- This video shows the location of all hard to find secret areas in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. A secret area, also called a hidden room, is any hidden place found in the Kirby series. It is not in plain view, and is generally not expected to be found by the average player. In every world is a hard to find secret area that are not mandatory for Kirby to visit if he is trying to complete the game 100%. The secret areas in World 1, 3 & 6 are HAL Rooms, in World 4 is a secret alternate route, in World 2 & 5 are normal secrets.

It should be noted that the alternate Battle at Blizzard Bridge route does allow you to find all of the Hidden Waddle Dees, but each of the side rooms are more difficult. The Sword path has smaller platforms to drop the cone and Kirby onto. The Tornado path has icy platforms that sink faster. The Hammer path has smaller platforms and the moving walls pop back in place faster. The Ice path has a more precise jump that you need to make with Pipe Mouth.
…I have now regretted going to the alternate Battle at Blizzard Bridge.
@@GMKGoji01 Definitely recommended to take this on only later in the game when you’re able to upgrade evolved abilities.
@@Rexaura888 I mean…I have upgraded the Meta Knight Sword and the Morpho Knight Sword.
@@GMKGoji01 If you don’t care to do the side routes you should be fine with just Morpho Knight Sword. The big sword charge and a few swings should be enough to get you through each fight. Obviously not going to be enough if you pick up Tornado or Hammer.

I love all of the idle animations you do, it makes it seem like Kirby is actually just exploring lol

U don’t trigger them they are idle animations u sit there and wait

As someone who has been playing Kirby since the GBA era, I have to say that HAL is so sneaky with their secrets. I would not have known half of these secrets if I haven't gone out my way to look it up!😆
Found the 5-1 one without even really searching for anything and rather just speeding through, I guess that was neat.

You do not need to hit the lower switch to get to the 1-3 HAL room. Odds are, you'll have already hit it to get to the subroom with a Waddle Dee before making it to the goal.
I also love how in the third HAL room, they continue the 86 theme by giving you 860 cans of drink to shoot.

I love how you just wave at the Chief Awoofy. Lol this makes me want to replay the whole game and have a set rule where you must wave at all Awoofies and you have to spare every single one that doesn’t go on the offensive. I’ll call it the Awoofy run!
Edit: For extra fun maybe spare all the Awoofies that you aren’t forced to kill. Otherwise do not engage even if they attack.

@@SegaDisneyUniverse Lol I can’t blame you. 😅 Though the run is quite fun actually. I would even say it was challenging at some points. I’m up to World 4 right now and am about to do the Bridge Battle.
I’m so happy I completed the alternate Battle at Blizzard bridge without taking damage. The only room I managed to do in one attempt on the Alternate Battle at blizzard bridge was the ice room. I was so scared on that part. The platform was SUPER small
I found the Maxim Tomato in 4-4, but didn't know there was a path above it.
I found the path above it but didn’t notice the window. Secrets on top of secrets
As much as I like this game, I have to say I'm a bit surprised that there isn't a bonus level with Retro Kirby stuff at the end like there has been in the last few games, also, there isn't really a good level to grind for those gotcha capsules.
Other than that, this is an amazing game!

Or master the Kirby tilt and roll level 3 extra difficulty.
@@PoyoDreamer nah man if you plan to 100% you might aswell do arena cause youre gonna need the rare stones to power up the abilities anyway. or if youre only interested in the figurines you can trade the rare stones in for one you dont have at 100% rate.
@@PoyoDreamer You only get the big bundles of coins as a first clear reward under the time. Otherwise, it's grind Colosseum.

