Hi! I saw this comment like 2 hours ago and I got the book. I am absolutely in love with this book and I'ce only read it for half an hour or so. I want to thank you for the rec
@@fotbolabtin OMG where do I start!? So it's basically about this badass half siren pirate captain who is the saighter of the feared and ruthless pirate king. I think 12+ would be fine for this book, honestly nothing that shouldn’t be read by 12-13 year olds is in this book, so I would def recommend if your in that age group, I was that age when i first read them. 💗

For those wanting suggestions, here are some that I've come up with! For crime, my suggestions are: A Good Liar by Amanda Brooke, When She Was Good by Michael Robotham, Left Fur Dead (and the two following books in the trilogy) by J.M. Griffin, The Dan Brown series, The Locked Attic by B.P. Walter, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, and Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi. For fantasy, my suggestions are: The Percy Jackson books, The Shadows Between Us by Ericia Levenseller, His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, and Time's Convert by Deborah Harkness. For romance, my suggestions are: the Heartstopper series (if you like picture novels), Love Frankie by Jacqueline Wilson, They Both Die at the End (which I never really liked but I know a lot of people that did enjoy it), and The Secret Life of Lucy Lovecake by Pippa James. The His Dark Materials series also has romance in it. And for those little random ones that would be by themselves in a category, I suggest: Moonology by Yasmin Boland (nonfiction), An Immense World by Ed Yong (nonfiction), IT by Stephan King (horror), and Anne of Green Gables (historical fiction). A good tip for cheap books is buying them in Tesco. The books in Tesco tend to be really random but amazing (they also sell popular books too), but they are much cheaper than in a bookstore.

YA stands for Young Adult. A young adult is someone who is a teen or in their early twenties. So most YA is already for teens. I don't understand the meaning of this video???
Because some people like to read young adults books, for myself I’m 15 and I don’t want to read very mature books bc I don’t like them plus I don’t think my parents would like that💀
In Literature (at the very least but also maybe tv & movies according to a screenwriter friend) YA encompasses all *young* adult content, which includes the new label that has become big recently: New Adult. This includes books with protagonists and main characters 18-30 dealing with the coming of age stories of those ages: college, first job/early career, living on your own for the first time, etc. A good portion of these books (since they are written for and marketed towards the +18 crowd) include more mature themes including, but not limited to, more explicit sexual content. But since these books handle *young* adults and coming of age stories, things regular(?) adults don't want to read I guess??? They are marketed as YA. And are then put in the same section of the bookstore & libraries as the YA books meant for teens (the age where the term young adult means "almost an adult") that, by industry standards for books marketed for under 18, can't have more than 5 (some arbitrary low number) curse words & have fade to black sex scenes.
I am new to reading I don’t know many young adult books also I’m a student who is broke right now I need someone to recommend me actual good books because I don’t want to waste my money and also get hooked on those books, this video is very helpful

is it me or it feels like wherever teens are associated, only books with love issues or heartbreaks are proposed to read. I was going to buy a mystery novel box on teen genre but thanks for opening my eyes, now i will go with mixed fiction
@@moose6089 Fable takes place in a pirate-like kind of world and it is the story of a girl who was left on an island by her father for 4 years and is rescued by a crew that take her to the place where her father is but eventually she goes back to the crew because she made some friends and some more-than-friends on the crew. There are a few peoces that pulled at my heartstings, and some that had me on the edge of my seat. Definately ends on a cliffhanger though so I would recomend buying the second book Namesake aswell. Not trying to spoil too much but I absolutely LOVE the person that Fable ended up with as her love interest at the end and there are definately some "saucy" bits. The second book also builds off of the first in an amazing way and lot's of truths are unveiled. I am currently in the middle of the second book and 100% recomend these books because they are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat, and my friends were definately concerned about me constantly telling them every detail of the book that I am reading constantly late into the night. 10000/10 Please read this book!
Another amazing recommendation from a teen personally Is “Places We’ve never been” by Kasie West it’s no joke one of the best books I’ve ever read and it’s not a hard read so I finished it in 2 days. I have a picture of it up on my channel if anybody wants to see it but it’s amazing VERY HIGHLY recommend for teens 12-16
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I’m incredibly uncomfortable with books with spice and whenever I look on booktok find one that’s interesting it ends up having spice and I just stop reading. Everyone has preferences but it’s just not for me. THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH!!!!!
I don't know why these day's it's just a trend to hate on collen hover without even reading her books . like literally people who haven't even read a single book of her's are hating on her for NO good reason like bruhh Collen writes so much more than just romance or smut and just for an example, people who say that it ends with us was a smut for real dont have the capability of digest truth and don't know anything about their surroundings... honestly it was a book that covered sucha big topic of domestic abuse so beautifully and rest of her books as well , according to me they are very beautifully written and people who are not reading her books just because of those bad reviews, trust me you are missing a very amazing novels because of those few diplomats. GIVE IT A TRY YOURSELF..... ps : firstly they overhyped a book themselves(even people who don't know anything about books were like ) and then they are hating the author for it it really hurts as a reader to see these people smutisizing a book which is so much more then that

