Oh God, where do I even start with this? This man's trauma DOES NOT get talked about enough. He's always seen as a "happy guitar boy" or a "golden retriever" but the amount of things he has witnessed is honestly crazy. HIS BROTHER WHICH HE ADMIRED GOT CONVICTED OF MURDER AND WENT TO JAIL IN FRONT OR HIM. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH CLEARER I NEED TO MAKE THIS! And honestly, the fact that we get absolutely NO backstory on the Gavin brothers is absolutely sad. Although I see that most of the fandom agrees that their parents were strict/abusive/not present and Kristoph was seen as the "parent figure". I certainly see it that way and it ironically fits with the lyrics which t this so much. I've honestly been BEGGING for someone to do this song with them because it fits them like a glove! (Poor Apollo is traumatized after hearing all that)
The art, on the other hand, was AMAZING and the story telling very enjoyable, I must say. I genuinely seemed to be getting sad with Klavier because you drew his expressions so well and beautifully. All in all, great work! ❤
thank you so much for this thoughtful comment 😭😭 i agree that there's not enough canon exploration of klavier - i blame the "spoiler ban" that was enforced right after aa4 which caused him to get sidelined so thoroughly. And honestly i don't know if we need much more backstory for the Gavin brothers cause there's just so much subtext! how much klavier cares for kristoph, how he's tried to live up to the standard his brother set while still not trying to impose on his station as a defense attorney. and he gets NO time to process anything! what a guy! love of my life, klavier gavin.

@@seacanary No problem! I love watching serious animatics like this! It's honestly a bit disappointing that Ace Attorney doesn't get enough of those, considering that most of the cases involve murder/are part of a greater scheme that leads to that.
This is an amazing origin for the brothers klavier being protected every time he gets in trouble reflects rocker estetic with him living life on the edge and gavin lying and fabricating evidence like old enemies klavier realising this isn't healthy becoming a prosecutor so people can take accountability god this is amazing.

I wish the game had this level of backstory and emotion for Klavier and Kristoff. Their story deserved so much more attention that I feel the game missed out on

✨Wowwowow✨I love this animatic so much! 🤩 I just- the TRAUMA OW IT HURTS (I’m literally Apollo at the end there just internally screaming “BABES GET SOME THERAPY I’M BEGGING YOU!”) We don’t get enough Klavier animatics, and we certainly don’t get enough animatics exploring just how thoroughly traumatized my poor rockstar boi would be from being a teen star, and just EVERYTHING surrounding Kristoph! 😩 We don’t get enough animatics for all the games after the original trilogy in my opinion. I’m just happy he has Apollo to talk to at least. I’m PRAYING we get a Rise from the Ashes like case added in the Apollo Justice Trilogy port they announced that could actually give us at least a little more Gavin brothers backstory I’m BEGGING! 😫

Kristoff's negative influence and Klavier forming addictions to deal with it is no canon in my head. I can see Kristoff teaching his little brother that it's okay to lie to your parents and cover mistakes. I can also see Klavier going through hell as he learned the hard way that his actions have consequences
