Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the world's largest student ballet scholarship competition and global dance network, connecting students, teachers, schools, dance companies, and audiences worldwide. Now in its 22nd season, YAGP has reached more than 150,000 participants worldwide through its international ballet workshops, ballet auditions, ballet competitions, and ballet master classes.

The first one, Awakening of Flora, is probably the best interpretation I have seen in my whole life. The girl danced so beautifully! 😍
I agree! She was stunning, everyone was!
So musical! To be honest, she’s the only dancer I’ve seen who makes the opening steps totally make sense with the music and look not in the slightest bit awkward.
You should watch Ava Arbuckle perform this. She was even better in my opinion

I really loved the Raymonda variation! It was so clean! That control alone was worth 1st place in my mind

Flora was beautiful and she has great expression which not many dancers have these days. Technique is nice but it does not make a dancer an artist. Lower extensions and more expression is my preference:)
I completely agree :) Many dancers, unfortunately, seem to forget that ballet isn't gymnastics but is an art.
Well said. Many people interpret dance as a sport and that is sometimes why people forget about expressions. Especially in ballet, you have to truly use your body language and arms and head to express what the character is feeling.

I made awakening of the flora before but the music was a faster version and I didn't know so I danced in surprise then it got really fast and I was asked to get out of stage so like yeaa
