I don't know if you have the members down yet (the Hype Boy MVs may have helped with that a little) but if not: 1:40 "She was killing that line" (starting the song) is Hyein (maknae); vest, long trousers 2:08 "I love her voice" is Danielle; white skirt and blue top 4:02 "I like her voice a lot" is Haerin; grey jacket 8:44 "I love her voice" that's Minji (the oldest); open jacket with tie 8:54 "I love all their voices honestly" ...I noticed 😂And you're right to, they all have great voices. Anyway the white top and black shorts is Hanni. Mind you all the looks I described only apply for the first 60% of the MV; they change outfits at 7:19 but I had forgotten about that as I was typing this comment lol They're 18, 17 (almost 18), 17, 16 and 14.. so yeah they're definitely not grown. (I honestly don't understand how Hyein is 14 and taller than all of them, when I first saw them I guessed that Danielle was the maknae 😂) It isn't quite as cutesy as the other songs but I still feel with all the cookie/sugar etc things it was still pretty cute. I get why people make a fuss about the lyrics (if Nicki or Cardi or someone had a song called "Cookie" I may have thought something different lol) but honestly I just see it as a metaphor for "love" or something. And yeah it's basically a performance video rather than an "MV" but it looks great, and I understand why they would chill a bit in the production of Cookie and Hurt, after the other 5 MVs lol (the Attention and Hype Boy MVs were at least partially short in Spain), and all of this for their debut release.
Oh thank you so much for letting me know who's who because I still haven't gotten their names down yet so this is definitely helpful!😄 Also yes I really do love all of their voices haha they all just sound so good! Ok yeah they're pretty young and wow I would've never guessed she was the youngest just because of her height! I agree I think by them adding the like giant cookies and fun edits and some cute lines it did still make it have this cutesy aspect but the lyrics just surprised haha but I vibes with the song! Yeah I actually loved how it was more of a performance video because I really like their dancing and you're right they've dropped so many music videos in such a short time that it was nice they took a break!
I love Newjeans and this song, but apparently the mature references are only obvious in English. Either management intentionally was okay with it, or it was an accident. I’m not as offended as others are about it, as long as the members consented to singing about what the lyrics imply. Still a banger of a track and the best one of the album in my opinion.
This song was a whole vibe honestly but I was a little surprised by the lyrics haha but it's crazy that the mature references are only obvious in English. Either way it's a good song!😊
its definitely not just the way you're thinking, most english listeners interpret it this way, but most of the korean public don't see it this way because they don't understand the english terminologies and analogies used, also this song was written by writers who are fluent in english and was also first written in english then translated to korean so... I have also seen 4 videos by korean youtubers who speak both languages explaining to other koreans why the lyrics aren't appropriate. but out of all the songs on the ep, i love the way this one sounds the most (it's so well produced), i just really dislike the lyrics. (if any of the fans read this, pls don't take this as hate, because i am a fan of theirs, this a critique/call out to their management :)
Apparently Korean's said that the lyrics was meant to be playful and chilidish like, it's just translate wrongly to eglish
Oh that's interesting because it really does translate wrong haha but thanks for letting me know!

making cookie is Korean slang for burning CD's so...but if you translate this to English, it could have double meaning 🙄
