Anyone want an update? Finners is healthy after a long battle, and major surgery due to cancer. He had his cecum and several inches of intestine removed. The support and sharing of this video was entirely the reason we were able to pay for surgery and the long recovery, thank you!! Seriously, we love our animals, and are SO thankful for all of you!
Finners is a happy and purebred Ragdoll, still jumping in our arms and giving us all the lovin’ we could ever want. Since this video, Nick and I have been married (for close to 6 years now), we bought a house, we had a human daughter, and added a 3rd cat to our herd 🥰 Our human daughter is 4. She’s amazeballs. She’s a cat whisperer I swear! Boo, the Blue Point Siamese, is 17 years old, both blind and deaf, and wonderful. She’s our Helen Keller kitty and irreplaceable! Finners the Ragdoll is 8.5 years old, and our bestest buddy ❤️ Pudding, our Siberian Forest Cat is nearing 2 years old. They’re all pretty much CatDogs. Very expensive p*ssy. Highly recommend.

The way the cat jumped into his arms - he wasn't jumping onto his shoulder. He was literally trusting Nick to catch him.
My sisters friend said that my cat will grow out of launching off stuff into my arms like that & she's now 6 years old & she still does it.
It's easy to read her for when she's going to do it too, because her body language says with a butt wiggle & a wave of her tail back & forth just before she launches.
I never miss out on catching her just right.
@@carpathiankenMine is 5 and he still does it too. It’s wonderful in hoodie season, not as much in summer when I wear tank tops. So I just have to watch for that getting ready to launch motion that they do and I have to pick him up before he launches because I don’t want to discourage it because I think it’s so cute.

@@MeowNow494 Your boy cat sounds so gorgeous. & very much like mine. She does play fetch. I tied up all these elastic bands so that when I shoot it across the room she has a significant item to hunt down & then she makes a brrt sound , runs to find it & then trots back up to me with it hanging out of her mouth with her chest all puffed out like it's unmistakable fun, drops it at my feet & I shoot it across the room & the cycle begins again. Because I wear a singlet under my polo shirt for work even in the summer when she launches on me the feeling like I'm being hugged by Freddy Krueger isn't too bad , but like you say, hoodie season is definitely best.
@@carpathiankenI've had a cat at a local rescue center where i did some volunteer work for a few years who would do that and, when you would wear a hoodie, would lay himself in the "hoodie" part to chill with you. You could then walk around the entire center and do your thing with him relaxtly purring right behind you the entire time. I think in his eyes the hoodie looked like a hammock 😄.

I watch it again and again... I love how in 1:14 the cat disregards his natural curiosity towards the box and the pillow and instead choses to jump into his owner's arms.

Charlie Kelmeckis and that hurt like a bitch sometimes. I remember giving attention to a friend’s cat someday. I think he was starving for it, because the next time I get in the house, the normally super calm cat runs from the other end of the house and jump on me looking up and meowing for attention. Problem was I’m 6 foot 2 and he did not jump very high, so he missed my balls with his claws by about an inch and a half... and when he got pried off he tried to keep his grip. Ouch.

I had mine for almost 10 years, but she started to frequently cuddle only in the last few months before we had to put her down.

If your cat hisses at you it means it either is sick and irritable (urinary tract infections and dental problems are common) or you just haven't put in the work to bond with kitty and are being overbearing and annoying to it. For the former take kitty to the vet for a check-up, for the latter you need to spend more quality time with kitty (play/eat/sit/sleep together).
This reminded me of when my dad would come back home from being away in the army for so long and us kids and my mum would have to wait to hug my dad because our dog would just be like “you guys don’t matter, he came home only for me, suck it!” And climb straight into his arms before we could.
I had a rag doll that would start crying and waiting for me when it was time for me to get home. They are so sweet and smart

My cat used to greet me like that everyday when I came home from work. I had a speaker (back when home speakers were almost 3 feet tall) next to the sofa, the door entrance of the apartment on the other side of the speaker. He would hear me coming down the hallway stairs, jingle my keys to open the door and he would be sitting on the speaker waiting, when I opened my arms he would jump up to me. Sadly, I never heard a full "meow' from him, as his vocal cords were injured at birth and he only was able to give a crackled throaty like sound.
That must have been the best sound in the world!

@Billie H. your cat seams to like you and i think you could make your cat jump up - you have to motivate in the beginning.. when you see it wants to go up, then take a small step back and tap on your chest while talking to it like"yeah come on" and hold your arms you like seen on this video with your pawns shown for a sec. and it will jump to you.
My cat used to jump up to me on command, and my friends was super impressed :)

I had a cat that would jump from the ground onto my slightly bent knee to my shoulders in one move. then stand across my shoulders meowing/purring as i would walk around my apartment. I could walk around emptying trash cans into a bag, and he would just balance on my shoulders the whole time. Sometimes I would hold him by the base of his tail as I picked things up; the cat freakin loved it! His name was Monster, one of the best pets I ever had.
Best part was when the cat actually jumped in his arms.

Once a lady said he was pretty and smart, so he jumped on her too and scared her shtless 😂 well he thought he'd give her some love since she was talking all nice about him but she wasn't ready for some real cat love.
