Great advice on workflow. I’ve definitely been bit in the arse several times and learnt similar lessons to what you’re talking about. One extra thing I do now is to duplicate the parts before I union or apply fillets. That way I have a backup in case it becomes un-editable (often the case with complicated filleted areas).
Looking forward to your take on a helmet, mine were difficult.
