- Today we visit two of Virginia’s famous Crown Jewels, McAfee Knob and Tinker Cliffs before walking back to Daleville. Fogbound vistas gave us a few laughs. In nearly 20 miles we had a wide variety of weather conditions.
I don’t think I could have been out on the rock ledge 😬 nice seeing all the wildlife. Hopefully you guys will have more sunshine in your future!
Beautiful “damp” day…loved the very sweet little red guy climbing the lichen on a rock…each step was sure and precise…my favorite was the extremely wet crow voicing his opinion of the “damp” situation. He needs to be framed! Stay safe
Love those Red Efts!
The red efts! I hadn’t seen them in three years. 😊
A very wet day for you but you made it! It is hard to get warm when you are wet. Dianne
Nothing a steaming shower and some good food couldn’t fix!
The rain coming down sounded like bacon sizzling on the cast iron skillet😅😅
Now I’m hungry! 🥓
All that rain on the trail is giving me flashbacks - 15 consecutive days. I'm glad you ended up somewhere dry and warm. How good did those showers feel?
The shower felt like a spa treatment!
Until you explained, I was wondering about Slider’s absence in the later part of the day, although I figured that someone would have said something if he had fallen off McAfee Knob…
🤣
I’ve had a stern talking to with Zeus about the rain!😂
It worked!!!
