I positively *weep* for all those who watched this video without turning on the captions first. That was awesome. Unfortunately for my husband he was already sleeping when I watched this and my random outbursts of laughter slightly disturbed his sleep. I totally wouldn't have guessed about the mic but found the attention and dedication to accurate audio representation delightful. 😁
Truly beautiful! Love the addition of the top "knob!" Unique and exquisite! Love the color of the wood and the pearl resin. Excellent wood and color choice, design and end result!
I knew that about Doug -- love the random facts here Ken, and the commentary - it's like sitting at one of those sports trivia bars lol. Beautiful project, thanks for sharing.
Hi! is this piece going to be for sale? Didn't see it on your website. I absolutely love this piece. It is gorgeous and would look fabulous on Mt mahogany dresser! Amazing work! Your friend, Dotty ❤😎🙃
Looks great, Ken. When you made the extra pours my first thought was lid and finial. I guess I've been watching you too long lol. The sound synced really well. I've seen some of Doug's pomskies on lives before. And that that company's loss. I heard they were recently sold. Whew! I guess that's all. Bill
They were sold? Wow, didn't know that. I really love their products. I have 10 of their tools and 5 faceplates. I only had one homemade tool and the woodpecker carbide at the time. I mostly used their tools though. No big deal though. Just wasn't a good fit.
One of my favorite woods as for that stir 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 lmao and no one wood be that childish to say anything about the colour 😉😉 lmao although no I won't say nothing about a deposit lol 3.34 you should of been saying aaayyy like the fonz 👍🏻
Beautiful piece of work .. glad you used both resin and walnut for the lid piece .. and you are right, never noticed difference in sound as I was concentrating on the wood turning portion.
Personally, I like the sexy pour music. And top notch Foley skills on dragging the stick on the driveway. The things you do for your audience - so under appreciated. Love the bowl! It makes me think of cookies and cream.
There is so much serendipity in your unplaned pieces! I love walnut and the tinted epoxy sets it off so well! And, yeah, I absolutely love Doug's Pomskies. Wish I lived a little closer to him. There are a couple in his newest litters that I'd love to have.
I think some of my most favorite pieces from you are the ones made from scraps and past fails. I love this one and that extra detail of the tiny lid spindle on top! I was thinking what a bowl would look like made with something that isn't a scrap , but I bet it would look great (cedar moth repellent balls). I can just see the wonderful little spheres turning into all sizes of circles on the outside and inside ! Then there are also cedar rings and even ones shaped like a flower. Just thought I would poke that in your cranium!
Beautiful project. Great job on the sound sync. I started to notice a pattern in the sound, but only because you told us and I was looking for it. Otherwise I would have never known.
Love the pearl white color .very nice project! Absolutely love everything about it! i did my countertops in that same base color(with veins and swirls of brown/stainless/fine flake.)people freak out when they see them!
When laying up the blocks for the bowl , you could have used almost half as much resin and blocks , by laying down a base layer , then placing a core in the mold , like a red Solo cup , then laying in your blocks and resin pretty piece
Yes sir, that was a way to go. I talked about in in the subtitles. I was out of pine for a waste block when I made this. As for the red solo cup. I am not a fan of doing that. Gives me no place to put the faceplate. I talk about it in this video. th-cam.com/video/Qg3blcb2WUQ/w-d-xo.html
Really beautiful! That pearl white is gorgeous and is a perfect contrast to the dark walnut. The entire piece is eye candy, the finial just sets it off. I was cracking up at the “This is me dragging a stick down my driveway.”😂 I love the added CC content. Us hearing impaired people rarely get a bonus.. mostly it’s irritated looks when people need to repeat themselves. Great job!
If we're doing confessions, I would never have noticed the sound because I watch woodturning videos with the sound off and the captions on when available.
Oh man I feel like you are rubbing it in. The last DQ in our county closed the other day. All I can think of is that it's my fault for not going more often.
Luv the walnut with the pearl. That came out awesome. oh and No - I didnt notice the sound even after you said something. Good job on the sync! Take it easy
Let's see if you can sneak THIS beauty past Leigh Ann and the grandkids! Or, work out some sort of barter with them. "You really want this? Okay, well, do you think you could take me down to the woodworker's shop and help me get tools, wood, resin and other supplies in exchange? Hey, this stuff doesn't make itself, nor does it come cheap!"
I didn't even give her a choice. I put it on the website right away. 😂😂😂Believe it or not, I don't ask to buy supplies for MPC. It has it's own account. 😳🤔😀
Ken, you never cease to amaze me. I didn't think this one would turn out very nice, but, WOW, it's beautiful, a real work of art. The contrast in the colors and the materials themselves, along with the swirls is striking. You outdid yourself on the lid! Another fascinating piece of art. It's always a pleasure to watch the progression of your work along with the suspense of trying to envision the end product! Great stuff! Thanks for all of your posts. Keep 'em comin'......... Edit...... Hey, Ken, I just scrolled through the posts of your creations. I didn't see one , but have you ever turned a bowl from assorted nutshells; walnut, almond, brazil, hazel, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, dried colored corn, that sort of stuff. Just asking.
First thank you for those kind words. I needed them this morning. So I have not done nut shells yet. But it sounds like a cool idea. I have seen pistachios and they looked cool.
Ok, well at first I thought you were going to make a base out of the thinner piece then the one in the cup I thought for sure it was going to be a stem for the larger bow to sit up higher kinda like a punch bowl. Glad you didn't do what I thought because it's a beautiful piece. Thanks as always for sharing.
If you are interested in this or any of my pieces head over to my shop moonpiecreations.com/shop.
I'm interested in them all. Now afford.... not so much.
It turned out beautiful 😍
I would love to see a dark wood like that with a copper colored resin.👍
That turned out very beautiful Ken I love it take care and stay cool
You too Mike and Thank you
I positively *weep* for all those who watched this video without turning on the captions first. That was awesome. Thank you Marjie, I appreciate this comment.
But they could go back and watch it again once they see your comment....just a thought 😊.
Truly beautiful! Love the addition of the top "knob!" Unique and exquisite! Love the color of the wood and the pearl resin. Excellent wood and color choice, design and end result!
Thank you so much!
I can see this with a plastic liner, ice and a bottle of champagne or other sparkling beverage. Just exudes elegance. Very beautiful.
Haha, cool visual. Thanks
Gotta love that Mother of pearl, it really knows how to show off the natural beauty
of wood. Nice peace, 😎👍👍👍👍🤓
It really does., Thanks.
Wow! That really looks great. The white and the walnut complement each other perfectly. The depth in the resin is striking.
Thanks Mark
It’s a coconut ice bowl. It looks like it should contain something expensive or exotic. I love it Mr Ken!
When I showed my wife she said "Ohhh elegant"
I knew that about Doug -- love the random facts here Ken, and the commentary - it's like sitting at one of those sports trivia bars lol. Beautiful project, thanks for sharing.
I have some good fact coming.....well I hope they are good facts. lol

