Sir, please make a video on how passive investing through etfs and nifty 50, gives an edge to nifty constituents only. That too in proportion to their weightage. This is actually breaking the basic function of the stock market. No matter how good a small or midcap company is it will never get the retail participant money it might deserve, just because our money in ETF and passive investing is going to adani Ambani and hdfcs only... That's Unfair and skewed
I have already addressed this. Active funds hold much more of Nifty than passive funds. The active fund are responsible for whatever you think is happening (I dont agree that it is)
Situation has probably changed sinve october 2022. Midcap and smallcsp funds have rallied in 2023 only. So part of AUM must have shifted to Non NIFTTY 50 stocks.
@@pattufreefincal I am just curious about the data, those who beat index, they beat just by a small margin?.If yes it will make further stronger argument in favour of passive funds.
Can't get sector allocation benefits with passive funds. Apart from cycical nature of equity, sectors within equity are also cyclical and passive funds will be limited to take overweight or underweight call on sector.
Hello Sir, can you please make some investing videos specifically targetted for young working girls/ women. Indian girls usually have very limited knowledge of investing and are totally depe dependent on the men in their families for thw same. Can you please create some videos that guide young working girls on how to begin investing in mutual funds, share, markets. The challenge that girls face is usually an uncertainty after marriage wether they will be able to continue working or not, most women even though earning well want to only invest in safe options. Please guide.
Sir nifty midcap 150 TRI index contains 100% midcap stocks while midcap funds will have around 65% midcap, 30% largecap and around 5% small cap. So does Nifty Midcap 150 TRI looks valid benchmark for midcap funds ? To me it looks bit skewed and I think it outperform midcap fund during bull run
Yes because that is the closest investible option available. The mix you mentioned (which is not valid for all funds and at all times) is not available either as an index or as passive fund
Patttu sir great to see you back again . Sir don’t you think the nifty 50 is skewed in favour of few large stocks ? What’s your take on Nifty 250 large midcap fund
sir your videos so informative. can you pls let me know on the following - will it be a good idea to invest my large sum of money in these 2 passive funds - nifty next 50 index fund and nifty midcap 50 index fund? i dont want to invest in nifty 50 index fund as the growth over the next 10 years will be more for midcap and next 50 funds? what do you think? pls advice. will wait for your reply
@@pattufreefincal if i were to invest for 10 years then nifty next 50 and nifty midcap will give better risk adjusted returns compared to nifty 50, isnt it?
Your videos convinced me to switch from Small Cap funds to a Nifty 50 Index fund and maintain my investment in it for long-term goals.
Rather better go for mid cap index fund. If you can take little bit risk
@@SMALLCASEPORTFOLIO I’ve added Next 50 and Mid cap 150 index along with Nifty 50. I will continue my investments with these indexes.

Quant small cap intrigues me . Unbelievable returns over years
😂
Just like Axis MF few yrs back, and HDFC before that. If a fund has done tremendously well in recent time be very cautious if not already invested.

Let's not be blinded by passive is outperforming active.... This is temporary.... but the stock market is dying

Nice informative video. Any data available like mutual funds that beat index in rolling returns, how many beat index by 1%, 2% or like that.
What will you do with it?
@@pattufreefincal I am just curious about the data, those who beat index, they beat just by a small margin?.If yes it will make further stronger argument in favour of passive funds.
Sir, is there any evidence as mutual fund size grows, they fail to bit index where as when it is small ,it can beat index?
They won't beat the index all the time regardless of size. We have evidence of that

Please compare Flexi Cap with Nifty 50.
Why? NIfty 200 and Nifty 50 are not too different

It is not necessary. That is the whole point of goal based investing

You are assuming the higher risk you take is sure to be rewared with higher returns.
