Just as a heads up, i've actually used the neat aquatics flow pump guard, i'm sure at this point you already know but it severely impacts flow. As well as it's very difficult to keep clean as it's constant clogged up pretty quickly. I didn't actually like it myself at all as I had to turn up the flow so much to actually keep the flow effect I wanted.
That floating gsp's position in the softie/macro algae tank is so good. It's perfectly balances both sides with its colour. The rescape looks awesome - organised chaos rather than wild and out of control before

It was probably the nem that killed the stylo. I had a pink stylo that was doing great. My nem moved and stung it for a day or so. Moved it 3” in the same lighting and flow. Over the course of 3 weeks it just died off. Didn’t get stung again either.

Forget the overpriced Ecotech pumps and just get quieter, stronger, and wider flow with the Reef Octopus Octopulse for half the price and no mods. Plus, you have a Hydros now. 😊
In my experience all my birdnest corals like low light low flow except my green tip pink one, that one likes medium. But I killed a couple before I learned, cause everyone said high light high flow it’s sps lol yea right!! My tanks not even high par and they will die if there not very low. I also have had a rose bubble tip, it’s from thatfishplace. But mine has a bright green base it’s multiple colors but not as big and puffy as yours. I wonder if are roses are different all together or if it’s just are parameters are different.
For the RBTAs in my 135g, it has no green at all, that morpth has been popular locally and very affordable ~$40 or so (near you too, DMV area?); thanks for the tip on the birdsnest. May I ask around what range of PAR do you find success? I wonder if the purple one I got was also getting blasted by too much much all of a sudden. It went from ~120 PAR to ~170 or so after the move.
@@InappropriateReefer I wish I knew my par but I don’t have a a par meter. But i know my par is not very high. I got 5 small tanks and a 100 gallon sump. they all got cheap nicrew 50w hyper reef lights from Amazon except one, and that odd tank has a radion 15 blue and a old Dave Fason Nanobox led and the radion is under 35% power and it’s mostly just blue. And that tank kills birdnest it’s to much light. But they grow nicely under the Amazon lights and there only 50w, I use blue only turned up half way.
I would guess the spots mine are doing good In are under 100 par or very close to 100. In my experience to little light on a birdnest is better and it will survive longer than too much light. As for flow I’m not sure yet what’s better I’m still undecided cause I feel like mine look better under low flow lol it don’t make sense from what people tell you.

Yes sir, I'm only dosing saturated Kalk (not reactor) these days. If I need bigger adjustments I use ATI's coral essential pro to adjust the K and Ca.
