I love your channel, I saved it to show my daughter how you prepare yourself for the dive. How you embrace the excitement of the nerves. You don’t pretend it’s not there. But right when they don’t help you anymore you take a breath, you tell yourself something affirming and then go do an amazing thing on a small percentage of human beings have ever done. I looked it up, and Mostar is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has been long known for its old Turkish houses and the Old Bridge - Stari most, an extraordinary technological achievement of bridge construction. (I think that's actually a reconstruction of the original.) The historic part of Mostar is a result of interaction between the natural phenomena and human creativity throughout a long historical period.
Yup, that is a reconstruction - the original was unfortunately bombed and destroyed in the Yugoslav civil war. Though it doesn't seem like it, but the bridge is pretty steep on both the ascent and descent - I remember crossing it in flip flops which had zero grip and needless to say it was a struggle slipping and sliding trying to get to the other side 😂

I've been to Mostar!! It's so beautiful there and people usually ask for money before they dive off the bridge. And they only dive if they get a certain amount of money.
To think that Mostar was a killing zone no more than 30 years ago and that the present Mostar bridge is a replica. The original was destroyed in the 90s war.

When I was a kid this brige was on television quite often while being under fire and finally collapsing under shelling and mortars and the kids and adults in that area were torn to pieces by granades. It is great that the bridge is rebuilt and the old tradition of jumping into Neretva is revived and the streets are crowded again and people can admire the artistic skills of the young lady who makes that looking just like fun.
