Thanks Lewis - working towards getting back to some decent high ground. Might get you in the radio one day - From South Wales I can hit Winter Hill on 27Mhz 4w FM and I reckon 446 would be on too. Cheers.

104's outdoors back on the hills, love it! Excellent as always Gary, I've not heard Alan 113 that clear before on FM as it goes. Lovely chap he is too. Hopefully I'll get out for the homesteaders net from long this end of the south coast in the coming weeks and you'd never know - might make a two-way with you again. All the best 73'.

Good to get Alan 113's Homebase from nearly 30 miles away on 4w FM - spoke to him many times and one of the guys that I'm sure would pass a message on reliably. My locations will improve as the fitness improves, so hopefully get you in the radio sometime soon! Cheers.

Good video. I always like the good old simple setups that just work. Keep the vids going. I am back on the radio the last time was in the 80s as a kid using big bros crobra

    Hi Gary,
Thanks for another interesting and informative video. Keep them coming sir and good to see you fit enough to go out on the hills again.

That hike is a good test - I did pretty well but struggled on the steep stuff, so not quite 'Brecon Beacons' fit just yet! Cheers.

Been a while since I’ve jumped onto a CT net. Good to see folks are still getting out there.

Nice to hear from you Karl. It's actually the old Homesteaders net still going after 30+ years in existence - thumbs up to the guys past and present who've kept it going! Cheers.

Some cabel ties will help with your antenna setup. Put some in to your bag.

Thanks - I'm not really interested in chasing skip or operating from car or homebase, but give me a hill and some cheap radio kit and I'm in my element! Cheers.
