It’s amazing seeing how the room is coming together! I totally agree on not buying bins until you know what they will be used for BUT at the same time when they are cheap and match perfectly you just have to! 😅

What a blessing to be able to have your mom help you set up your classroom! BTS season is definitely a time when I wish my mom lived in the same city as me.
Know what works got for a magnetic board? Cheap cookie sheets if you can find them. I got a few years ago from garage sales and they work like a charm> Love how your room looks and the color scheme is so inviting!!

Your classroom is looking awesome. A good way to hang the shoe rack would be command hooks and hang a s hook with closure into the top hole. After the rack is secure you could hot glue one end to the command hook. I have one on my key chain to hold rewards tags, and none of them have fallen off. I found mine at Home Depot. This is fun seeing a teacher in the Sacramento area because I have family that lives in the area.

Getting old dvd cases and drawing on them with dry erase markers can work as whiteboards

the command hooks that have the movable silver hook works perfect with the over the door organizer. my bedroom does not have doors and that is how I hand my shoe organizers.

I wish I could go into my classroom and start filming my set up. My school is removing asbestos so we need to stay away! I'm loving the blue and green. The "read" sign looks great! Those dictionaries match your classroom so well....haha! Your classroom is coming together nicely! 😀

What kind of spray paint did you use to paint the plastic drawers from Michael's? I've watched other videos where they say it doesn't work and bubbles or chips but yours look really good!
Brittany York ummmm I used Valspar spray paint but I can’t find it at Lowe’s anymore!! Just talk to someone there I’m sure they will know what works!
I wish I could do that to my wall, but my fire department needs us to have flame retardant paper and curtains....they wanted me to take down my bulletin board because it wasn’t decorated with flame retardant paper, so I got it sprayed instead.

How did you save for buying alll the supplies ?! I’m trying to purchase things but I’m getting married in a week and have a million things left to buy but school starts the Monday after the wedding 😩 I’m overwhelmed with how empty my class looks.
Lluvia G honestly girl I stocked up on a lot of this before my first year teaching because I had 8 months to prepare. Also, I’m working extra jobs this summer for extra money. I only shop sales and buy what can last longer than a year!

I may have missed it but are those white 4-cubby shelves from Target or Ikea? Also, I teach Kinder so I don't have a "library" for my students, do you have a library where your students can choose books or are those books your read-alouds only?

Josh Jenkins I laminate the plain paper first!! Then cut the laminated paper with the cricut!
Would you consider doing a video on how you (step by step) make your letters?? I don’t have a cricut *yet😉*... and I’m a bit confused about how it’s done.. Thanks!!!

I just thought blues and greens were really calming and not as in your face as some of the rainbow bright colored rooms! To each their own 🤗
