This has helped me identify a lot of different modifications on mine done previously by a past owner, thanks for making these videos, liked and subscribed 🎉
Ah ye thank you for the video Nathan. That Caddy Maxi was a great buy. Really like the interior upgrades - the colour change of the centre console has made a massive difference 👌.
Hey Karl thank you sir 👍 Rowan’s super happy with it, is nice to start with something clean. I’m going to do all the plastics on my T5 very soon to smarten the inside up.
Great job Nath and another top video! My old standard 09 plate Caddy SWB had carpet in the rear and rubber in the fronts too - must’ve been a weird phase VW went through 🤔
Wow are you sure that van har been on the road it is absolutely unbelievable, if you had taken the seats out before you made the video you would think that the van was brand new and never used. The plastics on the inside are absolutely mint. By the time DTE TV has finished with this van it’s going to look mint. This must be one of the best caddy’s around, this one has been looked after by a very careful man
the drinks holders and carpeted footwells behind the seats probably means there was a second row of seats there that's been removed. There seems to be either an MPV (with a 3rd row as well) or Combi config on the caddy maxi.
Hey Richard it was nice to meet you to sir 👍 maybe one caddy meet you can jump in with Billy and come down. Is a nice evening I’m sure you would enjoy it 👍
Finally got started doing the Touran rears in my Caddy. What a nightmare prying off the sound deadening from the floor to prep a weld in the brackets 😂 Can’t be bothered putting the seatbelt reels inside the pillar like you did on yours Nath, I’m just going to mount the externally. My Caddy had carpet in the rear footwells as well mate. Mine is a SWB.
Hey bud ah man it is a full on job for sure some of the spot welds can be a pain to get out. The seat belts externally look good to they look factory that way I was just being a tart for the videos 😂. I guess some have carpet and some have rubber mat, just the first one I’ve seen 👍
Can some one help with seat heater connection? A have 2009 caddy and 2005 touran seats. 09 caddy have only one heater relay, touran seat have relays on each seat!
Hi,I'm about to tackle electric windows on my caddy using touran cards etc. Apart from adding power cable did it need coding or similar or was it just straight forward? Thanks.
Fantastic video mate. I'm at a similar stage with my Caddy. Do you know what wires you need to keep when converting from a 4 window switch to a 2 switch?
Hi Nathan Loving the videos as always Keep them coming Quick question for you I have 2013 caddy Radio aeriel that’s in the mirror stopped working I’ve put a CarPlay stereo in it and added a cheap Chinese aeriel on the screen It’s garbage Would you have any recommendations for a decent aeriel I could get to make it work better ? Or anyone else reading this any ideas ? Cheers Alan
@ hey Andy no problem at all and awesome I’m always there so see you then. Billy Neal at caddy enhancements has always got doors cards or electric windows and he will have a set with the same plug as yours. Tell him your from DTE TV he’s super helpful 👍
Hi bud I did change the metal plates so all the bolt lined up with the handle but my other mate has got caddy plates and one bolt lines up to hold the handle 👍
I have a question I want to buy a caddy Maxi and put seats in the back like the video once you have put the seats in the back do you have to send your log book back to DVLA to tell them you have put seats in the back or is it just as simple as just putting them in and that’s it thank you
Hi bud I just put my seats in and havnt mentioned anything, most other people I know that have done the conversion didn’t mention either it’s just a case of all seat belts working correctly for mot time 👍
Hey Nigel, I just use a piece of thin hose and pump away. Sometimes getting the first bit of air out is a pain so I have a pressure bleeder to push it through. Hopefully you sort it mate 👍
The £70 lead has canbus in to trick the bcm so it shuts down. The £15 lead will stop the BCM from shutting down and over a few days of not using the van will flatten the battery.
Hey bud thank you 👍 it’s surprising how tidy it is I see so many slightly older caddys and they have little scuffs and marks everywhere, someone looked after this one.
Hey bud I do still have it, only problem I have it needs a lot of parts for it to be good enough to give away, clutch flywheel, wishbones, cv boots, hand break cables and that’s a small list. I’ve been collecting parts over the past 6 months it will be back 👍
My MK4 Caddy 150BHP Highline is fully loaded even has climate control but VW have been stingy as have bare metal noisy floor behind the seats yet the front is carpeted which was an optional extra as I ticked every box I could during the build programme.
BLS really isn’t as bad as gets made out. It’s like the crank hub spinning on the S55. A couple go and they get talked about online, next thing people think nearly everyone one of going to fail.
@@Mac_F87 mine was a bls spun bearing that killed the crank and 2 of my mates had the same problem and all serviced regally with the proper spec oil. bls, bxe, bjb, bkc, bxf all of these will and do give up the go and all of them have very thin crank bearings
@@maxthecaddy8451 bought a 2008 Caddy with 143k miles in the clock. Seen all the fuss online about BLS engines and spun bearings/rods coming out the block. So thought I would do the bearings to see. The ones I took out looked in decent nick. Van was serviced more or less every year since it was new. Apart from the first owner who was obviously following a LL service schedule. I’ll wager a lot of owners and garages don’t put PD specific oil in either which will play a factor in them eating bearings and lifters/camshaft.
This has helped me identify a lot of different modifications on mine done previously by a past owner, thanks for making these videos, liked and subscribed 🎉
Keep your videos coming Nathan I am slowly catching you up 😂🎄

