- We kick off our tour across the country with our first visit to SMORR, another incredible off road park out in Seymour, Missouri.
This place has some true challenges with wet, loose terrain and huge inclines. Everyone found something to test their limits on. This was the first stop on a tour we're calling The Great American Crawl, where the goal is to wheel all the best spots in the country with new and old friends. Way too wide of a tire for this stuff. Very little contact pressure. That's why they slide and spin tires on everything.
I'm curious 🤔 it look like nobody else came up the Same trail 👣 as Fireball ? Bill , I gotta give a hand ✋ to ya ....That was the best damb driving, I have seen and one of the worst trails 👣 anyone has crossed...and , your friends should buy the beer 🍺 from here on out ? Was just there this past weekend and Holly is right about the traction...... plus it rained so it was a snotty mess in the rocks but we had a blast!!

I just got my TJ back from a buddy(long good story). Anyway, we use to have what we called the Crawl for a Cure for MS. A fundraiser for kids in need. Just a thought if your group is so inclined.

There is something off with Grdloc, it seems to struggle where I feel it shouldn't. I haven't decided of I think it is the sus articulation or if the wheelbase was over stretched but something isn't right.
Struggle isn’t the right word. There are times it seems like it should just roll over things easily but remember it’s a 20” wide 46” tall tire while it helps in height it hinders in approach at 100” wide it often hits obstacles and catches ledges different than a reg Jeep build. It sure is fun to drive though 😁
If i win we all getting at least a ride around the corner (cans do more since it might be over 100k miles if you add it up )
Don't know where those open lug tires, (MT Baja X and XS) work well but not on those trails. The Baja Boss and other more closed lug tires did way better. Can you say contact patch?
The open lug tires are probably better for deep mud.

Purely my opinion but I would give Gridloc a new engine, that thing seems like it keeps dumping on you. It was a cool to see a Cadillac engine in an awesome rig like that tho🤙

@@parkeryj3135 its really hard to beat the reliability of an LS. Just gotta keep in mind that gridloc is wheeled hard, hammers limiter, and gets put up wet 3 out of every 14 days of its life.. anything will crumble under that pressure. Hobby drag racers are doing constant maintance on their vehicles and only run them hard for 11 seconds a few times a weekend. Hope that gives some perspective.

I dont believe we did. A majority of this video was filmed Friday morning since there was a small group of us.. saturday the fans showed up in hoards and it took us over 4 hours to get the line of fans threw just two obsticles of rocker knocker.. later that evening we pulled together a select number of rigs to take on "cheap trick" ...
hey man, so watching this i noticed that your torque converter stall is quite high. would you not want to lower it so that your TC engages at a lower rpm? may be easier to wheel

I have a 08 rubicon and in 4wd and only in 4wd while turning there is a clicking/binding noise went to a jeep forum seems to be pretty common but no answer on how to fix the problem any idea it has a 4.5 teraflex lift on 35

Yes but in 4wd they have a load of resistance so they would click. In 2wd they are free spinning 😁
Ok i know i sound green with this reply i would agree 100% it was a famous problem on my 94 Wrangler YJ but on the 08 rubicon also has the teraflex front and rear straight axle conversion so no U-joint's up front? Could it be the front hubs them selfs?

Just my experience with them. It could be the area I’ve seen them most they didn’t perform as well as some areas.
