My favorite part about this video is the crowd of people around him cheering their asses off who don't skate. I love when society can connect to something like skateboarding as if they're watching their home team score.
This is great. I bet most of the people watching have never stepped on a skateboard, and even they realize something incredible is happening. Brings a tear to my eye.
Man this dude has some fuckin heart, I've stood on top of that gap and wondered how do people jump down this thing. Even running and trying to jump it on foot is just insane.
This shit takes a certain kinda attitude and you can see it in these dudes...Ishod, Reynolds, Theotis...theres a positivity that shines through even when the frustration is at fucking peak freakout level...like theres never a doubt. "If it takes me 3 minutes or 3 days, I got this shit." Fuckin madness that anyone would have the balls to dismiss skaters as anything other than warriors...battlin shit out on the daily for just that lil taste of glory. All hail Ishod.
i remember when he won all the haters were complaining because he doesn't go "big enough" for thrasher... the fountain gap may not be as high as some of the sets nyjah was hitting (for example) but holy shit do you have to be going fast to clear it.
+DownforceInc it took chris cole 60 something tries to tre flip wallenburg so just let the amount of tries tell you how gnarly this shit is. switch big spins are fucking difficult down stuff and going fast doesn't make them any easier. not ot mention to the ground rolling up to this thing is absolutely terrible and the landing is so slick that you can powerslide for a foot or two on one push
Wow man holy fuck. This is awesome I can't believe you did a switch big down this gap with a damn broken finger. The determination is what it's all about. You bring inspiration to us all.
Robert Hjelte It's mostly about the people who own that area not wanting to be liable for any injuries that occur there. They don't want some kid to break his leg trying to gap that set and then sue them because it was on the property that they own. It's stupid but that's the way it is.
NICKHAM16 theres the same risk of even to fall down and break your leg. its stupid but if you sue for that thats fucked and it like never happens. like if i was walking threw there tripped on the fucking stairs and broke my arm its the same liability.
+Treflops damn your right bro , but i guess when it comes down to it . If i go and do something on your land that you don't want me to do you should have the right to tell me to leave. I guess all we can do is sneak in there and sneak out try our best to get the tricks on lock before we even attempt them .
I can't imagine throwing myself down something that massive constantly until I get a trick. I fall a few times and I call it quits I could certainly learn a few things from Ishod, lol. Such a gnar trick, too.
Yeah I know. Im not dumb. Im a huge skate nerd. Im up on top of all of my shit. I just think its a little to early for him to get it. He became pro so fast it was crazy. But I just think Brandon should have gotten it for the crazy shit he has been doing. His 2 parts were amazing. "Made" and B sides of made" Nicholas Drummond
Ishod definitely deserved skater of the year no question, it is just a title anyways. With that being said Brandon Westgate's year was pretty fucking amazing.
i skated a gap like this before with a big crowd. ate it so hard 1st try on an ollie to embarrassed to try it again. this clip shows true essence of skateboarding and the determination it takes. sk84life!
Haha, hearing Ishod talk after tried like 'ahh the wind man' 'Wind came out of nowhere' 'the fucking cracks'.. I also constantly talk like that to myself when I keep bailing something
That is one tough dood just keeps gettin back up, breaks his finger, then his skate deck. uses someone else's board that looks half beat up mabe even and lands it haha amazing
My favorite part about this video is the crowd of people around him cheering their asses off who don't skate. I love when society can connect to something like skateboarding as if they're watching their home team score.
+Nathan Kyrouac how do you know they all don't skate, did you interview everyone and ask them?
+There is no death. Relax man. Relax
Mark Martinez i was screwing with him, man....i am perfectly calm, thank you.
To bad Philly sucks and closed love
Ppl love to see hardwork.
This is great. I bet most of the people watching have never stepped on a skateboard, and even they realize something incredible is happening. Brings a tear to my eye.
Bob Dole almost everyone at one point has stepped on a skateboard. I truelly believe it. Even some of the angriest of ppl also.
