- Today's adventure into Switzerland began when we began hiking in the swiss alps!! I have to say it was the most scenic hike i have ever been on!!
Heading to Switzerland and want to take this very hike? The name of the mountain is Ebenalp and the name of the lake we walked around is called Seealpsee.

I felt a little embarrassed for you when you said you just woke up "in this nice area called Switzerland." That's like saying you just woke up in this nice area called the United States. You mean "in this nice area *_in_* Switzerland." (Switzerland is a country, not an area.) Sorry to belabor one sentence. I point it out, in case you'd like to edit it. Most TH-camrs wouldn't bother, but your editing standards are obviously extremely high.
I may never get to visit these places so I'm very thankful for this beautiful video.

awesome hike! I was in the Swiss Alps for about two days in 2015... it was amazing and I would love to do more exploring like this. To bad I wasn't doing videos at the time... :-)

Now THIS is the place I shoulda been born in. This is how I want to live. This is so gorgeous. Beyond gorgeous. Outright gorgeous gorgeous! 😍
"A 100 years ago and there was no civilization" - dude, read up on history. Also; went up a full 1644 meters. In the alps.
My only comment is from my experience doing long bike rides in remote spots...never be without some kind of emergency food, energy bars, gels, etc, in the backpack, and water! I was really surprised that experienced hikers like you guys ran out of water and didn't have emergency food, but it happens. It did to me on the PIne Creek Rail Trail, PA, USA, I assumed food would be available after a grueling hike up the Turkey Point Path, but nope - cafe was closed. Gotta take extra care especially on unknown trails. I sure do, now. Apart from that, a beautiful hike.

I rather think it is a artillery outpost to protect the area
Look at the really good conditions it is and there is no way to get in
From the satellite it will look like a normal house
The swiss let intruders have a really bad time
it's an Alp house. at some point (probably not long ago) someone would stay there to watch over a herd (cows or goats) for the summer. still happens in some areas.

Beautiful hike. I've hiked a bit in Switzerland. I always try to do loop walks or multi day walks as I don't like returning by the same way. Amazing it was so warm in November. Another year it could well be covered in snow. Always carry some food. No fun out on a hike and hungry and energy level and mood running low.
I wish I have that luxury (for me, it is) and luck to be there.

We have got way more places. This one doesn’t provide fireplaces with free fire wood. There is nothing better than grill some Klöpfer and snake bread with marmelade.
I have travelled 8 miles to a height of 2980 meters which is about twice as large as this mountain in this video. The trek I am talking about is above moderate trek and has steep climbs appearing intermittently.
They are so pretty , those stunning mountains, but you are basically walking up . Not as hard asI I thought . I am from Australia and our mountains are no where near as high as the ones in Switzerland and they claim ours are only large hills . Well at least we don’t get altitude sickness lol

Looks just like my amazing state of Montana. Glacier National Park, the Swiss Alps of America!
Montana is a very beautiful state, especially the west part (East is still good tho). I think its the most beautiful state of the contiguous united states. I may live there in the future
I think it is just boring that everyone goes to Zurich. Go to Bern and also to the French speaking part. (Bern is 10 times more beautiful than Zurich)

Thanks for replying. I crisscrossed the U.S hiking and hitting tourist traps., but at the times I was able to go abroad, the "abroad" was in turmoil. I live itt thru others eyes now.
Is it an American thing to walk around without your shirt on? The video's revery good and the info' is helpful but the 'no shirt' thing we call 'bogan' here in Oz.
Yes it must be an American thing. Just think of someone who goes to the beach to get a sun tan, they take their shirt off. Well, if you're from Alaska and it's sunny, you have to take advantage of the sun shine and get some vitamin D while you can. :)