Very elegant for a scrap wood bowl. Nice job.
Thank you very much!
I love this bowl! And I’m enjoying the captions…now that I know they’re there! Dragging a stick across the driveway! 🤣
Thanks Karen. I don't always have time to do them, but when I do I like to entertain.
@@MoonpieCreations we appreciate you! I can’t imagine doing something like this on a regular basis.
For what it's worth, I love the resin color. Awesome bowl 🥣 😊
Thanks so much 😊
WOW and WOW again!! That is gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
This is a cool piece and it has inspired me to do a similar project with walnut.
I would love to see the results.
A beautiful piece. Loved that the top matched the rest.
Thank you so much!
Love walnut wood! Love this jar!

Very very beautiful. Fantastic looking. I love it.

Thanks so much! 😊
That's pretty cool, Ken. The white gives it great contrast!
I was going to use a red, but for some reason the wood kept telling me "No, use white pearl." It's happy now and on it's way to it's new owner.
Turned out beautiful!
Thank you
Beautiful piece. Missed your voice but you got me with the sound effects, I’d have never noticed!! Fun facts too!
Thanks.
Totally Amazing!
amazing and incredibly beautiful pieces
Many thanks!
super work and colors wow
Thank you so much 😀
That’s gorgeous, Moonman!
Thank you Shaun.
When I saw Walnut scraps, I originally thought Walnut shells. That might be an interesting look also.
I saw a guy do a lamp with them once. I think his name is Groom or something.
That turned out really nice.
Thank you
Beautiful lidded bowl ♥️
Thank you! 🤗
Ok, admit it. You were having visions of s'mores, or count chocula...🤣 jk. I love the contrast. That pearl white is awesome!
A s'mores bowl or count chocula bowl 🤔hmmmm I wonder?
