(He’s a cheater, he used anal beads to cheat, etc.) If you listen in between the incendiary remarks, most of what he speaks about is “how damaging” accusations are and how he has “no friends in the sport.” This is how a person, who has had no choice but to be combative, and who has no choice but to come across as self-assured speaks.
@@Aurongroove Of course some people do ,and others don't. Reality don't care if something is cliche or not. I remember seeing him on a TV show called Crook and Chase, when he had just become master at the age of 10. Being in and from Oklahoma, I also remember him playing in the US Junior Chess Championship here, thanks to the financial support of some chess lovers here in the state. I wish Hikaru the best in chess, as well as life itself. He has done so much to keep chess relevant in the US. Thank you. 🙂
Honestly from a maturity standpoint, Hans presented himself quite well here. Certainly better than other recent interviews.
Absolutely. Not a Hans fan and he did say a few iffy things but his responses were far better in this interview than other ones
The meaning of being humbled
Better than recent interviews? Sure. But the bar was absurdly low.
Part of it is he was talking to Danya who he actually likes.
Better than in other interviews is putting the bar below ground
didn't Hans tell Levi that he was in reaaaaally good form ???
With all what hans has gone through. It's really impressive he's still able to play at that level. I would be destroyed mentally
@@wedab9649 I don't think he's the kind of person that gets affected by these things, I think he thrives in controversy.
@@wedab9649he got humbled and thats it. No doubt in my mind he is great but he got straight up sh*t on by both and thats not because he went through stuff its simply cause he isnt at that level in those time formats. Look how he behaved before the games and now.
@@Devilnero1991that’s a cliché, actually no one thrives in controversy. It’s just people often have no choice but to either crumble or fight back, and will usually choose to fight back.
No one has suffered the humiliation Hans has suffered for fairly beating Magnus Carlson in an over the board game. (He’s a cheater, he used anal beads to cheat, etc.)
If you listen in between the incendiary remarks, most of what he speaks about is “how damaging” accusations are and how he has “no friends in the sport.”
This is how a person, who has had no choice but to be combative, and who has no choice but to come across as self-assured speaks.
@@Aurongroove Of course some people do ,and others don't. Reality don't care if something is cliche or not. Someone unaffected by emotions because he has no access to them or someone who don't have them will thrive in high pressure situations because everyone will feel it and some don't, they can calmly control the situation while others who have emotions and don't know how to manage them (99%) can't!
"No one has suffered....
...but to come across as self-assured speaks."
Ok.
P.S If scammers didn't know how to scam people by exploiting their emotions, very well, there wouldn't be scams.
Omfg Hans. You have to give better player the respect to learn from them or your limiting yourself. Danny had such a good question and Hans showed his stubborness. Hope he out grows it
This was an even bigger blowout than I was hoping for between Hikari and Hans. I loved every minute of it.
Damn! Hikaru wasn't afraid to throw hands in this interview. I guess you could say, Hikaru speaks for himself
Is Hans using the new vibrating Secret Labs chair?
That's too bad. I hear it lags.
I think Hans came across well here and i sense he wants to bring this chapter to an end. I wish him all the best and i hope he keeps improving and gets to the very top as all sports need their characters.
He won't. He has Kramnik as his new life coach. 😂
lol did you watch the pregame interviews? He’s in a desperate bid to save face after doubling down on this delusional narrative that he’s the best. Of course he’s being calm and conciliatory.
Completely humiliated, desperately trying to save face, anal beads silent, but still present
Hans playing a blitz tournament:
Time management is something I didn't really think about.
I mean. He came in cocky and he said he doesn't play people they're caliber so definitely no surprise that he struggled with the time pressure.
MAN don't make me go crying like that, you ain't no old yet
Magnus and Hikaru beat the delusion out of him. But even here he gives hints of arrogance trying the make the gap between him and the others small. He'll win couple of games and again start thinking he's the best-est goat
To be fair.... you kinda gotta believe you can win to compete at that level. I don't really like Hans. I'm much happier that magnus is at the top instead of Hans or hikaru. But still in order to be the beat I think you gotta at least entertain the idea that you're that guy. Let the losses propell you till you prove what you "knew" all along
Love you Hikaru!
Both Hikaru and Magnus made a very similar comment in their post-match interviews - 'three out of the four players here are playing at a certain level'. I mean, you don't have to put two and two together to figure out who they're talking about. Aren't they basically just saying, he cheats, you can't trust him, why is he even at this competition? Is there *more* on Niemann that they just can't/won't say? Amazing.
Hans just isnt nearly as good as the other 3. He might have the skill to improve and get there one day. But what he really needs to do is grow up. He is just unlikable.
Lmao. So 4 out of the top5 are on another level and the top5 are on another level from the top6?
What douches Hikaru and Magnus sound like
What I don't hear discussed much, is the fact that Hans played Magnus much tougher than Ali Gucci-reza did! - Just look at the final match scores! - and we all know what a master of speed chess that Ali-Reza is - this should finally make those who suspected Hans of cheating feel super stupid about now! 😂
@@carlosedwardos the match score was closer, but Carlsen was honest about it after… he wasn’t very motivated and wanted the match to be over, and he would have to be much more focused for Ali Reza.
Hans comes across as angry and mentally tormented .
Hikarus personal growth these last 7 years is absolutely insane.
"Three of the four players are at a certain level....." BROOOOOOOO 😂
the problem of having a big mouth is that someone eventually will shut it off but twice on the same tournament is sweet. Thank you Hikaru and Magnus for taking care of Hans Krymnik Neimann
Hans and Magnus smacked the accent outta the kid.
no matter when you pause the video, Hans always looks pissed off
Hans looks like he just destroyed his hotel room's furniture.
Kramnic went all in on Hans being a cheater when it happened. The simple fact that both hate hikaru is what brings them two together. Hans is going down a wrong road imo. Sad to watch
sad thinking about him personally, but there is also a part of me celebrating this proper villain arc
Congrats Hikaru for keeping Hans's mouth shut. Atleast for the next few months.
Hans before the Match. Im ready to go right now. After the match . I wasnt ready. Lol. Reality check boy.
Hans got put into his place and was humbled.
Imagine losing to Nakamura, who is only a streamer LUL
22:08 Asking if Hans would like to train with Magnus: "Would you push away your personal enemas?". That's a Freudian slip right there!
lol... personal animus?
Please keep going Hikaru, I LOVE SEEING YOU BEAT THE NEWER GENERATION!
Great interview. Put Hans in his place then spoke the truth to the chess world.
Amazing interview! Keep it up Hikaru, you're awesome!!
Hans can talk like he has some sense. Wow
Hikaru what a legend, Love you man ✊️
naroditskys body language looks as though hes about to get thrown into a locker by hans
Hans being red in the face after Hikaru's interview is so funny
Favourite moment was Bc7, threatening bishop and discovered check. Leaning back and relaxing 😎
"One day the chess will speak and you'll all hear it." - Chess has spoken today too, Hans. I hope you heard it.
I’m 5 minutes into this video and it’s just Hikaru straight going in on everyone lolol so funny
I have the feeling Hikaru never felt happier about the 3rd place.
After combat sports ,you only see this level of shade and smack talking only in chess 😂
Hans is the Trump of chess
if Hans would always be this calm and collected...
How is this the same Hans as in the Levy interview? This is perfectly reasonable
Actually his answer about training with Magnus is amazing. Magnus himself often states that self-belief is important. You can't beat Magnus unless you believe that in that day you're just a better player however cocky it may sound.
