When I was 18 in my youth group an older lady friend of mine said: I can tell who will be the jerks and who will be the good husbands in this group. Twenty years later she was totally right. The interesting thing is that all the girls liked the jerks and they all married before they were 25 years old. The nice Christians guys took longer to find someone because they were not as popular as the jerks. What I am trying to say is that many women marry the jerks, knowing they are jerks and than need to go to all kinds of seminars and sermons by Jimmy Evans. Had them married for the right reasons they would never need this sermon.
If you fight, agree to a set of rules, so if you do fight, you are NOT totally UGLY. 1. Do not scream or cuss. 2. Do not throw stuff or hit, bite or scratch. 3. Do not call names. 4. Do not withhold sex as a weapon with your spouse. 5. Try to see everything they do In a good light. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

Today I substituted for a 4th grade. One of the 3 classes was a very hard and challenging Group. i Encouraging words I needed to improve on. The short messages given are encouraging and uplifting.
Hurt kids grow up to..hurt other people..We are now looking at a whole new generation of hurt people....rebellious, verbally vicious and abusive...! God help us...
Words and actions must match. Sometimes they don't because we are trying to discover our true desires, but your family should not pay for indecisiveness. It's okay to be lost and need someone, but there needs to be an eventual return (more than financial). Love is give and take. The best policy is to give love whenever you can.
I need help from mr evans my wife asked me to leave our home in November. We were having devotions everyday until the day she asked me to leave I was shocked by her decision
This is the way I handle my anger and my father-in-law says that because of that I don't have the Holy Spirit in me at all or of my life. I said I disagree because it was put in God at the center of my life and excepting the Holy Spirit that God through the Holy Spirit has been able to show me that this is wrong for me to do. After several years I do much better then I did before I excepted this as a problem. For whatever reason God didn't take it out of me immediately and it's the two steps forward one step backwards process. He said no no no because I am working on it means that I am doing it mechanically and not letting God do it. So I countered with that argument taking our free will out of the equation. He's telling me to pray and God will do everything else, but if I'm not mistaken, once you except God and the Holy Spirit and except his conviction it is up to YOU to decide to follow God's word and repent. Did I miss something?
