How to Pair JBL Free wireless in ear headphones by Bluetooth to a phone

- Showing how to connect the JBL Free in-ear headphones to your smartphone.
In case the headphones do not show up in your smartphone, you can try to press the button of the right ear piece for 5 seconds. This forces the headphone into pairing mode.
In case you can only hear sound coming out of the right side, then the left side did not successfully connect to the right side. Press the buttons on both ear pieces at the same time for 3 seconds to connect them.
In case you have problems with the LEFT ear-piece not working:

if you have problems like left side not working this is what you do, you have to pair them again to each other; disconnect from phone, turn off bluetooth on your phone, tern the headphones off by long press on both for 8 seconds then turn on by long press for 5 seconds. when its on press on each of the earphone 3 times then both should blink blue and white few times when its done it should work.

I did get to connect my headphones before and I even used them before but now when i take out my headphone (right one) I press it for 5 seconds and it does not connect to my mobile phone. What could I be doing wrong? In the meantime I still haven’t figured the headphones out completely which I am a little sad about because I would love to use them, but I was wondering if you or anyone reading this could help me out. I also tried following the instructions but when I press the right headbud it doesn’t light up like you said. Thank you in advance and great content! Hello, very useful video thank you. I would like to ask if we could have phone calls in stereo with this headphone? Every time , I am on zoom or skype it switches to the right ear-piece. When I listen to music both of them work.
Hello, this model does not support stereo calls. The behavior you experience is normal.

@Jay Smiles holy molly i love you thanks for the fast reply! the problem i still have is that when i take my right ear piece, i cant turn it on no matter how much time i press the button. The only way i can turn the right ear piece is if its in the case. I hold the button for 5 secs and it blinks white once then i click 3 times and it starts blinking blue. That's all i can do and it wont show in my bluetooth. As soon as i take the right ear piece out of the case it turns off. Hope i explained myself well.

Hello, I just got a JBL Free buds. I have paired both right and left buds. When I am playing music or TH-cam both earbuds plays well, but when I want to answer phone calls only the right ear responds, the left ear bud has never responded to my phone calls. Pls help!
If I remember right then that is how JBL implemented it. It never made sense to me. :(

Handsfree calls:
The JBL Free automatically switches from stereo to mono when making or taking phone calls. Voice calls will only come through the right ear piece for a more natural call experience.

How do you turn them off? When I place them back into the case they stay lit up. I assume that would pull energy and eventually drain the batteries?
HalferLand Video's they charge up and go off automatically. If you have them out of the case you can hold the right earpiece button for a couple of seconds and they will turn off

They work only with tje frist device only!
I managed to connect these to a second device using this tutorial. Pairing to the first device was significantly easier

I have the problem that the left earbud doesn‘t charge in the charge case (if I put it in it lights for few seconds and after that it turns out. And if I take it out from the case it doesn‘t turn on). The right one works flawlessly.

My left keeps disconnecting
These headphones SUCK. Left never works. JBL replaced them once and new pair is just as bad. I threw them away - I was tired of wasting so much time trying to get them to work. Bought a pair of AirPods (should have done that in the first place)!
Paul Roome they felt really comfortable, I always loved jbl, but jeez earbuds keep disconnecting. I ended up taking them back to Best Buy and exchanged them for the AirPods

I bought a new one today from amazon and the right one light turns off offer few seconds when I put on charging cradle. It does not show blinking light when I press the button on it seems it’s not charging when I put it in. Left one state on charging property, any ideas?
It sounds like the battery is defective from the start. I’d suggest returning them and getting a different pair of earbuds

That is very much the case. I found out it was not as bad with videos I had downloaded. Don't know why that is. But I honestly i do not mind. I think the main purpose of these are music, which it handles really well.

Hi, they will turn themselves off when putting them into the charging case.
Or you can press and hold the button on each earbud for more than five seconds to manually turn them off.

but I saw that the video makes a mistake when saying that you must hold the button for 3 seconds to connect the left side. In the manual (www.jbl.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dw4ad0d949/pdfs/JBL_Free_True_Wireless_QSG(Multi).pdf) says that you must press the button 3 times and the lights will alternate between blue and white

@@HaimKapuza that wont work for me. I turn off the bluetooth then turn off the earbuds, turn on bluetooth again, link the earpiece with the phone again and then try to pair them. The left one just wont work. They dont blink simultaniously either.

I think it can only skip to the next track. There is no fast forward.
