Sadly this was her last concert before she was tragically killed at the young age of 23. Her genre was Tejano music and was known as the "Queen of Tejano Music" but was also trying to crossover into the English Industry as a Pop Artist. I also agree with everyone and invite you to react to Selena's "DISCO MEDLEY" from the same concert which I am sure you two will enjoy. Thank You for your content and have a blessed day or night.
The last concert she did was on March 19 in Chicago. This one was the last televised concert I believe. So sad that she was taken away from us. My friend in Colorado just sent me a fleece Selena blanket with all of her pictures on it and I live in Iowa. I wish Selena could know how many people that don’t even live in Texas love her and are still watching her videos and listening to her music. 😢

@@michaelasay8587 I miss spoke, she performed on March 11 in Chicago Illinois which was my birthday and then she recorded in Byron Texas on March 19 both 1995. So the March 19 concert was her last one that she did. The Houston Astrodome concert was the only last concert that was televised.

She was nuestra reina, our queen. The baddest, hardest mexican would takr his girl to the fance floor when Selena comes on. No matter what. She was of the people. She was FROM us. 30 mins doen the road is whwre she grew up here in Corpus Christi. She would have lines of men to dance with at her concerts for a few steps. The smile and wave does it for me. I cant help but to choke up. She makes it seem like she is waving at you.
The fireworks was because it was the concert at the end of that night at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HUGE month long event).
This was back when things were still done in the Astrodome.
I got to see her 1991 performance at the rodeo…I have been a punk rock/metal head since very early, but I adored Selena.

The Netflix movie about her was really good. I knew very little about her, but she was amazing and a sweet person as well. You just have to smile watching this woman. She just had that positive vibe.
This type of music is called "Tex Mex" in this instance is more "Cumbia" Cumbia was very popular in Central and South US. (from mostly the migrant Mexican population arriving to the United States.) She is second generation Mexican and this type of music was born among them. I am so glad that she kept her Spanish!!!My favorite song from her is "No Me Queda Más".

She Was and continues to be the Queen of Tejano, Queen of Cumbia, queen of Latin Music. She holds many records, including Best Selling Latin Album of All Times to her Album Dreaming of you. She has 2 American Grammys, one from 1994 and another for 2021. Her movie made Jlo famous. If it wasn’t for her movie Jlo wouldn’t be as big. And now they have tv series on Netflix and YESTERDAY 8/26/22 she released a new album “Moon Child”.

I love your reactions. Me, like so many other little girls in that time grew up listening to her. She definitely made such an impact. Someone even put a life vest on her statue during Hurricane Harvey.

This was her last performance she was killed about three weeks to a month after.
This was at the Houston astrodome, and this concert was actually not just for her, it was tejano night at the Houston rodeo and she was allowed to sing there. She broke ticket sales and beat Michael jackson’s ticket sales for that venue. Fun fact: she didn’t have her ear piece in, it broke so that’s really just her singing as loudly as she could because she could t hear herself. Lol.

This event was at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that we do every year here in Houston. It used to be done in the Astrodome, now its done at the NRG Stadium built next door.
I was at this concert that day, it was a blast. It was so wonderful to see her perform live. It was actually the second time that i saw her there, she actually performed 3 times there, but i only went to 2 of them. We miss her dearly. Taken too soon. She will forever be queen.

Her voice, beauty, fashion sense, humbleness, dance skills, and her love of her fans makes her an icon figure, till this day. This song was at the end of her concert (that is why there were fireworks). You should react to " Disco Medley ", the beginning of the concert. Her outfit reminds you of Disco vibes because she started the concert singing Disco Medleys. Selena sang Cumbia, Tejano, Disco, Rock, R and B, ballads, Ranchera, Pop, Latin Pop, Country, and Polka. She sang in Spanish and English. She was the Queen of Tejano (Tex-Mex) music. Selena was a singer, songwriter, model, businesswoman, actress, fashion designer, spokesperson, public speaker. She was always accompanied by her Band "Los Dinos" which were mostly her family members. She passed at the age of 23. She was murdered by her the president of of her fan club, boutique manager and friend. The song "Como la Flor" (like a flower), was their first #1 hit.
They performed for over 66,000 fans in Houston Texas. She was killed the following month by her fan club president. I met her a couple of times. Such a humble person who never let her fame get to her. Love her and their music. Anything for Selenas 🎵🎬❤️