Enjoyed this one , nice looking caddy and good price paid , looking forward to Andy’s have some more done to it .
Hey Michael thank you mate 👍 Andy’s is at the top of the list we have lots bits for it.
Great job Nath and another top video! My old standard 09 plate Caddy SWB had carpet in the rear and rubber in the fronts too - must’ve been a weird phase VW went through 🤔
Dry interesting vid … great presentation. 👍

Hey conrad it is a very clean van throughout someone has definitely loved and cherished it for most of its life, really good van to start with 👍👍
the drinks holders and carpeted footwells behind the seats probably means there was a second row of seats there that's been removed. There seems to be either an MPV (with a 3rd row as well) or Combi config on the caddy maxi.
Top work again Nathan. looks like it was someone^s baby, mint!! 😘😘👍👍
Loving the Caddy content again! Quality as always and I'd love to see that rear camera install if you're doing one on your Caddy.
Hey bud thank you 👍 I was impressed with the camera thingy, wasn’t hard at all to do so will mention it when I fit it into something of mine 👍
My facelift caddy maxi is the same, carpet behind the seats with rubber at the front.nice upgrade, makes the interior much nicer!
Hey bud I had only see rubber front and back I wonder if it’s was some option or what, definitely looked nice than the rubber stuff 👍
Looking good in the caddy max, nice to meet you all at Billy’s, hope to meet you again
Hey Richard it was nice to meet you to sir 👍 maybe one caddy meet you can jump in with Billy and come down. Is a nice evening I’m sure you would enjoy it 👍
Another great video Nathan 😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nice job, looks much better inside 👍
Thanks Neil 👍
Can’t find the link for electric windows, with the original cable. Enjoying all the videos! Keep it up! 👌🏻
DTE lovely job fairplay you nows ur stuff 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you mate appreciate that 🙏👍👍
Cracking job mate get well soon
Thank Andrew appreciate that mate 🙏👍
Hi mate great videos . Did you have to re wire the door modules as I’ve seen videos that this is required on the facelift version of mk3
Nice interior, looks much better!
Thanks bud 👍

@@YTDTETV nothing wrong with being a tart mate! 😂
Good buy there boys going to be a nice van when finished 👍👍
Hey Thomas thank you 👍 is nice to start with something clean rather than a beat up old work van.
Nice one mate, looks proper!
Thanks Nathan, take care, peace.
Yes mate been waiting for more of your video
Hey George I have loads of videos to come just need to feel abit better 👍
i,m enjoying your stuff mate.
Thanks mate 👍
Nice transformation Nathan when you fit diesel heater will be good see some have WiFi Bluetooth connectivity but 8kW 5kW which one makes sense ?
Can some one help with seat heater connection? A have 2009 caddy and 2005 touran seats. 09 caddy have only one heater relay, touran seat have relays on each seat!

Thank you francis 🙏🙏
hi what is the part number for the wiring loom i cant seem to make out on video
1800...touch on that Nate mate,...is it moon miles ....loving these economy mods superb content.....got the same van..with a pd130...
Hey bud yes I was surprised on condition for money, it’s got 200k on the clock. If the engine ever goes I think we will put a pd130 in 👍
I've got the same van, original seats in very nice condition so i havent changed them but they are very firm
Hey Lee was surprising how longing the seats where when the rest of the van was so tidy 👍
When you put the seats in the back do you need to weld anything to secure the seats to the chassis or is it trust a bolt in job thanks
Hi,I'm about to tackle electric windows on my caddy using touran cards etc. Apart from adding power cable did it need coding or similar or was it just straight forward? Thanks.
Great video thanks, do you have an ebay link for the power feed wire please
As always enjoyed that, Thank You
Hey bill thank you sir 👍
Love the vids . Is there a way to convert the orange lights on dash to blue ones ?
That’s one clean machine. Good buy
Thanks Lee I was impressed with how clean it is for the money 👍
Fantastic video mate. I'm at a similar stage with my Caddy. Do you know what wires you need to keep when converting from a 4 window switch to a 2 switch?

