Thank you very much for loading this video, good clear instructions although does need 2 to push that clutch back to get the new belt in!
It can do if you don’t have the grip of a gorilla 😂
Hi ! Thanks for the tuto. Could you please tell me where the ground wire we see on the left of the transmission goes ? I don’t have this on my 2004 x8… thanks
Think it simply earths the engine to the frame
Maybe they moved it for ease of access
@@bikerdood1100 thanks 🙏🏼
Hello,
Thank you very much for this very educational video.
Question: since my belt broke, then replaced, my Piaggio MP3 300 (2011) has a lot of trouble starting. When it starts, it works fine, but I can stall at idle and come in pushing!
Do you have any ideas?
Well if it’s fuel injected possibly a sensor
If carb I’d look at the auto choke
Hello firstly thanks for the video I have a question if you could help I have a peugeot satelis 500cc and replaced my belt yesterday with a new belt my problem is now I have changed the belt the spedo takes time to show the speed iam travelling with new belt on but when I put the old belt back on the spedo works showing the speed iam travelling this is puzzling me I was wondering if this is normal because its a new belt and as to wear in the new belt is for my bike so I can rule out wrong belt and the sedo works from front wheel rotation so I can rule back wheel spedo drive thanks hope I haven't bothered you but allso hope you can help
How unusual. Changing the belt may affect engine speed so the rev counter. The speedometer usual picks up from a sensor on the front wheel so shouldn’t be effected
@bikerdood1100 can't understand it my self like I said old belt back on it shows walking speed of 5 miles a hour put new belt back on it does not show any thing until just over 10 miles a hour
TT belts don’t handle heat very well, they stretch and seam to not cool properly then start to slip,
I got one for my Yamaha scooter because it was cheaper than original, I then went on a 350 mile trip with motorway miles included, I managed to get home but changed it for original right away,
Did the same trip again with no problems,
On the bright side I’m in the Uk so heat ain’t often a problem. Interesting though
Brilliant video thanks 😎
I have the 2007 model
Is there a fuel filter 🤔
Oh
We don’t have it any more
But I think it does
Thanks for the vid. I have a piaggio xevo it's just started to make a dragging of feet sort of noise with loss of power. Any ideas on what it could be.
Most likely badly worn rollers and probably belt too
But the rollers can get noisy
Like you're worth making you do my better.
What ?
Buy malossi never snap. They kevlar belts are strong but a little shorter then stock.Hold rpm stable.
Yes they do
Trust I know that they can
They do have a longer life but the bearing surface can still break up just the same
Everything wears out eventually 😂
@@bikerdood1100 ofcourse thats why need to check them but i never had a belt snap.I replace it before the engine start to lose performance.
Well in fairness I would have left it unchanged but someone decided to take it to Holland at the last minute 🙄
I did say I can’t guarantee the belt but you know how teens are 😂😂
