I am an engineer who is unfortunately at a stage in life where time is short to go around the world and discover new sounds but thankfully I am a big fan of these guys and I get the chance of hearing distilled, refined music through their funnels.
Wow !! They pick Wara from Bolivia !! That album El Inca its a milestone of the rock culture of my country Bolivia, they made this fusion of progressive rock with folk traditional music from our culture !!
A lot of soul fans had these guys records in there collection, so I bought their easy eye exclusive colored record that's autographed and man I was blown away 🤯. These guys are bad ass. Glad I took a chance on their new album. Super happy with it.
Es interesante ver la selección de discos q hacenlos hermanos Gutiérrez . Megusta el eclecticismo q muestran por lo variado de sus discos e influencias
How do y'all decide who gets to do these videos? A couple months ago I saw on insta that Deke Dickerson had visited Amoeba (in full-on, tailored Western wear) so I presumed that you all *must* have been doing a "What's in my Bag?" segment with him & his band... but as of yet I haven't seen anything. Deke deserves some recognition after 30+ years of touring & writing & general old-school American music advocacy, folks!
Brazilian music is mostly European and European and African while Ecuadorian music is largely Native American.. they have nothing to do with each other
There are some indie musicians evolving pop sounds and pushing into notoriety. They won't be picked up by major record labels anytime soon, but bands and musicians such as cut worms and king gizz are pushing the envelope. Amoeba should do a segment with cut worms by the way.
It usually has to do with new copyright claims blocking the videos in new and different regions. We have to go chasing them down to get approvals so they can be visible again, which we're happy to do. Are you looking for a certain episode?
The Black Keys have been in the business for so many years? I mean, it seems like a long time just bc their music is so tedious but has it been that long? Not really.
These guys…the music literally fits anytime of day or night.
for sure. when smokin' a blunt or spliff. anytime!!

I was a little disappointed when they picked G&R... but nah, this is one of the coolest lists I've ever watched on "What's in my bag?"

Super uswahl jungs ❤
Does anybody know why a lot of videos on prior seasons of WIMB are private now?

I’m not looking for any specific video, just curious. Thanks!

Almost a quarter century?
@@chrismason4224 in terms of rock music, that's not so long. Regardless, someone please make them stop.
Los Pollos Hermanos.
All great picks except The Black Keys