The only one I found out entirely by myself was the World 4 alternate route, because I had to find the Maxim Tomato for one of the missions anyway.
I found 5-1 by myself when I was playing the level for the first time. I was jumping around at the end to see what mission I missed out on. And I jumped behind there and was like, "Oh, is this the mission I missed?" it wasn't, of course
this game just keeps on giving and giving with the secrets
You can get stuck in the control room after the third HAL room if you don’t break the metal blocks to get the waddle dee first, but instead jump up using the blocks with the guy sleeping on them, which is enough to trigger the ladder outside to spawn
I was very close to getting 4-4's route on my first play of the level, i just didn't go through the window and in 2-2 I got the secret toom on my second pass trying to do the landfall on treasure island mission
Here’s an easy way to remember the 2nd HAL room: ID-F86 and the tour music. Found that out from another video, but I figure I’d help a little more.
If I'm being honest, I only knew about the Boss bridge alternate route from AntDude 😭

I found the one in everbay beach on complete accident. I was roaming around the first area of the level looking for the 3rd seabird when I miscalculated a jump and got sucked into the secret area.
I knew all the secret places but except the desert part I didn’t know that wow xD imma find it myself
Damn, I cant believe it. I went back all the way in 6-3 but not back through the entrance! So I just thought there was actually nothing.

The only one of these I was able to find on my own was the secret hotel one in the desert level

I always wondered why the hotel in the secret area #5 was not a side mission, aparently it is supposed to be a secret even tho is kinda easy to find (you can clearly see one of the fences is missing so you can get past the goal)
I found that secret area on 5-1 more easily.

0:37 i was 100%ing the game and noticed that, but i broke the blocks with the car, i tried to hover up there but couldn't reach it, so i just gave up. Also noticed the target but my shots wouldn't reach

Does anyone know what the significance of the number "86" is? Hal Laboratory was founded in 1980, and Kirby's Dream Land came out in 1992.
In Japanese numbers can be used as a shorthand for words, 8 = hachi => ha, 6 = roku => ru. Haru = HAL
what is 86 in terms of hal? in the second hall room u needed the time to be 86 and in the third the vending machine gets 860 cans
it has to do with how you pronounce it in Japanese, it's wordplay
86 = "haru" = HAL

You know that you can get a de- tour in the race you just have to get the cone and crack the crack and press the button for people who want to get 1st place

86 seconds or more to the Hal Room.
Because of 86, which is Haru in Japanese, which means Hal. That's the funny thing about it.
It makes me sad to hear the star allies theme again... its the first game I played together with my exgirlfriend and when we replayed it it also became the last :(

I accidentally found the mansion in 5-1 at the end of the level but then abondoned it because it had no waddle dees, no quests, no shit
Okay, without telling me the exact locations, can someone tell me which levels these hidden areas are in? Now that I saw this title, I have to know but I still want to find them myself. I’ve 100% the game but I’m sure I haven’t found all of these areas yet

I hate when things are hidden behind dying. It is like I’m getting punished for being good at the game.
@@Chibuga well it's a good thing it only gives you coins and the little gacha thing is just a normal pod that dosen't grant anything new.
@@Chibuga and no the game isn't punishing you for being good, the cyclones don't do that much damage and you can see this one leads into a unground tunnel. You just need to be a little observant. The game does teach you to look around to find waddle dee's after all
@@madre6970 I know you can see the underground tunnel but it is still punishing a good player. You should never hide stuff behind a player doing something they are supposed to avoid. Yeah there isn't anything significant in there, but the player still misses out on secrets just because they were taught to avoid those.
@@madre6970 and the game at no point requires you to be that observant. It is way too easy to find waddle Dees, thus making it too easy to pass over really well hidden stuff. Trust me I'm a very observation person. I've completed Crash Bandicoot games without using guides 100%. But this Kirby game had so many things in the open that I was trained NOT to look very hard for secrets because I was just wasting my time on most levels finding nothing.
I actually only found secret room 2 and 5. I didn't find the rest 😅
Finding all these exits in a normal gameplay is doable except for the 2nd HAL room it's too specific 😭😭 I had to cheat to find it

You *have* to wait 86 seconds or more for the Hal Room.
The fact is that 86 means "Haru" in Japanese and that's Hal.
