One of my dogs brought me a baby crow this spring. I tried placing it in a tree again but the nest was 60 feet up very small diameter so it wasn't safe. I started feeding it like you and placed in a building I have where it's protected but available to parent's through large openings. The parents found the courage to enter the building and so we both were feeding it. A month later it was out with it's mom and dad but it still comes every day for food and water. The parent brought me a polished stone as a gift!
If a cat or dog brings a bird, make sure to get it to a vet. With cats, it certainly requires antibiotic to recover, since there are some very nasty bacteria in the saliva. If a bird doesn't get antibiotic within 24 hours after cat contact, it will die from sepsis. Dogs also have this kind of bacteria, but at a much lower concentration, so your crow was probably very lucky.
Hello l am Indian I am one of your very loved decades I have kept watching every single video of you your video is very peaceful and extremely beautiful
I found and raised a baby Satin Bowerbird (Australian bird). He was almost bald and hungry when I found him in the driveway. Dennis stayed with me for 2 years and eventually was rehabilitated back into the wild. He came back to visit several times including Christmas Day last year - 8 years later!! It changed my life and led to me adopting 3 unwanted parrots and becoming a bird photographer and general crazy bird lady. You are going to have so much fun with this little guy, they are so smart ❤
What a beautiful story. ❤ Thank you for saving little Bertram. Morten, you would make a wonderful father to any living thing. ❤. How kind of you to consider Bjorn’s feelings too. ❤
Wel, you don't need an alarmclock anymore :-) He will wake you up every morning. And he will make a mess of your dinner table. Just keep him indoors a few days until he is eating enough and gets used to you, and then slowly take him outside. He probably will stay on your shoulder the first time, and as time progresses he will wander and fly further around and get back to nature. Don't wait too long in giving him his freedom, otherwise he will get used to being a housepet.
I have been following you for years and think you are a great photographer as well as a good ambassador for nature and wildlife, but by adopting this beautiful crow you just leveled up to my favorite youtuber! Our crow has been with us everyday for more than seven years and its an experience you just cant buy. It's a family member although he is 100 % wild. He is beautiful, very intelligent and a lovely friend. Every year he comes with his offspring to show us: its as lovely as hard, we have to not let them get used to people in order to give them a better chans to survive. Good luck with this fellow and keep the good work up! / Hälsningar från andra sidan sundet
We watched crows raise their juvenile in our backyard for several months until it finally fledged. The parents fed it most all day long and took turns. It was great to see what good parents they were. When they both went in search of food, an auntie or uncle stood watch over the baby. Incredible.
I am so looking forward to seeing your new family member grow and thrive with you and Bjorn. You have done so much to make Bertram comfortable and included.
I ABSOLUTELY love the two of you in the same video Maybe we can see Don Vongun like all 3 of you did last year I think. Thank you for saving the baby crow 🙏🏻 Beautiful souls Bertram and Morten
Congratulations on becoming a crow dad 😁 Looking forward to seeing him grow up and find his way back in nature. And what a cosy home you have, love the natural interior and many windows looking out over the garden. You're very fortunate.

I hope that someday I will be able to make a small living from my photography, doing what I love most and living a simple life close to nature, just like you 🥰 Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your furry and feathery friend!

Two months ago i adopted a little baby - swift. He had some problems with a feather on his wings, probably because he was starving some time before i found him. I tried to keep him healthy and in a good conditions, but even with a good keeping and feeding it in time with a proper food - after first month with me he lost some of his feathers and it took some time to grow new one, for now it is still in process of growing. But the problem is - it is too late to free him, cause there are no more swifts left here in Ukraine and i have too keep him till the spring...It will be so complicated, cause it is hard to look after him and to feed him in time (it is easier for the grown swifts, only 6 food servings per day, but i still need to be at home with him cause it takes 30 minutes to feed him😥every time) And now I see Your video:) It cheers me up a little. I wish You good luck of growing Your new friend! P.S. If smb will read it, if You will find some bird (or any wild animal) - do not search a diet for it in the internet, there are a lot of sources with a wrong info. Just go to the specialist!
Hi, I’m a wild life rescuer from Italy, and you have right! Nutribird for insectivore baby it’s a normal diet, for baby crow, jay or magpie. @JoeMaranophotography What tasks can it do?
