbly made engine though.

    Well my head gasket on my 2003 is done thanks to your video. It costs me $1,000 in Honda original parts. I did the thermostat, new head bolts, water pump and spark plugs at the same time. I learned a couple of things. Always have the head surfaced. It costs less than $100 and is cheap insurance. I broke the same thermo coupler you did , Honda made me buy a complete new part.
    I also learned on the serpentine belt if you use a closed 14mm wrench on the nut, you can use your 1/2 breaker bar in the open side giving you enough leverage to release the idler. The stealership quoted us $4500 for the repair.
    Thanks again

    Great video!! Detailed and informative.
    I own the similar model with almost 400K km on it. Did a lot of repair works on the peripheral system. Just sharing.
    1)To do most of the peripheral system, bonnet support bracket(T-bracket) removal will able to provide sufficient space. Removal of condenser fan unit/coolant expansion tank will provide extra room.
    2) To take out the IMRc or plastic intake manifold, i did not need to take out the fuel rail. (But to remove the inner metal air intake manifold, fuel rail has to be removed anyway)😆...

    I'm about to take on the task of changing the head gasket on my 04' CRV, but before the head gasket got damaged I was hearing a lot of squeaking whenever I hit the gas while driving, do you think there's anything else I need to fix, maybe something with the ignition?
    Thanks again for this great series! Really does help a lot!

    • @CoatsandGaiters
      @CoatsandGaiters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really appreciate your positive comment. Sadly I didn't drive the vehicle before fixing it as I bought it as a non runner. Squeaking wouldn't be metal against metal would it? I'd just advice doing everything slowly and precisely on the K series. I wouldn't rush any part of it. Good luck.

    Your video is a ton of help for me Sir, im not a mechanic but ‘LOVE” to learn this. I have a 2004 crv ( i think that car is pretty exposed on salted environment ), and i want to remove its intake manifold just to clean it but im very hesitant until i saw your video. Just one thing, i,d observed that upon the removal of intake manifold it doesnt have a gasket on it between the manifold and the engine block.

    • @CoatsandGaiters
      @CoatsandGaiters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really appreciate your positive comments and glad this might help you. I had to just check when you said no gaskets but there is........on the plastic outer manifold there are round rubber inserts that seal the plastic part to the aluminium inner manifold and then the aluminium inner part has a normal strip gasket. Hope this helps mad duran. At 29 minutes in you can see a photograph of the plastic outer manifold and just make out the 2 x '0-0' like rubber seals.

    Hi , just thought that on the manifold, you label the hose " Pipe to water pump housing " but I think it is a vacuum line and it goes to the PCV valve. i got confused by that.

    • @CoatsandGaiters
      @CoatsandGaiters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry about that. Yes your right it is a vacuum hose. Have you any idea why it goes to the water pump Leviticus? I've never come across that before.