Bob Dole i have . woo hoo
Man this dude has some fuckin heart, I've stood on top of that gap and wondered how do people jump down this thing. Even running and trying to jump it on foot is just insane.
I love it how families are all watching, its a shame its not their anymore.
where did it go
Brian Panebianco
it got up and left....didn't you know?
Fucking soothsayer.

Still blown away about this one.
Man I see you everywhere I am on YT somehow haha. Hope you're doing well
I love the eruption of cheers when he lands it. Skateboarding always brings the happiness.
Ishod broke his finger down love and Chris Cole broke his toe at Wallenberg, both still landed their tricks!
Such an amazing moment when he lands it and everyone cheers
This shit takes a certain kinda attitude and you can see it in these dudes...Ishod, Reynolds, Theotis...theres a positivity that shines through even when the frustration is at fucking peak freakout level...like theres never a doubt. "If it takes me 3 minutes or 3 days, I got this shit." falta chris cole flip 360 reventon , flip frontside switch, flip backside , backside 360... Lml love park R.i.p
i remember when he won all the haters were complaining because he doesn't go "big enough" for thrasher... the fountain gap may not be as high as some of the sets nyjah was hitting (for example) but holy shit do you have to be going fast to clear it.
The old lady in red still walks the park asking for pictures to this day.
in-bloody-credible!!! after one bail my knees and achilles would be in dashed jolly tatters.. thanks for sharing this video, cheers!
'dashed jolly tatters'
Thank you so much for saying that wonderful concoction of words.
Lol
Someones British.
Chip chop cheerio!!!
who are you, ben raemers?
Damn he fucking battled for that. Probably felt so good to roll away from that
I just realized how this is the best example of persistence. Most people I know including myself would've given up but Ishod's nawsty and kept at it.
Unbelievable determination. Can't believe he tried it that many times. That must have been the most amazing thing to witness. My hats off to him.
Not counting the times he didn't pop, this is 60 tries. FREAKING. 60. ARE YOU SHITTING ME
DownforceInc i don't believe you, holy shit
Do u see how big that is and how fast he is going I don't think you can even Ollie down one of those blocks
Zach Hanus ?
+DownforceInc it took chris cole 60 something tries to tre flip wallenburg so just let the amount of tries tell you how gnarly this shit is. switch big spins are fucking difficult down stuff and going fast doesn't make them any easier. not ot mention to the ground rolling up to this thing is absolutely terrible and the landing is so slick that you can powerslide for a foot or two on one push
Obvious troll is obvious
Now go back to practicing your rocket kickflip, kiddo
Determine To Land It! Never Give Up!
such a good crowd everyone cheered
dude's got the tuck and roll figured out lol
I could feel the energy through the screen,it always helps when you have homies to cheer you on
I feel like this is a special kind of madness and a special kind of high that only skateboarders can relate to.
One of the greatest
This guy inspire me!
The first one he sticks at 3:03 was perfect..so perfect.
It's really cool how people are getting excited for the skater. Nowadays most people would just call the cops and tell you to leave.
Soulrunners1Freerun pretty sure everyone watching was a skater
bro go watch the video again there were definitely people there that werent skaters
Seth Rider and you know this because they're not carrying a board? Lmao
just such dedication!!
Holy shit, this hurt to watch. That determination is insane
Nothing beats the explosion of cheers from a Love Gap rideaway!
DETERMINATION AND HARD WORK ALWAYS PAY OFF
And this is why he won SOTY. Ishod has TRUE Dedication to skateboarding!!
reminds me of chris cole doing the 360flip down wallenberg, pure determination indeed!
this guy deserves an award for his determination!!
i am amazed by his resilience
I don't get what they're cheering about, I did this shit 2nd try on a penny board
***** Yeah I know it sucks :/ me and malto are just seshing Skate 3
***** Thanks to dyslexia I straight up thought you were about to send animal faces to EA, both would do the job though. Good play
***** they should make it so you can skate real life spots..like travel to philly and cali and china and shit...thatd be incredible
one of the finest utube comments ive read
I didn't even knew Anderson Silva was a skater.
watching this high af is a crazy experience
Wow man holy fuck. This is awesome I can't believe you did a switch big down this gap with a damn broken finger. The determination is what it's all about. You bring inspiration to us all.
