Actually, Meruem sent that eagle (although unknowingly). When Meruem was having a monologue about how he is the ultimate being, he released his sinister aura, which scared the eagle that was resting nearby. But this is only what i think.

The King is basically having an identity crisis. Remember, it's been only a few months since he was born and from the moment he was born, he thought that he was the most powerful being in existence and that he was superior to every being in any way. But then came Komugi. The first sign of change in King's personality was when they made the bet. King tohought that Komugi's life was her most important posession and that he could take this posession away from her with ease. But he was proven wrong and he realized Komugi's resolve was far stronger than his. Here, the King started having doubts about himself but these doubts never came to his mind until Komugi asked his name. Realizing that he has no identity of his own, the King drenched into an existential crisis where he started questioning the purpose of his own existence and his power. At the start of this arc, the King thought that only the physically strong can survive but now his mind is changing
Nen is like any other skill, in that there are those who will learn faster than others. Some are able to discover and learn to manipulate their aura on their own without having formally learned it. These individuals are often known as "geniuses", "psychics", or "superhumans" to the public. This can be anything from inadvertently being able to use basic Nen techniques or unconsciously developing a unique Nen ability that can be used without really understanding how or why one is able to do so. Typically, Nen geniuses are exceptional craftsmen in their fields and their skills are related as such.
We all gotta remember, the king is just a new born, he is just moving by what hes instinct tells him, and he is now trying to discover who he is. Thats why he is soo conflicted with Komugi, cause it makes him feel emotions and taughs that go against hes instinct.
"Bald eagles have been known to attack humans, but the injuries inflicted are hardly lethal. During mating seasons, bald eagles become much more territorial. As with any other bird of prey, it best to keep a safe distance from a bald eagle and to respect the bird's space." Komugi however is blind and fragile so she cant protect herself from the bird attacks
@@BrianxStephanie You guys may not noticed it, but the eagle in this EP was fled away from Netero's aura before, and it was threaten by the King's aura again while the conversation among King and Royal Guards went on. That's made eagle's behavior even worse and attacked Komugi due to its madness affected by Nen.
I love the king's interaction with royal guards in this episode, not only bc of Meruem's development, but bc it shows the pov and character of each royal guard. Pouf is all about the title and pride of the king, he idealizes a merciless ruler. Pitou is all about a sentimental pov, he/she cares about Meruem's feelings, she/he wants him to be happy and ok. Youpi is just a loyal bodyguard. It's small dialogue but accurate
An important thing to note, remember back in the York New arc it was said that regular people can unconsciously use nen into whatever they are good at, that's how gon and killua were able to locate zenpile's masterpieces since it had residual aura on it, it may have been nen that she was using since she's a master at gungi
This episode is officially the genesis of Meruem's surprising human like development of his character like he was panicking when he saw Komugi's wounds, was florred by this
This episode is one of the reasons that Chimera Ant arc is one of the best arcs in all anime, if not THE best arc. The story telling and the emotional roller coaster of this arc is amazing.
Eagles are fierce animals, they do attack dogs, foxes, monkeys, goats, deers, small human children and even wolves. They are also smart and can figure out if someone is weak, old, sick or helpess and then they attack it.

In this episode shows that the King is ready to kill his own kind(eagle) for kumogi. Remember when Meruem was angry for the cows when theyre slaughtered and begging for their life
1- Keep this in mind. As this episode showed and as previously stated, Nen can manifest on special people in many ways, not just related to Fighting abilities. 2- Yes, the King has humanity within him. And that brings great evil but also great good. The potential is infinite. 3- Maybe that Eagle is some species that only exists in the HxH world lol
Komugi is one of those types that developed Nen ability just for a sole purpose, in this case, just for playing Gungi. They mentioned one time in past arcs about a man that created artifacts infused with Nen. That man's nen ability's sole purpose is to infuse nen in an artifact.
When I first watched this episode, in the scene where Meruem saved Komugi, I already thought Meruem is unconsciously falling in love with her. As what he initially planned, she's about to kill her but then he saved her on instict. A sign of him being protective of her. Though I don't really know what they really felt until the end of this arc.
Jaake pav bhaji kha tuu bhai And those are perfect reactions. Trying to formulate your thoughts and express comprehensive comments in the middle of the episode, will make them miss viral dialogues. Plenty of reactors do this, and later ask the dumbest questions because they didn't pay enough attention before and were busy giving out their thoughts which could have easily waited until the end. I'd rather watch someone reacting less (which is usually far more genuine) than somebody who reacts over the top if it means they pay proper attention to what's happening.
