  • Check out our new camper! We traded in our 2400bh for a brand-new Grand Design 2910 BH. See exactly why we chose this model and didn't go with the 2800bh. Campin it up!

    YO...nice bumper puller and HD Truck! This is your good neighbor watching the RV showdown. Very nice rig and good specs for the truck. Wishing you all Happy Holidays and the tall mans check is still in the hands of our most dependable vote carrier. I like the dog kennel too.

    Great job on the video guys. I just stumbled on to this as my wife and I are contemplating getting this trailer. Glad to be a new subscriber. ❤

      Did you guys end up getting a camper?

    We did the same thing last month. We had our 2400bh for 2 years, loved it! But we needed to upgrade in size. The super slide on the 2910bh makes a huge difference! Great video!

      @@CampinItUp Is your new GMC the AT4? Also, is it gas or diesel?

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a gasser, had opportunity to get diesel but went with gas based on towing needs and gas/diesel prices lol

      @@CampinItUp I have a 2022 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 Liter. We pull Parleys canyon a few times each year here in SLC Utah! It did great pulling the 2400bh, we will see about the new trailer! 😅

    We upgraded to the Imagine 2910 20 months ago, love the layout. Unfortunately discovered a leak last weekend while at dump station. Have to remove underbelly to expose everything and find leak…Ughhhh!!! We had a different leak 3 months ago in cargo area…a screw fitting that had come loose. Grand Design quality control, where are you??

    Glad I found your video. We have two boys and we’re on fence between 2910 and 2800, i think you pushed us over the edge to committing to 2910. Did you go gas or diesel on GMC 2500? I’m also getting either Chevy or GMC 2500 and would be curious if you went 6.6 gas engine what your fuel mileage is with and without camper behind it?

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the 2500HD AT4 gas engine and it pulls great. Average is around 14mpg towing but had 27mpg just cruising, not towing. Went with gas based on gas vs diesel prices per gallon and still happy with my choice.

      @justinb8584 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CampinItUp I’ve heard that 6.6 gas (L8T engine) is bullet proof, you made an excellent choice. Is the camera you put on back of camper, to use with the truck, one that you got from GM or something aftermarket or something that came with trailer that just happens to work with the GMC 2500?

    • @CampinItUp

      @@justinb8584 GMC specific camera. Instead of having an after market camera, this camera plays directly on Factory screen and works amazing! Used to have furion camera on previous campers/trucks and this one is fantastic.

    Damn dude love this but I have a f150 3.5 eb. It’s a capable truck but you’ve given me a bit of hesitation

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว

      That can tow like 14k lbs right? It can tow no problem. 3/4 ton is just bigger and feels more stable..

    • @kbcoggin
      @kbcoggin ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CampinItUp The F-150 would be really tight on the payload. I wouldn't tow that big of a rig with a 1/2 ton strictly because of payload. Tow capacity would be fine. Payload would not be.

    Do you still like the camper and how has pulling a much longer trailer been? We have a 29’ and are looking at this model to possibly upgrade but the extra length gives me some pause. Great video!

    Having three kids makes it super tough to find a RV with a half ton towable.. What are your thoughts on converting those bunks to a triple bunk? doable?

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s possible, would have to get in there and reinforce. Table also folds down. Also depending on how old kids are you could get 2 in a bunk

    If my truck can tow 8900 lbs max, you think it’s ok? Why did you have to go to the 3/4 ton?

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว

      We had an expedition that had a capacity of 9300lbs and did the math and it would be pushing it. 3/4 ton is the way to go, super smooth.

    What did you tow your 2400 with?

    • @CampinItUp
      @CampinItUp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First I towed with a 2015 Tundra (11k lbs) then purchased an Expedition with tow package (9300 lbs) for extra room. Both towed great