GOOD WAY TO SHOW , NEVER TO GIVE UP , GOOD SHIT !
utterly amazing
He is the BEAST of the year, no doubt!
pure determination
Mad heart,mad love,Ishod wair.
ishod sweats so much he could fill up the fountain
Awesome. It would've been crazy if he accidentally landed one of those switch big heels.
that was so sick!
Seriously, why cant they allow Skaters to skate there? people are cheering for him and everything.. i real "crime" indeed
sweet next time i feel like robbing a bank ill make sure there are people cheering. that way it won't be a crime. thanks man!
Robert Hjelte It's mostly about the people who own that area not wanting to be liable for any injuries that occur there. They don't want some kid to break his leg trying to gap that set and then sue them because it was on the property that they own. It's stupid but that's the way it is.

Treflops That's why it's stupid lol
+Treflops damn your right bro , but i guess when it comes down to it . If i go and do something on your land that you don't want me to do you should have the right to tell me to leave. I guess all we can do is sneak in there and sneak out try our best to get the tricks on lock before we even attempt them .
So GNARLY 💯💯💯👏👏👏🍻
this guy's a badass. skating through a distraction like a broken finger is gnar
More people need to see the fountain gap in person and they'll realize how fucking HUGE it actually is. It is giant.
Mike Druce it's a lot smaller now. It's actually gone
Brian Panebianco RIP
"redo bro, forgot the lens cap on" 😂😂
Yooo lmao
That was freakin insane. Freaky enougg just trying to ollie it. But a big spin. Mad props.
I can't imagine throwing myself down something that massive constantly until I get a trick. I fall a few times and I call it quits I could certainly learn a few things from Ishod, lol. Such a gnar trick, too.
4:57 will always be the best high five ever delivered
i like how everyone was cheering for him
This is inspiring 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙌🏻
You'r the best Ishod
That was pure insanity.. It felt like I was there cheering him on... must of been such an accomplishment to land that.
I dont think he should of got SOTY, but that gap is big. damn...
I think westgate Deserved it more. Ishod is really really good but I just think Brandon should of gotten it for a number of reasons.
Filmer Ishod came out with 3 full parts and a throwaway part, and they were all super sick
"Made" and B sides of made"
Nicholas Drummond

Ishod definitely deserved skater of the year no question, it is just a title anyways. With that being said Brandon Westgate's year was pretty fucking amazing.

That was fantastic
persevera y triunfaras
love park...where crack heads can hangout and sleep but skateboarders are fined and boards are stolen by cops. damn that was gnarly.
When everybody around you feels the feeling he does when he lands it.. (:
I think hardcore miners would lift a beer for that kinda work. Proper hype stuff.
Damn! thats dedication right there
That would have been w perfect My War by thrasher
That’s a pretty big gap and hell yeah that was sick.
Almost wish he did switch big heel
The same time and number of tries would take me to do a kickflip off the same gap.... Props to Ishod man
goddamn.. those almost lands had me pumpedd
this is really amazing. been working on switch front biggies for over a year still can't get em! smh lol
in time 👍
hey, you get that trick nowadays?
East coast goes big while west coast goes home
Hollywood high and el toro are pretty big.
This is why they call it the city of brotherly love. Gets a bad rep but you’ll get the upmost respect if you’re going for something amazing.
For those of you that are not good at skateboarding, compare yourself with Ishod. There's nothing like the beauty of trial and error.
SOTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i skated a gap like this before with a big crowd. ate it so hard 1st try on an ollie to embarrassed to try it again. this clip shows true essence of skateboarding and the determination it takes. sk84life!
