I actually installed this while it sounded great on the outside I didn't care for the sound in the cabin. It's off now and just installed the Aero Turbine 3030XL Direct replacement... sounds so much better inside the cabin plus a nice mellow deep sound outside.
Wow great to here. Ya at times it did get a little obnoxious. Does it seem like it fits better also? It just seems like that right side doesn’t line up too well.
@@AndyTheXTech Fitment is about as good as you're going to get because it's a muffler replacement and you keep your stock piping and tips out the rear.
Yep exactly. I complain to Borla about it and they pretty much didn’t do anything about it. What I did was take a block of wood near the muffler in between the tail pipes and the suspension of the truck so the muffler wouldn’t move. Disconnect the exhaust mounts at the right rear. Lying on the ground with your feet up against the spare tire and pull down and out as hard as you can.
I have a 22 RAM 1500 6’4” bed. Borla touring catback. Right tip didn’t line up right pretty much from get go. Slight vibration now on startup after about 10 months with borla on when truck starts up. Frustrating cause it seems to be a common problem. Thinking about going back to a flowmaster (I had on ‘17 Laramie) but the borla sounds so much better
We did not it sounds great. Some people have commented that because of the cylinders shutting down I would sound bad but it’s fine. It is very loud so if you like that kind of thing it’s cool.
Andy, I'm having a lot of trouble with my passenger tip alignment as well. Once I get it sorta centered it moves back out of alignment after driving. It's hard to tell from the video, but did you put the blocks of wood against the passenger side pipe right where it comes out of the muffler and then yank on it?
Yeah sorry I should’ve got a better view of the wood. Yeah so I put the wood between the pipes coming out of the muffler and the suspension to prevent the muffler from moving when I was pulling hard on the pipe. Then lying on my back I put my feet on the inside of the spare tire and pulled out and down extremely hard I thought I was going to break something but it ended up lining up.
Well it’s definitely not quiet. It’s not a subtle difference. If you like loud exhaust it’s for you. I would compare it to a obnoxious mustang with a slightly deeper sound. Sounds good and loud. It will most likely drive your neighbors nuts. 🤣
Haha no this channel is mine I have to pay for these cars. 1A auto pays me to destroy cars. 🤣 👍 I do some burnouts here and there and drive these cars like I stole them but that’s about it. Thanks.

That's more my style haha sounds so much better! And yes lining up dual exhausts is always a pain. But you made it look spot on, literally looks OEM
I know. I’ve never had one line up as good as this one. But it wasn’t easy. Thanks man. 👍
Sawzall would save you some time and effort in the future. Awesome video btw! Music was good !
That exhaust sounds 👌👌
Also, love that Andy the x tech license plate cover lol
Ha ha thanks Dude! 👍
That’s a nice sound difference!
Ya it’s sick! 👍
I wish the 1500 rear bumper would fit the 2500 , I want to do this to my Heavy Duty
Ya it sounds great!
How do you adjust the tips? I got mine installed a week ago but they did a terrible job aligning the right tip.

@@AndyTheXTech can I just pull it without unbolting and the wood or will it bend the whole thing?
@@torredcat4395 you can try. you need to pull very hard.
@@AndyTheXTech ok thanks.

Did you have to re map the engine tune after the install?

@@AndyTheXTech Have your tips stayed in the position after driving around now or have they shifted out of alignment for you.
Is really super loud... I see people complaining about the volume... then saying it's so much louder then the video sounds?

@@AndyTheXTech thanks
@@Wannna_bet No problem. 😉👍
Do you have to cut the oem exhaust?
It’s going to be hard to get it out. If you have a lift it’s probably not to bad but easier to just cut it.
@@AndyTheXTech cool, appreciate the reply!
Are you destroying care like you do when you not to do this as in the engine bay video from 1aauto

@@AndyTheXTech you’re welcome it’s funny to watch if it’s not your car treat it how you want
What's the exhaust model number?
I don’t know the exact part number we did this about a year ago. It’s the borla S type system for the 2020 Ram.