Quick question for you
I have 2013 caddy
Radio aeriel that’s in the mirror stopped working
I’ve put a CarPlay stereo in it and added a cheap Chinese aeriel on the screen
It’s garbage
Would you have any recommendations for a decent aeriel I could get to make it work better ?
Or anyone else reading this any ideas ?

Alan
You got the link for the wire mate? Cheers
Have you come across where the caddy original plug doesn’t fit the touran loom plug ? Mine are different 😢
For the seats? A lot of caddys don’t have any wires, you can just cut and join them but make sure you unhook the battery 👍
@ for the electric window upgrade I have a gen 3 plug and my touran has a gen 2 plug I’m struggling to find a picture of how I repin them ☹️☹️
@ I havnt see the gen 3 stuff mate I’ve only seen the earlier stuff I’m sorry 👍
@ no problem mate thanks for your reply me and some mates will be coming from Northampton to the caddy meet soon 👏🏻
@ hey Andy no problem at all and awesome I’m always there so see you then. Billy Neal at caddy enhancements has always got doors cards or electric windows and he will have a set with the same plug as yours. Tell him your from DTE TV he’s super helpful 👍
Where’s the link for the cable you mentioned??
Nice job 👍 van is mint.
Hey Phil thank you mate 👍 my mate is happy with condition is nice to start with a clean motor rather than scuffs and scrapes everywhere.
Do you also need to change the metal door plates if you allready have electric windows and want the touran door cards?
Hi bud I did change the metal plates so all the bolt lined up with the handle but my other mate has got caddy plates and one bolt lines up to hold the handle 👍
great video mukka 💪🏻 ive not got a ford anymore 😢 😢
Thanks grant, oh what!! You’ve finally seen the light and bought a Vw? 😂😊
@@YTDTETV no plans didn’t go that direction in the end something came up and decided to go for it can’t say just yet need to do the video first 😂😂
Как всегда супер!!!!!!!😊
Thank you Andrey 🙏👍
Good clean van
Thanks Ragnar 👍👍
Nice video once again ;)
Thank you mate 👍
Ahhh, yeh, great video, nathan
Where you guys based , tried to look online had no luck

I'm still working on my caddy the 6 speed box is in gt golf front brakes done just fighting to get the clutch bleed
Hey Nigel, I just use a piece of thin hose and pump away. Sometimes getting the first bit of air out is a pain so I have a pressure bleeder to push it through. Hopefully you sort it mate 👍
@YTDTETV I will let you know mate
The spring has snaped in the clutch pedal so van is still off the road going into week 4
The £70 lead has canbus in to trick the bcm so it shuts down.
The £15 lead will stop the BCM from shutting down and over a few days of not using the van will flatten the battery.
Hey bud you are spot on 👍 he had a flat battery today and I did ask him if his cheaper loom had canbus
This guy is the caddy guru
Appreciate that mate I enjoy working on them 👍
Hi, is the caddy meet on next Wednesday? 😊
Hi bud yes next Wednesday 31st jan 👍 I’ll put a post up the day of the meet to let anyone know what carpark but will be the same as last meet.
@@YTDTETV ok thanks 🙏
Crying out for rail covers
Nice looking wee van for the money
Thanks Keith rowan is happy with it 👍
Make sure the cambelts been done ✔️
Yes he wants me to have a look at it very soon 👍
Good stuff Nathan , another convert to the Caddy Religion , you're gonna need a bigger car park at Lakesside , Ah Yeah
Hey John thank you mate 👍 haha I never thought about that but your right we will be taking up 2 levels soon.
Ah yea, nice job Nathan, looked a tidy van that!
Hey bud thank you 👍 it’s surprising how tidy it is I see so many slightly older caddys and they have little scuffs and marks everywhere, someone looked after this one.
Whatever happened about giving that black golf away 🙄

Reverse camera seems a good option, I see it seems to be an insurance question now, so can only help lower the extortionate prices there giving out!!
Hey bud I liked the nice little place for the camera and I don’t think it was expensive, yes I see insurance prices are just getting worse and worse.
My MK4 Caddy 150BHP Highline is fully loaded even has climate control but VW have been stingy as have bare metal noisy floor behind the seats yet the front is carpeted which was an optional extra as I ticked every box I could during the build programme.

Caddy maxi in that condition for less than 2k, bargain 👌
The new owner is super happy and we was the first to view, soon as I see it I knew it was a goon one 👍
Thought you was going to show trimming the door card
I did think about it but i literally cut it back to the line and it fit straight in.
