5.40 secs: When Usyk fought Gassiev, the reason there was no rematch clause is because that fight took place as part of the World Boxing Super Series, which both fighters signed up for. It was not a pre arranged fight, they both happened to get to the final and had to fight in a one off. Like a boxing FA Cup final.
Exactly, warrens just trying to get the casual boxing fans on his and fury’s side. Undisputed heavyweight title should always have a rematch clause. Fury just wants everything his way like a spoilt child.
But they have been given what they want. Frank was very clear in his interview what was sorted and what was not...Alex Krusyuk was not clear...just going on about the 70/30 and the rematch clause. The 70/30 they accepted ( I think they got 20%in the first AJ fight), and Fury even conceded the rematch as well, but Usyk still pulled out. How is that Fury's fault?
@@zeeadams121 because usyk was willing to concede to having only 30% of the purse but as frank said, fury wanted 50-50 for the rematch if usyk wins. In this scenario usyk will be the unified heavyweight champion for the first time in 20 odd years. In the AJ rematch usyk would have only had three belts. Ultimately usyk compromised so therefore fury should compromise and give a unified usyk the lions share in a rematch
@@theshiv3296 Fury demanding 50/50 in a rematch would be very reasonable, as a global superstar, most boxing fans, around the world would be even more interested in the fight, to see if Fury can regain the title. But if Usyk wanted 40% -50% for the rematch after a loss - that would be totally unreasonable - as he is nowhere near a global brand as Fury is. Outside of the UK ( because of the Joshua fights) and Ukraine, he is not really a superstar boxer - so wouldn't carry the same financial muscle like Fury and AJ. He is boring, has no knockout power at heavyweight (and even though he is a very very good boxer) - he isn't as good as heavyweight, as people are making him out to be- AJ made him look good because he was gassed out.
@@zeeadams121 I’d probably disagree that fury should get 50-50 for the rematch if fury loses. 60/40 for usyk you could have grounds for. If usyk loses the first time around then of course if there is a rematch clause for him then usyk should only get 20% or something. Fury may be the bigger draw now but if he loses then he loses a lot of credibility and usyks stock goes up infinitely
@@theshiv3296 When the negotiations are done it is the in the "now" and Fury is by far the bigger name now and in the future. Even if Fury lost it is the manner of the loss that matters. If Usyk scrapes a controversial split decision for example - Fury's stock does not diminish at all - if anything people would be even more keen to see him defeat Usyk in the renatch. He is undefeated and one loss is not the end of the world. Most of the all time greats lost fights, and avenged thier defeats in rematches. So lose to Usyk ( whilst a hiccup) would not be devastating for Fury. But I think the problem was Usyk was asking 70/30 for the rematch - which Fury (rightly) wouldn't agree to - so Usyk pulled out.
Fury never wanted this fight and it was plain to see to everyone because fury thought when he offered him 70 30 he didn't think usyk would take it when he did he went mental with insults

