Ingredients: 1 cup of rice 2 cups of water Salt (to taste) Instructions: Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer and then place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Add two cups of water to the rice, along with salt to taste. Cover the bowl with a lid or a microwave-safe plastic wrap. Make sure to leave a small vent for the steam to escape. Place the bowl in the convection microwave oven and set the watt power to 50% or 500 watts. Cook the rice for 10 minutes at 50% power. After 10 minutes, increase the watt power to 100% or 1000 watts and continue cooking the rice for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed. Once the cooking cycle is complete, let the rice rest for 5-10 minutes before opening the bowl. This will allow the rice to absorb any excess moisture and become fluffier.

Running a microwave oven for 15 minutes for two cups of rice. is probably not very effective; the microwave oven eats electricity with about 1200 Watt at a 700 Watt setting; probably reasonable way to cook smaller amounts. If you have an inductive oven: heat rice and water until its boiling (some 3 minutes or so), then immediately stop, wrap the pot in a towel and put it under a blanket, and let it simmer there. (additional benefit for winter evenings.) The efficiency factor is better, but you have to heat the pot as well, takes up more heat than a glass bowl; but most importantly, a few minutes are enough. If you have a conventional oven, it works the same way, but a bit slower, but still not running it for entirely 15 minutes. I will need to try, how well it works to boil up in the microwave and then simmer it under the blanket.
Nice thanks...for this video.. It is useful for me