Me 11 has read shatter me series (working on it) if he had been with me etc.. and my mom checked the back too so they were kinda inappropriate for me but I ask mom for the rest and now I have books for forever
Here are some recommendations of mine 1. The goldfinch by Donna tartt 2. I am not okay with this 3. It obvi by Stephen kings 4.the war I finally won 5. The outsiders 6 . It’s a manga but tokyo avengers ❤
"teens" is a pretty wide age bracket but I think Colleen Hoover is pretty inappropriate for ppl in their early teens like, i don't think 13 yr olds should be reading that kinda stuff (im saying this as someone who is in that age bracket, i have a lot of friends who read Colleen Hoover and I honestly think it promotes a lot of toxic stuff which younger people might think is healthy and it could affect their future relationships)
Can anyone recommend books for 13 year olds I am new to reading sooo I don't know many 😅😅 My parents r kinda strict when it comes to reading sooo something that a 13 year old can read Also books where he can't breathe without her ❤ Pls recommend ❤🎉

that was three too many coho books- i’m gonna take your word for it and skip these 🤩
I
is it me or it feels like wherever teens are associated, only books with love issues or heartbreaks are proposed to read. I was going to buy a mystery novel box on teen genre but thanks for opening my eyes, now i will go with mixed fiction
Omg if ur looking for a mystery novel read the series of ‘a good girls guide to murder’ asap! It’s soooo good I couldn’t put it down! 😍
I‘d recommend you the truly devious series!

I love Fable 😌
What’s Fable about just wondering
Yea
@@moose6089 it’s amazing. Read it about two months ago. Difficult to explain but definetly one of my favorite reads this year.
@@scoobydoobydoo9862 thank you I will be sure to add it to my tbr
10000/10
Please read this book!
Me when I was 12:reading all the bright places, girl in pieces and how it feels to float
Tsitp has my heart
Can you do one for the younger side of teenagers
Inheritence games is the love of my lifee after harry Potter ofc❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
I’m incredibly uncomfortable with books with spice and whenever I look on booktok find one that’s interesting it ends up having spice and I just stop reading. Everyone has preferences but it’s just not for me.
THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH!!!!!
FOR REAL!! I recommend powerless if u haven’t read it, no spice. They kiss in the rain once and that’s really it.
I don't know why these day's it's just a trend to hate on collen hover without even reading her books . like literally people who haven't even read a single book of her's are hating on her for NO good reason
like bruhh Collen writes so much more than just romance or smut and just for an example, people who say that it ends with us was a smut for real dont have the capability of digest truth and don't know anything about their surroundings... honestly it was a book that covered sucha big topic of domestic abuse so beautifully
and rest of her books as well , according to me they are very beautifully written
and people who are not reading her books just because of those bad reviews, trust me you are missing a very amazing novels because of those few diplomats. GIVE IT A TRY YOURSELF.....
ps : firstly they overhyped a book themselves(even people who don't know anything about books were like ) and then they are hating the author for it
it really hurts as a reader to see these people smutisizing a book which is so much more then that
100 AGREED! Co Ho saved me
Let’s just admit Colleen Hoover is a great author
@@kai-aya8110 yeah i think it does on chapter 13 I believe
@@siyuul I'm on chapter 12
Wish me luck 😏
Are there any other authors like her?
@@kai-aya8110 Yes, please don’t read it if you don’t like …yk… because it is everywhere
Let's just pretend she isn't romanticizing abuse and defending her sexual assaulter son
little women >> i also recommend the hunger games book series aswell they’re so good, and i’m pretty sure it’s clean with no spicy stuff, from what i remember. please correct me if i’m wrong :)

YESS The Inheritance Games is top tier 👌
can you please do romance books for 13 year olds with strict parents
Omg you have the same pfp as me!
Me reading All The Bright Places and We Were Liars in middle school 💀
Read The Inheritance Games PLEASE. MY FAVORITE SERIES EVER💚💙❤️
Not me at 14 reading It ends with us, Twisted series, Icebreaker, Folk of the air and Shatter me🥲💀
"teens" is a pretty wide age bracket but I think Colleen Hoover is pretty inappropriate for ppl in their early teens
like, i don't think 13 yr olds should be reading that kinda stuff (im saying this as someone who is in that age bracket, i have a lot of friends who read Colleen Hoover and I honestly think it promotes a lot of toxic stuff which younger people might think is healthy and it could affect their future relationships)
I'm 15 and I've almost completed half the school library😅
Its all chill, till its colleen hoover
Can anyone recommend books for 13 year olds I am new to reading sooo I don't know many 😅😅
My parents r kinda strict when it comes to reading sooo something that a 13 year old can read
Also books where he can't breathe without her ❤
Pls recommend ❤🎉
Can you put age recommendations for the books please I don’t want to read something I regret
Inheritance games 😍😍😍