Would love to be a fly on the wall when team fury are putting forward their British judge selection for discussion! Franks shoulders would be going into overdrive! They had to negotiate hard with Eddie to get a British, neutral and a Ukranian for AJ fights. Frank probably expecting them to accept 3 British judges and British referee, phonebox sized boxing ring, hotel in some shite area the other side of London and Fury to have a 30 minute ring walk or something ludicrous!
Will be interesting when you ask Frank why he said Fury has flown his trainer Sugar Hill in. When Sugar has flat out contradicted him. Saying he is here for Okolie and was just using Furys gym. Flight already booked back to the states for 28th March.
@@rooibaard365 When Frank admitted in this interview it is about the purse for the rematch. It sounds like Fury objected to Usyk getting more money for the rematch than 70/30 split . Nothing to do with Fury. They got 20% for the first AJ fight. Fury offering him 30%. Fury didn't want the rematch clause but Usyk did - and Fury agreed to it. Frank said both teams had agreed on everything else, eg ring walks, which corner of ring, hotels, flights, teams etc... But the issue is - unlike the AJ fights, Usyk knows he can't beat Fury...and so has pulled out and his team have blamed Fury, to deflect blame from themselves...and thousands of naive fight have fallen for it...😂
I don't think any of them wanted that fight in December. Hearn didn't want AJ going in there, AJ wasn't ready after back to back defeats and Fury saw his chance to troll him and did it! Fury is an absolute clown that needs to shut up and focus of fighting instead of throwing around ultimatums on social media.... It's boxing not WWE 🙃
What Frank is not telling everyone is that Usyk negotiated a 50/50 rematch while he was mandatory challenger before he won the belts off AJ. Now he is an unified champion with 3 belts having beaten AJ ( who was the cash cow of the division) and is in a much stronger position as an unified champion to negotiate a better rematch clause against Fury. Frank also keep talking about how Fury is the cash cow and deserves the majority share which is fair enough. However, few years ago he came on Talk Sport demanding 50/50 for Fury against a potential fight against AJ when Fury had no belts and coming off a 18 months drug ban. You can’t have it Both ways Frank.
So the rematch clause was in the original contract and Fury wants it removed. He's also ignore Usyk's acceptance of 70/30 on the condition he donates £1m to Ukraine's fund appeal. Sounds again like Fury wants everything on his terms, dictating to the guy who has 3 belts.
@@ots1634 Yep, which according to frank is the same as AJ, which was 50-50. I doubt fury would give that. He's become the dosser he accuses others of. 😂😂😂
@@ots1634 Usyk's manager also implied Fury had ignored the one concession Usyk wanted which is the £1m donation. Considering Usyk has already accepted a low ball offer, Fury still ignoring one concession is pretty ridiculous.
When you actually consider what Warren is saying it is truly incredible. Usyk accepted 70/30 in Fury's favour, but now that's not enough - that's the bottom line. Any reasonable fan of the sport knows it should be 50/50 split anyway. Boxing is the loser because the sport is dictated by greed and ego and bs.
Fury is putting one belt on the line and Usyk is putting four belts on the line . So the boxing public thinks the WBC belt is worth more than the IBF and WBA ???. Let's talk more about the worth of the belts !! They are both fighting for the belts so it is the belts that should hold the value not the boxer !!!. . Boxers come and go the belts will always be there !!! So let's start to put a value on the belts !!!!
@@realife1542 it was Frank in the first place who said if you want to make this fight it's 50/50 and it's easy to make. So why are they shocked that they've massively moved the goalposts and now it's difficult
Plenty of fighters dating back to the eighties that to this day still haven’t been paid by Frank would testify that he is to blame for a great many things.
There are three reasons why I want this fight to happen: 1. I want to see Usyk fighting (70%) 2. I want to see Fury fighting (30%) 3. I want to see Usyk fighting against Fury (100%) It's just as simple as that. And it's definitely not all about Fury.
I think Usyk should be fighting Russians on the front lines for his country. I'm surprised they have so much time to put into this when that's going on.
After Usyk called Ducks bluff, Duck came out and said about the rematch, saying "ha! Accept that!" The way that Duck said that gave away his plan; Fury didn't want him to accept, the same as he was hoping Usyk would turn down 70/30. He has been trying to come up with stuff that Usyk can't accept!! Fury is a fraud. Boycott Duck Fury.
Frank's all over the place.. Issue here is that Usyk agreed a 70/30 split with a rematch in place and the security of 2 fights. Once that split was agreed, Fury pulled the rematch away from negotiations.
Wow, great JOB from the Talksport guys!!! I have never heard a negotiation of this level on radio, and having the two promoters firing at each other like that in my life! Keep up the good work!
Fury & Warren think they are clever, if you don't want the rematch, then you have to negotiate the split again. They agreed on the split based on the terms at the time. The question is, why did Fury add more obstacles to the deal? We can't accept Usyk to agree to things every time. But I really hope it gets made
@@inityo what at a fucking mandatory split??? A mandatory is entitled to 25-30% of the purse of a fight with a single belt holder, usyk brings more belts to the table than fury so should at least be entitled to 60-40 no matter how many more ppv’s people reckon fury will sell over usyk. Let me repeat, USYK HAS THREE BELTS AND FURY HAS ONE
If your boy fury who apparently doesn’t fight for money would just accept a 60-40 split in his favour we’d have a fight. Absolutely shameless from fury and his fans defending him
retard he accepted 30-70 with a 70-30 in the return if he won, Warren just said they will offer the same deal Usyk accepted with AJ. seems like they all trying to play mind games, Fury is the master of it tho. So either they concede or the fight dont happen.

Now he will fight Dubois...and get 70% in his favour of say £20 million fight.

Frank was prepared to cover the 1M in a side bet if Tyson lost.

Shut up mate. Sherlock
Usyk’s team have been negotiating this fight since last summer. I don’t blame them for moving on
But they have been given what they want.
@@zeeadams121
I’d probably disagree that fury should get 50-50 for the rematch if fury loses.

That isn’t what was said in this video, it is the split in the rematch which is the issue

Boxing is the loser because the sport is dictated by greed and ego and bs.

Fury & Warren think they are clever, if you don't want the rematch, then you have to negotiate the split again. They agreed on the split based on the terms at the time. The question is, why did Fury add more obstacles to the deal? We can't accept Usyk to agree to things every time. But I really hope it gets made
Nah because you are blind
No, you don't need to renegotiate the split. Just accept the fair level playing field of no rematch
